We were in Williamsburg for our grandson's wedding and couldn't have picked a better hotel. It was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was good. Our room was great. Lisa at the reception desk was so nice and made us feel really welcome. The entire staff we met was so friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely recommend to our family and friends.
Nice room with larger kitchen area. Breakfast was great. Pool was a good size, would recommend updating some of the equipment in the fitness center.
When visiting Williamsburg we usually stay at another hotel but we selected this hotel for the indoor pool. Turned out to be a great choice for our spring break getaway. The hotel staff helped us through an A/C issue and provided a great replacement room. The breakfast was good with lots of seating space so you are not on top of the table next to you. We will stay here again for sure!
The facility is average but the rooms are comfortable and spacious.
Hotel was nice comfortable and room was spacious . Breakfast was muffins, juice and coffee . Overall very nice for price and location was perfect .
The hotel was great amazing pool, exercise room and even putt putt golf area. Newly renovated, staff was great. Beds could use some upgrade but everything was much more than expected.
We stayed here on our way to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. First time here and everything was exceptional bout to stay including that they permit pets. We will be back.
Mold in bathroom, exposed wood appeared to be rotten. Checked bank balance the morning I was leaving and I was charged for 4 nights instead of 1 night. Managers are not available and staff was not helpful at all. It took 5 days to get bank balance straight.
Very disappointed in this hotel. First of all we got there late at night so it was dark outside and the parking lot, and stairways were VERY poorly lit. Staff at check in was friendly but paperwork was confusing. You have to initial a spot accepting the nightly rate but there was no rate printed. Outside doors were marked with signs that said they were locked 24 hrs and you needed a room...
Derzeit (Okt. 2015) Besitzerwechsel.
The location is good - very close to Colonial Williamsburg and the Parkway to Jonestown and Yorktown; unfortunately the property is in dire need of updating. The carpets are worn (actually worn through to holes in some places) and we had a big section of paint peeling off in our room. We were not comfortable here.
Pros: Quiet hotel, comfortable beds, not far from town, windows open (I like fresh air)
Cons: a bit run down, could use updating. No thermostats, just very old heating/cooling unit.
This place is near Colonial Williamsburg and cheap. I don't recommend it. The room was poorly cleaned, smelled musty, and there was what I think was cigarette ash in the AC. The bathroom door catch was broken so it wouldn't latch, and there was hair in the bathtub. Worst of all there were a few little rust colored stains on the walls and many under the mattress seams. I found no clear ongoing...
Room was very clean. Staff was excellent. I would stay here again.
We did not know the hotel was under construction. The noise woke us up way to early. One day they shut the water off without any notice. The air condition in the room was very loud and the bed was not to comfortable.
It was dirty very dirty,We will never go back to this Arabian ran establishment should be checked to meet hotel standards I even took pictures ....
Toenail clippings and some kind of white powder on the floor by the bed. Eewww
We were awaken during the early morning about 2am because of a domestic dispute between another guess. I notified front desk and they said they would check into it. They apologized for the disturbance.
Room was damp and smelled like mildew. In-room coffee maker didn't work. Coffee maker for regular coffee at free breakfast had a big "under repair" sign. Are you kidding me? A hotel with only one coffee maker for regular coffee and it's broken?
First of all, expedia had it marked as pay at the hotel or pay now. I selected pay at the hotel but they still charged me prior to my arrival. The hotel is going through renovations, I guess turning from La Quinta to Mayfair. The elevator wasn't working. Luckily, our hotel was on the second floor. The stairs and room were rundown. Our air conditioner was turned on high but our room was still...
Had the AC on all 4 days and nights were still hot. I complained about it and still nothing was done. Overall nice hotel but horrible breakfast.
The hotel is going through renovations. You can hear hammering and drilling durning the day. Besides that the breakfast, pool and rooms were nice. I would stay at this hotel in the future once the renovations are complete.
Hotel was good for the price which about half the price of other hotels. Rooms were clean but it is an older hotel and some aging but overall they weren't bad. Third floor rooms are being renovated and are having kitchenettes added. The breakfast was not good but next door was a pancake house. Pool was nice and staff friendly. Overall it was good stay and kids liked it...
The hotel was a little gloomy (poor lighting) and its smelled like a there were cats and dogs in there. The buffet was was limited and I wasnt happy about the fact that the buffet closed at 9am and the same with the pool closing at (9pm).
I stayed two consecutive nights. The first night was good. Went swimming. The place was quiet. Breakfast was lacking selections. The room was clean. My second night the manager was super friendly and went above and beyond for my stay. But there was a fly in this room.
Remodeling bad surrounding s felt like We were going to somewhere scarry. Down ramps were my sons hit thier heads to a room that had God only knows what smeared on the walls. They are remodeling. So maybe it will get better. Great location
So.. occasionally as you guys read reviews online and you see those 1 star ratings where the people do nothing but complain and you have that sneaking suspicion that people are either just trolling or perhaps they're rival hotels trying to bash their competition. I'm a pretty tolerant guy - as someone who works with people all the time - has worked in retail and customer service - taught in...
I loved that they are pet friendly. The staff was wonderful too.
Hotel is under construction but they called us ahead of time to let us know. They also gave us a discounted rate because of it. I requested a room not on the ground floor but didn't get it. It's a request, and I understand it can be denied. Breakfast needs a lot of help. We've stayed here 5 or 6 times now and are hoping with the name change there will be a good change. Beds are so so...
Location was close to Busch Gardens and restaurants. Front desk folks very helpful and friendly. Check-in and out was fast. Indoor pool was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. A/C was not the best. It seems like the room never cooled down all night. It was pretty warm to all of us The bathroom was very small and tight to move around in even for the kids.
Great location for our trip. The hotel and the rooms were clean but very run down. They look tired. At one spot in the hallway on the 3rd floor was a ramp and a room that looked dilapidated.
The worst complaint - they shut off water Saturday afternoon and we could not use bathroom or shower and had a reception and graduation to attend. We had been out all moring in 90+ weather and really needed to shower. The first night the air unit sounded like a motor boat all night. They did replace that . Bathroom light was so dingy, we could hardly see. No mat in bath tub. If it hadn't...
The hotel has just changed hands and is in desperate need of repair Staff was friendly and helpful Pool was the upside of this stay
This hotel has seen better days and definitely needs some work. However, it is a great place if you are traveling with pets. No hidden fees for them to stay. We did have an issue with the cleanliness of our room, which the manager addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. The morning breakfast is adequate, nothing special. The location is fine, and the pancake house next door was quite good....
Hotel is under going renovation. Rooms on both sides of where we stayed was gutted. When we drove up upstairs window were wide open and drapes were hanging out. My wife was concern about our security. Over the couple nights stay, dust from the construction was in the air and my wife had a sore throat when she left.
We were in Williamsburg for my son's graduation and just needed a place to sleep at night while spending the days on campus and surrounding areas. This hotel was clean and quiet so it serviced the purpose of getting a good night's sleep. Parts of the building look a bit 'tired' or worn but it also appeared that the hotel is undergoing renovations. We were thrown a bit when we tried to find...
We have stayed here before and came back intentionally because it was such a nice hotel and a great place for dog owners. There was a nice area to walk the dogs, and doggie bags; the hotel itself has nice rooms, very clean and attractive and a very nice breakfast bar. Staff is just outstanding, as friendly as ever. I ranked the hotel facilities condition a bit down because we were at this La...
Hotel was almost empty, Lot of Construction in progress.. Great location
The hotel is under construction -- which we did not know until we had booked and paid for the room. Guests are only told once they check in, and work is supposed to be between 9-5, although the morning we stayed the noise started at 8:30 am. Several floors have no windows, and heating is minimal. Because there are few guests, it is clear the remaining staff does not care. There is construction...
Not bad but to expensive For as outdated that the hotel is breakfast wasn't bad though.
Disinterested staff was my main reason for the low rating. The breakfast was good and the room was in the condition you would expect for such a cheap price.
This hotel is good for families. A good value in the Williamsburg area.
Room was clean, but needing some maintenance as the backside of the bathroom door's paint was peeling, the door trim needed some repair and paint on the trim; furthermore, one of the window's did not lock. The room smelled as if it had been closed for a while, not musty, just stale. The broken lock on the window would not have concerned me if I had not been on the ground floor, but as it was,...
I have stayed in about 10 hotels from the northeast to Florida in the last month. Without question, this is the worst.....dirty, grungy, a mistake. The dog acceptance feature is a plus
We stayed here for 2 nights as we toured CW. It is really close to the CW visitor center and the eastern part of CW. Not close enough to walk but very close. The good: cheap rates, they allow...
Came here around Christmas time for few days. Hotel room seem run down. There is holes in blankets for bed and dirty. The tub had rust coming out of it and there is no drain. I couldn't give my...
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
1. Our window was held in with toilet paper2. Curtains were soiled with??? 3. Had to ask to have lights turned on in pool area...4. Torn carpet in hallways5. Not so friendly front desk...6....
Suite amenities such as refrigerator, microwave, etc\n\nBeds were too soft\n\nIt's away from the tourist which is nice, but still had convenient and pleasant dining options.
Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast variety.\n\nCloset was too narrow; could not hang clothing without causing wrinkles. Small vanity.\n\nQuiet location out of mainstream traffic, but convenient to historic area.
We had a great time. The hotel was a 5 minute drive (you could probably walk) to colonial Williamsburg and a 15 minute drive to Busch Gardens. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Nothing fancy. The breakfast was a bit better than your average continental.
Good location to shopping and restaurants. Lobby and exterior clean and updated. Room was less than expected. Pillowtop mattress not very comfortable, room needed updating and some maintenance.
great location, nice pool, kids loved the indoor shuffleboard & mini golf\n\nalthough this is a smoke-free hotel, smokers were allowed to smoke at all entrance to to hotel, including lobby entrance. terrible cigarette smell everytime we came back to the hotel, & unavoidable. should be a smokingcourt away from doors for smokers!
It started off on the wrong foot when we checked in and on the way to the elevator someone with a La Quinta nametag tried to coax us into seeing a timeshare at some point during our stay. We politely declined but that was not how I wanted to be greeted in the lobby. The location of the hotel was great, but the hotel and room left something to be desired. The room was pretty clean, but we found...
The staff were very nice. The pool was a good size, there was a 3 hole putt-putt indoors next to the pool\n\nBreakfast.\n\nIt was a pet friendly hotel, although I saw dogs, I never heard any barking.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast is average hotel breakfast, although the biscuits and gravy were a nice change. Nice pool. This hotel is a five minute drive to downtown Williamsburg or Busch Gardens and 15 minutes to Jamestown/Yorktown.We would definitely stay here again.
Location, close to Colonial Williamsburg. Liked the open area to eat breakfast. Nice pool and fitness room.\n\nBathroom door wouldn't close fully.
We really want to give this place 6 stars. We stayed here on our way to vacation. I accidently left my I pad in the room. We were well down the road before we realized it was gone. We tracked it...
Beds comfy. Room clean. Big dbl bed room. Nice tv and channels. Heat worked well. Shower water stayed warm forever. Breakfast was very very good and went till 10am and was refilled constantly. Sta...

I was a little skeptical about this inn because of the previous post. I found that our room/stay was really good. We stayed at this LaQuinta because my daughter did an overnight stay at CNU. My hu...
LaQuinta is a hotel I stayed at 5 years ago for a weekend.I enjoyed it so much that whenever I travel I always try to find a LaQuinta Inn in that area. Iloved the nice clean rooms. The staff are v...
So it's not the Ritz; but it's clean, safe, economical and extraordinarily pet friendly. I Recently stayed at a filthy outdated 'pet-friendly' hotel that was so unsafe. The difference in price and...
The room was rather large, modern and very clean. The continental breakfast was great and we were close to many attractions.\n\nNo
Price, pet friendly and staff. Reviews for the hotel's breakfast were overall not so great, but I guess I had lower expectations coming in. It was better than I expected.\n\nThe hotel was half empty, but we still could hear a lot of noises, people in the other rooms slamming doors shut, flushing toilets, shower running etc... Not well sound-proofed.\n\nConsidering pet friendliness, the room...
We were not here for vacation, but to spend Thanksgiving with relatives in Williamsburg. I would not stay here again. We arrived late, were given key cards that would not work. After another try with different cards, we still could not open the room. The staff tried and failed also, then put us in another room. The new room was cold, so we turned on the electric heater, and it blew cold air. We...
Three enjoyable days. The staff was helpful and polite. My dog was well behaved and welcomed at this hotel. The breakfast was great and almost paid for the hotel room given that it fed two growing and hungry boys. The location is close to Colonial Williamsburg and convenient to everything. It's a quick and beautiful scenic drive to Jamestown and Yorktown too. We will definitely book La Quinta...
The beds were clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet and it was a great location to things we were doing this weekend.
You can bring your pets\n\nBreakfast not very good selection, location of pool, pool closes too early
It's location.\n\nThis hotel was disgusting, there was a bag of garbage that sat outside the entrance for the entire 3 days we were there! Carpets were filthy and damp, breakfast was a joke. NEVER again!\n\nThis hotel was gross, it had garbage everywhere, employees smoking everywhere, food on the carpets that was there all 3 days we stayed! Cigarette butts were at every entrance and exit, even...
Hotel was very clean. Could us some updating but overall a very nice hotel. Also less than a mile from colonial Williamsburg. And about two miles from Richmond road, Ripley museum, food, fun.
Breakfast was typical. Stayed here and went to Busch Gardens.
We only stayed one night but it was very good. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. It is also great that they have free internet access.
Great location very friendly staff. Needs some tlcAround the bath area of room, but all in allA great price great location very good staff
Great location, great indoor pool and a note worthy breakfast buffet.
It was close to our destination.\n\nThe continental breakfast was gross and the staff was very I pleasant
Room 306 has a locomotive for an air conditioning unit. When we informed front desk they could care less. The room was very outdated and looked like patchwork repairs. Breakfast was a joke. We walked in to find kids digging their hands up the cereal containers. And a man using his fingers to pick pieces of waffle off the iron. Regardless we couldn't get out of there fast enough.
I have stayed at this La Quinta before and it was a better experience. I called 30 min before check-in time to see if room was ready and it was not. Upon arrival in the room the fridge still had previous tenants items in it. Also I had paid extra to have the memory foam pillow top mattress and that was not given. Enjoy the location and breakfast options are average.
the hotel had a colonial style building. We took a tour of colonial Williamsburg, and went on a winery tour, visited Ripley's 'BELIEVE IT OR NOT. Our stay was exciting. We met and spoke to people from all over the world.
I was visiting a friend for a long weekend. The room was very comfortable, but still a little outdated. They had a pretty good selection for breakfast. I didn't come to Williamsburg for the colonial experience, however I noticed that Colonial Williamsburg was just around the corner and the Colonial Parkway was close too, so very convenient. Also, it was definitely pet friendly. I heard dogs...
The family was gone for the day to Busch Gardens, upon our return, we found that our door had been left open. Complained to the staff, they acted like it was no big deal.Phone was broke in the room also.
Great location in Williamsburg.\n\nRoom was a bit run down. Clean, but needed some maintenance.
Night staff was accomodating. Beds were comfy. Everything was excellent.\n\nOnly thing that was not provided in the beginning was a do not disturb sign.\n\nBed was comfy. Love the location. Everything was clean and sensational.
Most gas station bathrooms are cleaner than this place. The beds are uncomfortable, and forget the pullout couch - sleeping on the floor is more refreshing.
This was really nice. No frills, but the bed was really comfortable, there was a fridge in room, and there's a decent gym and a pool. It was the week before Easter, though, and there were loud children and teenagers running all over the place - it did get quite loud. Thin walls, I guess.
the exercise room being open 24 hrs\n\nbreakfast wasn't very goodand too many pets
My room was quiet and comfortable. Checking in was quick and convenient and the staff were helpful. There were many towels and soap and shampoo were replaced everyday.I did not utilize the exercise room or the pool as I left every morning at 7:30 and returned aroud 8:30 in the evening while I attended a conference. The breakfast area was verynice, but I didn't have the time to enjoy the many...
Room was well-equipped with refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold items. Staff was friendly and helpful, business center was very handy.\n\nHotel is older but has been updated and is pretty clean. Pool was decent, hot tub is gone. Bathrooms could use a refresh.\n\nConvenient hotel in Williamsburg. Hotel is older but well-maintained and...
The hotel was clean, in good shape and value-priced.
Very clean and helpful. Nice breakfast. A few dog barks at night.\n\nI would like to have been on a floor without pets.
Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful and accomodating.Couldn't ask for more.\n\nThe property is old and a little rundown. Cracked, water damaged drywall in some spots; tile in bathroom was disgusting---grout was filthy and black. Carpets and bedding were scary to touch---felt dirty. Wireless accessible in my room\n\nThis La Quinta not as nice at others I have stayed at in the past. The...
yes the hotel was perfect location for everithing clean rooms a pool with hot water\n\nno was a good hotel\n\nhotel good price great location
The hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was great! Wow you folks really know how to please your hotel guests!
We went for christmas vacation with two families. The rooms were tidy. My kids enjoyed the holiday decoration of the hotel. Elevator was slightly dirty. Good breakfast. Nice and caring team. Overall it was beyond my expectation for the price we paid.
For the price, location I was very pleased with my experience with the La Quinta Hotel.
Great hotel to stay in while visiting Colonial Williamsburg. clean, friendly, comfortable, great location, nice continental breakfast, excellent price. will definitely stay here again.
plus pet friendly!, no better deal than this for families that would like to spend their money on Busch Gardens instead. By the way, no pets fees!Don't get fooled by the 3 stars, this hotel is very clean, big rooms, fridge and microwave, plus flat-screen tv, the double room is perfect for a family of 4, and for $100 a night including taxes, you can't beat that. Free breakfast, and nice and big...
Found a large bug in the room, the air conditioner was anemic and the back door was propped open during our entire stay even during the hours when it should be locked (i.e. after 10 or 11 p.m.).
I didn't have the highest expectations, but since this was a girls trip mainly to enjoy williamsburg, and not a resort-stay, I booked the hotel anyway. When we got there, the people at the front desk were extremely pleasant, and smooth sailing. When we got to the room, it smelled like mildew. Like a moist basement. We figured we could deal with it for two nights, no big deal. The linen were...
Great getaway.Close to everything we wanted to see.We could take our dogs. Room was very nice and had a lot of amenities. Nice indoor pool which we used alot.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the Williamsburg area.We stayed in a King Bed room (not suite). When we first arrived at the hotel it was obvious this was a renovation by laquinta, not a new hotel. The brick exterior was fitting with the area however and pleasant. When we got inside it became even more apparent that it was a renovation in progress. The room was not overly...
The hote staff is very friendly. The hotel does need some updating. Our room was pretty clean the only thing was the window was cracked and we did let the front staff know. The breakfast was pretty average the good thing was that it was available until 10am. I would definitely stay here again for a weekend stay.
Oops, we had spent the night in this hotel a couple of years ago and did not recognize it as the same place when we booked this time. The description says it has been renovated but it is the same as last time we stayed here. Our room this time was in a better location. The AC unit made a racket every time it cycled on which is extra loud in the middle of the night. The hotel is in a safe...
It would be better if there was an easy way to walk to the historic district visitor's center but that's not really the motel's fault. Also the curb cuts between the parking lot and the motel entrance weren't aligned. That's not a big deal if you can easily lift your suitcase for a second to get up a curb but some people might get annoyed.Otherwise, I really liked the place.
I have stayed at this hotel several times this year, the experience is outstanding. The rooms are clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and the morning breakfast is very good. the hotel is not...
This is an older hotel and management has tried to upgrade but the upgrade isn't cutting it. The rooms are average hotel room size. The rooms have a microwave and refrig which is nice to have but...
Checkin was easy staff very pleasent. The room was not fancy but very clean, TV out dated but who cares wasn't there to look at it anyway. The bed and pillows were pretty comfy. Microwave, Frig, in door pool (clean and a nice size) a plus the kids loved it, small gym, shuffleboard and a mini golf green. Free breakfast waffles, hard boiled eggs, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread,...
I have been relying too much on websites. This one said the place has a hot tub. Apparently they closed it a long time ago.
Convenient; but bed hard, terrible b'fast, staff OK
Stayed here with family March 2012. It's an older property and the details show it. However, the price is good and location great. I'd especially recommend the 2 room suites...they are just 2...
The room was quite large with 2 queen beds and still lots of room to maneuver. The bed was comfortable and the room appeared very clean. There were items in the hallways that appeared to need some attention such as the cover on the heater / AC unit was loose and falling away from the wall. All in all I felt it was a good value and I would stay there again.
I picked this hotel because of the price and location. The hotel was clean, but the bed was hard.
La Quinta Inn and Suites in Williamsburg is an excellent value. The hotel is clean, bright, and staffed with pleasant, helpful people. The rooms were a good size, the beds (temprupedic) comfortable, the pool was amazing, and the included breakfast left us full and happy. Colonial Willimsburg is an easy drive or you could walk. There are many restaurants and fast food chains in the area. I...
The La Quinta Inn and Suites is an excellent value. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are many choices at breakfast. And the pool is wonderful. Colonial Williamsburg is very close, as are many eateries and major roadways. I'd definitely stay there again.
We loved our stay at the LaQuinta. My daughter was in Williamsburg to compete in an Irish Dance Competition. We arrived around 5, the front desk person was very nice and told us all that was available to us. We checked in, found a restaurant from the magazine she gave us, went to dinner, came back and lounged in the pool for awhile. The pool was very nice and warm. There was a family playing...
Good trip if you like historical information. Good hotel, very good location and lots of things to do. Shopping, Bush Gardens, downtown Williamsburg, etc.
first time with your hotel enjoyed it very much alot to do but too little time nice and clean will be back again
This was a place you can bring your pet. The room was just OK, the bed was the best part. The old saying is.."You get what you pay for." Could hear people going in and out the side door and all the dogs up and down the hall. Needless to say the walls are thin. I wouldn't stay here again.
Cute and clean, while it may be a little bit off of the main Richmond Road, the place itself was great in that is was a little isolated off of the bustling hubub of Williamsburg.
Decent except for weird smell in elevator (probably because of ongoing construction)
The hotel was shabby looking from the outside. There was barely any patrons staying at hotel which should have been an indication about the hotel. The pool was nice but the spa was not working/closed. The rooms were average size but the carpet and windows were filthy as well as the bathroom. None of us took a shower at all. At checkout was doubled charged, which I found out later after...
