I always book this La Quinta when I visit family in Richmond. The room is super clean and everything works. The beds are the best for this price range hotel with plenty of pillows and an excellent mattress.
The complimentary breakfast is adequate and offered hot or cold.
You can't go wrong at the Midlothian La Quinta Inn.

This hotel is well maintained with clean spacious rooms, plenty of closet or storage space. Its location is ideal for getting around and into Richmond. Outstanding shopping facilities nearby. Staff was cordial and helpful and while we did not have many requests, they did respond promptly. Parking is free and convenient to rooms. Included breakfast was filling.

I have stayed here several times, while visiting my dog's specialty vets. The staff has always been kind and accommodating, and welcoming to my dogs, whether I bring one or two. My rooms have always been immaculate, comfy beds and linens, well-lit, and (a super bonus, IMO!) lots of accessible electrical outlets.

Stuff happens and hotels must take down time to do maintenance however when the plan for such changes to disconnect water from 9-4 happen you must next notify staff and the staff could do more than slip a paper under the door before you arrive for your stay. Rooms were not clean. We switched rooms once. Second room was also filthy, sheets were not properly fitted to the bed, they did not look clean. Headboard had unidentifiable gunk smeared on them. Bathroom floor stained and dirty.

Seemed clean overall, but a few things were missed. Sheets and cover blanket was stained.\n\nSheets were stained and dirty, didn't have extras to replace them, didn't have mattress pad for bed, when they brought us one a day later, it was a full size, not king the would fit our king size bed.\n\nFolks were nice and helpful, but seemed disorganized to an extent.

The rooms in the hotel are in dire need of refurbishment. There is a constant smell of must and some of the people in our party had wallpaper peeling back from the walls around the window with black mold showing under the paper. I stayed in this motel. I was terribly disappointed. The cleanliness was the 3rd worst motel I ever stayed in. I really mean bad. It was over Labor Day weekend.
