Help us make it rightMy name is Nunzio LoMonaco. I immigrated to America from Palermo, Sicily in 1975 and started making New York Style pizza in Brooklyn, NY. In 1978, I moved to Virginia Beach and opened Mamma Mia Pizzeria, bringing with me the Art of Authentic New York Style Pizza. For 35 years I have made the BEST, the ORIGINAL, New York Style pizza and traditional Italian specialties. Come and try it, you'll...
This place is super cheap. It's a little old italian man who is very friendly and tries really hard to make you happy, problem is the pizzas are...
Simply the best pizza in all of Tidewater! Friendly people, quick delivery! Awesome NYC thin crust pizza! The owner are great people! So are the employees!
I have had Mamma Mia pizza a few times and most recently take-out and at a school function. The location has awful visibility from the road. You have to know where it is. For me easy because it's in my favorite strip with.... yes prepare yourself for a shameless plug; Brass Bell. The joint is small, not really …
Had the pizza for lunch and had an order of garlic bread with cheese as well. The pizza was o.k.Had the meat lovers. It was tasty, but just o.k.The garlic cheese bread was horrible. The bread was dry and the cheese looked like it was put on there and microwaved. It was a glob of cheese. It was not even edible actually.
The owner is the best. Our family was in Chicago having deep dish. We were disappointed and were killed on the price. Mamma Mia's is very fair on their prices. Just like supporting the little man business
Great food and drink, good service, Great atmosphere. My family and I enjoyed everything about our dinner at this restaurant!
Their Italian food leaves something to be desired (we go to reginella's for that) but their pizza was amazing. In fact I just ordered a large egg plant right now. Can we say yum?!?
Make should like like you are in Italy!! Love the gentlemen with his Italian accent who cooks! He is very funny and nice.
THIS PLACE SUCKS ! IT IS NOT ITALIAN FOOD AND IT NO WHERE NEAR ITALIAN FOOD . . . the owner is a knucklehead who cannot get REAL Italian foods like cheese, brad, olive oil, and he serves cheap, mass-produced, GARBAGE food ! He does not even use butter on his garlic bread.
The place is a mess, and looks like...
Last visited on Feb 18. We found this place years ago (2005) when I was tired of "chain" pizza places and wanted something better. We had seen the sigh from the highway many time and thought we give it a try. On our first visit the owner greet us very friendly and has ever since. On that visit we dined...
We stayed in Portsmouth at the Marriott and had taken the ferry across to Norfolk, looking for the mall. The first place you come to is a small little strip mall, with a very small food court. We decided to try the pizza. Ohhh, that was one of the best NY style pizzas. The slices are huge and it is...
Have you been wondering where the really good local food is? Mamma Mia...
I have been to Italy and thought that I would never find a comparable place...
My wife and I got tired of pizza "chain" delivery and went to a real pizza place. That was four years ago. This has been the only pizza place we have visited since and have not had "chain" pizza since. Our last visit was 2/12/09. It's nice to see a real and very friendly Italian toss the crust in the air. The crisp crust is the best my wife has tasted and is her favorite part. Before...
The most authenic Italian pizza in Virginia. Don't expect it to be ready when you come but you won't be disappointed. Try the spinach but have him subsitute the white sauce instead. We love the place.
