Outstanding sushi and the hibachi is not bad either. Definitely my stop while passing through Richmond.

I've sadly had better sushi from the grocery store. The sushi was not fresh, the fish did not seem to be chilled properly, and most of the roll flavors just blended together. Not that a skill cannot be taught - it's just a little disconnecting when the sushi chefs are not Japanese.

Unfortunately, I have to give Kobe a poor rating. I was really excited about trying this place. Had 6:30 reservations on a Friday night. They were out of chicken, shrimp, & scallops. Funny thing, it wasn't even crowded...hate to see it on a busy night. We were told we could wait for manager to get back from shopping. Needless to say, our table got up and left. Don't think we'll be going back.

Honestly, there are many places to visit when you go to downtown (restaurants), and most of them are really impressive and great. However, Kobe always seem to have a fresh food and has satisfied all my needs every time I visited.

if you constantly find a reason to deny claims, then what good are you? and why would people want to purchase any product from allianz. I suggest contacting better business bureau against alianz and contacting your fiance department in your state who allows them to operate.

Went there with a friend who's been raving about it for months, and I must say it did not disappoint. We had the hibachi for dinner... splitting a shrimp and a chicken entree. Delicious. Had a sushi roll upstairs with our sake, also delicious. Had a wasabi mary after dinner, and it was amazing. Wow, I really liked this place, can't wait til I'm back in Richmond so I can go again!

Mixed review. I will admit I love the Sushi here. Every time I come I get a different roll and always enjoy it. But on the hibachi end I will not have it again. Everything was over salted from the soup to the rice. And I'm a person that does use salt. So for me to say it's too salty does say something.

I frequent a few sushi restaurants, and Kobe has happened to be one of them. Going there, the atmosphere was great and I was expecting food of the same level. However, after ordering the food, it was not that great. Maybe being used to DC, they do a little different down here. If so, I still prefer Hana Zushi which is across the street, or another restaurant in the fan.

I like to eat hibachi downstairs, but there is also a sushi bar and traditional style meals upstairs. There is hardly ever a wait, the service is fantastic, and the food is delicious!!! You pay a little more for your meals than most places but the tastes and portion sizes are worth it!
