Snack on tapas and sample the first rate sherries at N 33 Crosby a small, shadowy downtown hangout. During the week, the crowd is a local mix of artists and their ilk. On Fridays and Saturdays, it is a packed pick-up scene. The food is delicious but drinks such as their tasty mojitos are a treat.

dark, romantic, teeny. Tapas are just ok.

Awesome cozy spot. Great for dates!

Best Tapas bar in New York.

Great tapas bar. Off the beat track but that's why I like it. It is very small and intimate; they have a great LITTLE VIP room; seats maybe 6 ppl. The food is really good and the bartenders are usually pretty good looking and friendly.

great intimate Flamenco performances on Wednesday nights

"I am annoyed at the existence of this place for two reasons, it replaced my favorite bar, Speak Low, with only a couple of days notice, and second, the food is blah. The bar food at Speak Low was so much better. The food here is like an imitation of tapas, the portion are tiny and the food is not good. We went opening week so maybe it's improved but I doubt it."

The bartender disappeared periodically.

Get there early or prepare to wait or stand. Helps if you are under thirty.

Great post-hipster date place. Drink a glass of sherry and fall in love.

"Fun place to go with a date or a group of friends. Private room is great, as is the Sangria."

still sexy.

Perpetually rush hour crowded; wonderful choice of sherries and tapas.

Good tapas. way too small and service is a bitty spotty.

If you love Tapas, this is your place.

Good food, great date place, if you like aioli like me, it isn't on the menu, but if you ask for it, they will make it for you. It is small, so be patient when you go because you will probably have to wait for a seat at the bar.

Hi,
We came by on a Monday night to see the place for my boyfriend's birthday...we waited at the bar at least 20 minutes before getting a drink, same for the next one. The server preferred talking to his friends whereas everybody was just waiting.
Anyway we decided to book the backroom for the next Saturday since we did not have any other place and since we were around 30.
We called twice in the week and the girl on the phone was very kind and told us that there was no [roblem as from 10 pm.

I often come to N on a weeknite, but I've also made the occasional visit on the weekend. While crowds predominate starting on Friday, one thing is absolutely consistent throughout the week: the service. In particular, there is a Russian bartender who complements the serene and, dare I say, ethereal, ambiance of the space. I honestly cannot be more unqualified and effusive in my praise. Every time I go there she has always made sure that my party and I are comfortable, and when I happen to arrive alone she engages me in conversation with a sincerety that makes group therapy seem as...

Great wine bar after a day of shopping

Disappointing. used to be one of my favorite places. The food still remains fairly good even though the tapas seem to have gotten smaller.

Sherry selection is what make this place great! Appetizers are good, but not perfect.

Fun; tight; go early

Quick bites, some slow drinking, maybe get a phone number

Very good food and Wednesday nights often bring some of the best flamenco dancers and musicians in the city, especially the stunning Neli Tirado. I just wish they'd knock out the wall between the two halves of the place so there would be enough room to breathe and more than 10 people could see the performers.

teeny tiny, but delicious pitchers of sangria will help you forget how cramped you are

Great bar/tapas!

Wonderful Tapas Bar filled with a young clientele served original and very high quality tapas accompanied by a good selection of wines and sherries.

A Venezuelan and a Russian flirtateously stir up a dangerous assortment of sinful sangria, tapas that soothe the soul and mysteriously enticing witty banter. If you're smart, you'll hobbyhorse your way here on a Wednesday and the flamenco taps will bring you far from Soho and straight to the heart of Buenos Aires. The strategically placed candles set the mood and your glass is never empty which makes N a deliciously unavoidable secret. And who can resist that kind of temptation?

great food, great atmosphere, only complaint was Aussie bartender who got our order wrong and barely paid any attention to us when we wanted something. we're definitely not needy restaurant/bar patrons, but do expect some sort of service at an establishment like this. overall great place, bartender needs an attitude adjustment.

I really like to stop at this place for a quick drink and tapas and catching up with my best friend. I've only gone after work hours so not sure how it gets in the later evening hours. I love their pulpo and cheese dishes. We always get either the mojito or caprinha and we've yet to be disappointed. It's quite small so you want to make sure you don't go with a large group and the drinks are pricey ($10/each). No happy hour special that I can see and cash only, which is another minus at times. i stopped off for a glass of wine during a day of shopping with my girlfriend last weekend, and the service was so bad i felt compelled to write about it. it was saturday afternoon and the girl working the bar was chatting up a guy and completely ignoring everyone else. the wine and food selection is fine, and exactly what you'd expect for a tapas place. the space is really small, but not bad as long as you don't go on a weekend night. i've been here maybe 7 or 8 times, and every time had poor service. i just have no tolerance for this in manhattan where there's so many options. next...

We had deliberated about where to go so this experience was especially disappointing because we clearly chose wrong. The Aussie bartender could barely stand to give eye contact and begrudgingly showed us to a table. Tried to make us sit at a table that wouldn't fit us because it was closer to the bar, so he wouldn't have to walk as far. Took our order without writing it down and got it wrong. Kick-ass Sangria, excellent tapas, and nearly secluded location makes it an awesome midweek or weekend destination.

This place serves really good sangria (however it was a bit pricey in opinion). It's small and narrow, seating is limited. It's very dark inside and can get crowded, but not overwhelming. I hear the Tapas is good as well. I don't think it's great date place, but it can be intimate. I wouldn't say romantic either. A good place to socialize and meet up with friends for a chill evening.

the decent bar munchies go well with the hot waitresses and bartenders.

really nice atmosphere. wish they had a few more (or at least different from time to time) options for food

delish, authentic, and crowded

Fabulous find! Great place to take a date, or to get one! Excellent tapas and romantic booths.

Great tapas bar. Nice date place. Seating very limited.

Quirky little tapas bar with a labyrinthine casbah of private little booths.

sexy litttle tapas bar - my favorite!

For a dark, quiet drink and tapas, this is the place to go. Be prepared for the cash only policy, but once you stop at the ATM, be sure to get the cheese plate with individual jams and chutneys.

Great atmosphere, shame about the limited bar menu, as otherwise it would be a perfect tapas bar.

If you don't like a small space you shouldn't be in a tapas bar. this place is great.

Great tapas, great atmosphere. Waitress was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the food and the wonderful sherry selection. Highly recommended.

True After Karaoke Hang Out – Driving in from Jersey, I anticipate N as the place to swing by after singing and bonding with friends in Chinatown over a great karaoke song. They are the greatest....I can't say enough. The bar staff is extremely accomodating of crowds of 10 or more. If you need to remember a moment, everyone is willing to pose for a photo along polka-dotted walls. This place was so cool. Sangria's cheap, food's chintzy on portions but chintzy on price. Crowd reminds me of home.
