Combo wrap. Cheap and fast food downtown that can cure your hangover and nightly munchies...if only they deliver too...
My favorite!!! I come here all the time for their gyros. At the low price and quality food, I'm always happy to visit soulavlki. I always get the grilled pita with my gyro- (pita with tzatiki...
Best chicken salad ever!! Awesome service.
Love this place. Always fast and always delicious! Really looking forward to the one in Radford opening!
Food was great and delivered quickly. Service is always good. Souvlaki is a great place in Blacksburg.
Souvlaki is a downtown Blacksburg institution, from the food itself to the football graveyard in the window (I can't believe none of the reviews have mentioned that!). When we ate here recently,...
I will NEVER go back here again. I am an alumni and was visiting for the weekend and decided to visit here for a throwback to college...big mistake! The service is absolutely terrible. They...

Best people watching in the Burg. Mike Buchanan is the best restaurateur in this town!

Always great marinated chicken; soft warm pitas; nice folks; and the cucumber dressing, falafel, Greek salad - all fantastic!
I am addicted to the spanikopita, the cheese steak sub, the combo, and the cool peeps who work there. It's my comfort food! I ate there thrice in one day. Can't get enough~
Quick, interesting, delicious, genuine Greek food is what you'll find a Souvlaki. I like the gyros plate for lunch. Watch them prepare your food and enjoy the banter of the patrons and staff, or read the paper on the counter. If it's football season, check out the Hokies' progress in the display in the window.
Absolutely some of the best food in Blacksburg- from the gyros to falafel, spanikopito, curly fries, baklava, hummus and beyond, I just can't get enough Souvlaki's! Also love their selection of craft and seasonal beer along with the usual favorites. This is a must eat place for anyone in the New River Valley!!! Show me gyr-O face ;)
This small restaurant is nestled in an eclectic area of Blacksburg with lots of other small restaurants. You place your order at a counter and a server brings it to your table. Assuming the prices reflected portion sizes, I ordered way too much. In essence, I ordered two medium-sized lunches.
We sat outside in perfect temperature. The server found us...
Souvlaki is by far the best greek restaurant in blacksburg and possibly the best restaurant in town! The food was amazing and fast and the servers were very freindly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting blacksburg! You havent experiencded blacksburg until youve had souvlaki!
In the past I have loved Souvlaki but today was an exception. While waiting to place an order, I watched the same worker behind the counter handle food with one glove on, remove gloves to scratch hair/head and wipe sweaty neck, handle money, clean some counters with chemical cleaners and then go back to preparing food with NO GLOVES on,...
Love to go here when I visit Tech. A no-fuss Greek diner with excellent food. We usually order the chicken souvlaki and baklava, or the pita and hummus, or... It's all good. Can't go wrong, and it's reasonably priced, to boot!
I'm a little biased, but I love this place.

I've been going to this restaurant for decades. It is delicious. It has always been delicious. I will cry forever if it ever closes. This may in fact be my favorite Greek place in the world. I love Souvlaki. Forever.
By no means is this place a 5 star gourmet Greek place but it is definitely somewhere I love to go time and time again! It was a great gyro and I have to say the pita bread is so soft and yummy, I could go there to just eat the pita all day! Great late night eat as well....

Food is ok. ambiance not so much. LOCATION is what keeps this place going. Prices are reasonable.. Better & more authentic Greek food is available in Blacksburg.

Called to inquire about items on the menu I was already viewing online. I was told to go online before I call with questions. Really frustrated with the lack of customer service. Busy or not that is no excuse.
So delicious

You cant beat the Gyros and the place just has an atmosphere that welcomes all even though your in a college town. The place will be there always an forever I would say. I have been going there 20 years now an never had a bad visit. If your in Blacksburg VA, then you have to try it out.

Souvlakis is one of those mainstay locations in a college town that serves up good food at a good price. Their gyros are authentic, delicious, and the best in town.

Good, cheap, Greek food with a bit of standard American touches. You can get a 16" sub with four or five meats for $7-8 and a gyro plate for about $6. In short, the food rules and you can't beat the prices -- but I always get my food to go, it's a tad cramped inside.

First visit! I ordered the roast beef and cheese16' sub! It was delicious! Not much seating but neat little spot! I would recommend and will be back. Staff friendly, very reasonable prices too!

This is a college staple in Blacksburg. Service is usually very fast and friendly, and their gyros and kabobs are delicious. Beer prices are good too.

Not the greatest atmosphere in this small restaurant just off of campus, but trust me it's great in every other respect. Excellent Greek food, speedy service and great value!
From the front you really wouldn't make much of this place. However, the gyros and other Greek items are a pleasant surprise. Steer clear of their traditional bat food, bench r fries and the like. They're just the bagged kind.
I visited here one lunch hour with a friend. What a score! I love the souvlaki and other pita sandwiches. Pair a pita with some fries and a coke and you can't go wrong. By far better souvlaki than The Greeks.
I love the location, too. It's easy to walk from campus and generally easy to find parking nearby after-hours....
One of the best Gyro's I have had (get extra sauce) ...don't be fooled by the building...it is a small place. But well worth it.....
Without a doubt, my favorite lunch spot in Blacksburg! Great prices, generally super fast service (unless you catch them on a slammed lunch rush). Subs, Gyro, Falafel, Spanakopita, Hummus.. the list goes on!
A tradition since my first stop in Blacksburg in the mid - 80s. This place is where I had my first gyro... and no other place I've been to in nearly 30 years even comes close. The restaurant is small, so don't expect a seat during busy weekends (like game days). Somehow, it doesn't matter. The food comes quickly.

I loved this place once in a while while I was a student at VT. You can leave very full for $10-12, less if you're smaller than my 6'2" self. No frills here. Plain decor. But low prices and tasty food. Can't beat what you're getting for the price. Not very fast and not open late are probably the only...
I had found this restaraunt while planning a college visit with my son. I had read some reviews that were not flattering regarding service. My experience was great. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was outstanding. I recommend Souvlaki for quick good food.
The food is really, really good. It's basically Greek fast food -- pitas, gyros, etc. -- but it is wonderful. Prices are quite reasonable, and servings are a good size, though not huge. This is your typical college town hole-in-the-wall restaurant. No atmosphere, just a few tables and really good food. It's the kind of place that, 20 years after...
I love their cucumber dip and the grilled pita! Souvlaki is great food for very low prices. Everything I have had here is good, its a two minute walk from the Virginia Tech campus. I have come here with friends many times and I'm always happy. Quick service for takeout. Seating in the restaurant is limited but I have usually...
This was close to the Virginia Tech campus so we walked there. It's a very small place - you can place your order at the counter and have a seat or sit and she'll come over and take your order. The food same out on disposable plates and plastic forks and knives - but we didn't care - we were...
Souvlaki is a no-frills Greek place in downtown. It has wonderful food. Service can sometimes be slow. The interior is small, so try to get there just before the lunch rush.
Great little hole in the wall near the Lyric in Blacksburg. My friend loves their grilled cheese pita appetizer with cucumber sauce. It was AMAZING! The prices were really good too. I had their traditional gyro pita and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is low key and kind of like a fast food restaurant. The food came quickly and was...
When you first walk in, it looks like a little hole in the wall, but don't be fooled by the appearance. There's a big sign on the wall that says " Don't complain about the service, because there isn't any." It's true, the service wasn't bad, it just wasn't there. The food is fresh and quick and the prices are...
The food is great - I usually get the combo (a wrap with the combination of gyro meat and souvlaki meat) with curly fries. The staff is really friendly too. Seating is relaxed and you can move tables and chairs around to make your party fit. Good location off college avenue near parking and campus.
Great Gyros & other specialty items. The dining area is small, but turns over pretty quickly and they have counter service. We order to go & eat on the Henderson lawn just down the street.
Get the Gyro! It is amazing. Maybe 2 if your hungry
Good food, not a long wait...friendly service. Owner on site most of the time to handle anything...great people! Great food!
The atmosphere was relaxing- one of those places you could go hang out w/ your friends. The food was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My boys have already asked to come back here next time we are in Blacksburg.
Crowded and sometimes hard to get a table. But the wait and food are worth it!
very simple and delicious Greek fast food, a legendary corner restaurant in downtown Blacksburg, also one of the best people-watching spots in town. Food to mouth in only a few minutes
