Help us make it rightI was not aware that there was a location on Virginia Beach Blvd at 1021 Virginia Beach Blvd Ste 104 Virginia Beach, VA 23451. a bit smaller than the Norfolk location but doing a land office business in Take Out although the small dining area...
- got the pollo flautas . . . took 1 bite out of one flauta: rancid/old chicken . . . took another bite out of another flauta: got a big piece of cartilage
Visited Jessy's for a work get-together and was quite impressed. I arrived about an hour early and luckily found the very small bar located just off the main dining area. By small I mean extremely small as there is only three stools. Being I had...
The only authentic Mexican that we found in the area, plenty to choose from, tacos al pastor stand out.
You know that you are in right place when you go in on a Sunday and you are the only non latino!
I have eaten inside and taken out at Jessy’s Taqueria. It is delicious and affordable! The staff is very nice, even to those not fluent in Spanish! Take a look at the most awesome bakery! There is a store inside with so many Mexican options....
We reserved room for 25. Plenty of room and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. Mixed drinks were great and the food was fantastic. Would definitely go there again.
I had heard about Jessy's but seldom get to that part of town. Had the occasion to be there for lunch. It's not fancy but that is half the charm. A small disclaimer. I was raised in Texas and lived in California for many years...
This might seem simple but being from Los Angeles, Ca. and living n Virginia, good salsa is hard to come by. Jesse.s has great salsa and homemade chips. Great start to any meal. Place was simple with authentic touches. Give it a try.
Went there on a saturday evening. Was almost full. The food is good service too. A pity they ask 2dollars for tacos chips as a starter whereas almost all the mexican restaurants is free. The same to have a second side like beans puree on...
Local restaurant with great service and food. Perfect margaritas, great chips and salsa. You’ll love their burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and any of their authentic foods.
The best Mexican food in the 757. This isn't an overpriced Taco Bell (like Plaza Azteca), this is serious food. They have everything you'd find in Mexico. The service is hit or miss, but whatever, the food is yummy. I have been going for years and I will continue to go back. Try the shrimp taco or the cheese enchiladas. Perfecto!
After reading all of the reviews I decided to try this place. I have to say the food was pretty good, you must try the horchata , by far the best I had in...
OH EM GEE The food is spectacular. Bit of a long wait when I went, but even my very hard to impress coworker was too busy eating and raving about the food...
First all overpriced. I couldn't even finish my food, I didn't like it. The rice was like instant rice. Beans weren't great. I got a chimichanga, the meat...
Pan Dulce and Tacos de Lengue. If the two items listed in the title aren't enough to come here to eat then you shouldn't step foot in here.
Only decent meal is lunch special because it is so cheap! Margaritas are advertised as 12 ounces and are 6 oz. at best, mostly ice. For $9, what a rip off! Chips are too thick, service is inattentive at best. Had the mixed fajitas, shrimp were rubbery overcooked and tasted like iodine. Corn tortillas were white, pale, not even a nice toasted color to bring out the corn flavor.
Very good food! It was delicious and not dry at all. Great service.Probably my favorite Mexican food place in norfolk!
I took my family to Jessys today for the first time based on all the awesome reviews that I've read on yelp. I had high hopes for some authentic Mexican but I left very disappointed. The chips were disgusting(oh and we had to PAY for them) the guacamole was poorly made, the food took at too long to come …
The wife and I lived in Texas and to find Jessy's was the best thing for two Mexican food craving fools on the east coast. The dishes are prepared fresh, flavored to perfection. If you like traditional Mexican food, not including the "plaza" on every street corner, this is the place to eat.
Hands down best Mexican food in the Hampton Roads area. I'm from Texas and when I don't want to cook it myself I will come here! The waitresses are always nice and make sure you have everything you need while you're there. I've had their tortas, gorditas, carne asada tacos, and their caldo de res each …
Beware of the chips, and salsa they offer it without telling you its extra.
Ok let me start by saying that this is one of those examples of loaded reviews by family and friends of the restaurant if not employees themselves. Went there last night based on these "four...
Awesome and authentic food, with great prices too. We will definitely be going back! Yum!
Super friendly server, food was excellent!! Had pictures on wall of many meals but menu was descriptive enough.I had a steak quesotaco. It was corn tortillas, onions, cilantro, and some cheese...
I don't know what took me so long to finally come here, but I'm glad I did. The first thing I noticed and liked about Jessy's is that they posted up pictures on the wall of what the food would...
Went here for lunch on Friday. There were only 2 open booths, so we quickly took one. They are promoting their guacamole, and they offer 3 kinds of it - queso, chipotle, and jalapeno. I am not an...
There isn't a Mexican restaurant anywhere in Hampton Roads that even comes close to this place. Extremely fresh and as authentic as it gets. You will not be disappointed, unless of course you think Guads and Azteca have authentic food. You're not going to find a fancy light up bar or gaudy decorations ; but instead a well kept , low key joint that cares more about their service and most...
Great mexican eats. This place has some of the best (real) tacos around. Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo Asado, etc. Also they serve up some great enchiladas with mole sauce made in house that is fantastic. Several flavors of guacamole as well that will blow you away. Have to love the sodas in the old glass bottles as well (it's the little things). The only thing I recommend against is their fish...
