Masters Security installed a whole home intercom system in my newly built home last year. Now, the talk button on the main panel is not working. Called for service and was told there is an $85 service call fee. I understand a reasonable fee for gas and travel time, but $85 is a rip-off! Figuring that they will only be here 30 minutes AND they will charge for whatever work is done - the $85 fee is the equivalent of $170/hour for a tech call on a system that they installed! Most folks don't make $85/hour let alone $170/hour. To put it into perspective, most contractors I've dealt with charge around $30 - $40 for a service call and apply the fee or some portion of it to the final charges. I don't mind paying fair rates, but I won't be gouged and ripped off.

I was given Master Security's services as a birthday gift to tame my growing multi-media network at home. The team arrived on time, developed a solid proposal and did a great installation. I also decided to convert to their security system and service as I was having continuing issues with my ADT system.
