If you're wondering whether you should try lamplighter, don't wonder. It's hands-down the best coffee in town. They also have a selection of original sandwich and side recipes that are unmatched in Richmond. Go there. Right now.

I have to echo what Eric said in his review. I was really a fan of Lamplighter when it first opened, but it's quickly gone down hill.They seemed to have lost or fired the few employees who were polite???

Lamplighter is the best coffee roasters in Richmond. I've heard through the vine that business people traveling through Richmond stop here (far from the airport) for their delicious whole bean coffees.

They have an excellent lunch/brunch-style menu of sandwiches and snacks... which normally I wouldn't care about, but they have GLUTEN-FREE BREAD!!! It's on the white starchy side, but try the Black Forest Ham one. You'll be an addict too.
