Everyone keeps saying this is a hotel. In reality it is an EXTENDED stay living. Extended stays do not operate like the fancy hotels. You do not get all the bells & whistles. It does need some re-molding, but it's clean and quiet. The staff will help you with just about anything if it is in their control. Sometimes staff...
This location was purchased by Intown Suites and is great. Everything else around was at least $700 for the week. I paid $300 here. Very clean. Smelled clean as well. Of course there is some esthetics issues with wall plaster and things but nothing like the previous reviews I read here.
This had to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I booked here only because they had a cancellation policy through Orbitz and I was trying to extend at where I was for the previous part of the week. When I arrived at night, there was already police there for some reason, there were people loitering...
The rooms are dirty and smell bad. When we checked in our room looked as if someone had been living there for a while. There was clothes on the bed and floor. There was a stick of butter on the stove and personal items in the bathroom. They gave us another room that wasn't to much better. Every time the...
I stayed at Savannah Suites Norfolk for two nights, and it was the absolute worst for several reasons.
1. The AC did NOT work. When I opened the door, there was an unwelcoming scene. The AC cover was on the ground and I could see the old, rusty inside of the AC. Maintenance came up to try to put the...
This hotel was horrible. First the lady at the front desk had her boyfriend there. Then she didnt greet us ans took my ID after i signed off on the room. Then the hall spelled of fish. The riom walls were dirty. And the sheets looked like they werent washed. The room smelled like the used cologne instead of air freshner. And there was a man that was looking at my friends up and down so we did...
Regular good staff clean rooms overall clean hotel okay location close to a lot of stores and restaurants
The hotel is listed as no smoking but the room clearly smelled of cigarette smoke. The mattress was completely worn out. You layed on the edge and immediately rolled to the center due to the mattress failure. The room door had no jamb seal ald let light and noise in. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
I was not happy with my experience there. The room was filthy, there were roaches in the kitchen, the floors hadn't been swept or vacuumed, and the refrigerator was broken. The staff wasn't the friendliest, and they could only provide us with one room key, which made it an inconvenience. Also, the guest above us were very heavy footed, and the guest next to us were VERY LOUD, I guess the walls...
I had bed bugs the room still has them. Everytime I would brinf towels and sheets downstairs they were never clean ones. I dont unserstand how there isnt eniugh linen and towels for everyone I would wait all day for linen and towels. There are loud people fussing and fighting all night. The staff is rude at times and openly...
overall,it was a good experience.room service was average.I can't complain.
you get what you pay for, was not comfortable with the cleanliness of room, odor, bedding , furniture was soiled, overall, ugh!
towels were scratchy and small, sheets were thin, and the bed was hard. the staff was friendly. good for the money.
We stayed at this hotel one night for a concert that was in town. I wish the room was a little more clean and I wish they had a hairdryer in the hotel in general. I had to go out and buy a hairdryer because they didn't have one. Overall, the staff was nice and accommodating.
Towels were small and scratcy. The room was clean. The beds were hard and the sheets were thin.
Nothing it caught fire while my infant was in it.\n\nYes that they did not offer a refund.\n\nNEGATIVE FEEDBACK
clean room and courteous staff and ease of check in and check out in less than 10 minutes.
This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in; the only thing positive about the hotel was it's location. The room is smelly, moldy and dirty. I always travel with some type of cleaner and deodorizer and I used it all. Fortunately, the staff was great, I asked for brand new linen, pillows and towels and they gladly accomodated and offered to help any way they could. This hotel needs to be...
The price of the hotel was good since it was the 4th of July weekend. As far as my hotel stay is a whole different story. First of all when we got there to check in the desk clerk was out front talking on the phone and smoking. We waited about five minutes before she came in. When she came in she did not wash her hands and she told the person on the phone to hold on. The next day which was...
The elevator was broke(I was on the 3rd floor). Had to give desk $15 deposit for 1 pot and 1 skillet (handle was broke on pot). The front desk staff would leave desk unattended for long periods of time. My room never received service the entire week, they did give us towels and wash cloths.
The price\n\nThere was no sitting area for smokers outside. The elevator was broken and there was a note on the elevator but that's it. The note should have been several places since residents walk long hallways to get to the elevator then have to walk ntakback. Dirty\n\nThis hotel would get horrible ratings. The location was great but that is it. It was dirty, dingy and stinky. I immediately...
It's an insult to the hotel industry for this so called establishment to be called a hotel! The room smelled like cat urine, the cupboards were dirty, the elevator did not work (and they put us up on the 4th fl with kids and my father who is handicapped) and there were flies in the room! Good thing we got...
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The room was filthy. The floor was sticky. The ironing board was broken. Baby crying in the nite. Very noisy people in the hall way all hours of the nite. horrible window view of a dumpster I asked for a nonsmoking room and my room smelled of smoke. I will never stay are recommend that anyone stay at this hotel.
Really enjoyed the stay. Only complaint was a squeaky bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was nothing fancy, but at the price we paid, it was much better than expected. Room was clean with stove, fridge, and microwave. Had a few problems, such as thin walls (a bit noisy at night), tv didn't work, and internet required an ethernet cord that was not provided. But it was great if you just need a place to stay close to the beach on a budget.
This hotel was just right for myself and my family. Had the little kitchen in it which was perfect. Room very clean, staff was very pleasant. Enjoyed the stay.
I guess we liked that the bed were comfortable and it was pretty affordable.\n\nThe first thing we noticed was there was no pool There was a 5 minute wait for elevators, it's call Savannah "Suites" but it looks and feels more like a motel. The staff was unprofessional and almost NEVER at the desk.\n\nThere's no wifi, you must give a $10 deposit to get a tiny cord for the internet. People seemed...
Nothing!\n\nBed bugs and the TV didn't work\n\nThe hotel was a waste of money we ended up with bug bites and the box tv did not even work.
The housekeeper who came to my room on Saturday.\n\nThe desk clerk was rude and unhelpful when I checked in and the room had pubic hairs in the bed and tub and floor and it smelled. It wasnt worth the price of the room. I was very unsatisafied!!\n\nPOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me, the hubby and all 3 kids stayed at this hotel in Norfolk to be close to grandparents this past week. The rooms were comfortable enough and we felt safe.
The location is fantastic making it easy for us to visit the ocean front with little effort of finding the interstate and the shopping nearby was great. Wal-Mart is only...
I read other reviews that said you could hear other people walking around and talking. I decided to focus on the positive and focused on the sounds as a comfort rather than a distraction. I ended up having the best night's sleep in a long time. There is a coffee maker in the room but you have to bring your own coffee. This is not a fancy hotel but I was here on business and only needed a place...
Me and my husband came to savannah suites for valentines day and I loved it so much I decided to stay another day the room was very clean. The location was good it was near all the grocery stores since the room came with a kitchen I decided to cook. The staff was very friendly and the customer services was too. We had one accident with the stove that set off the fire alarm and with in seconds...
I stayed here for a few months for college and they were alright. The people at the desk seemed clueless all of the time. My keys happened to fall down the elevator shaft (like how does that happen?) Cause it has a huge hole between the elevator and the floor. Well that's where my keys have been for the past...
Was there only for a couple of hours. Didn't spend much time there other to change and sleep...
it a decent hotel with great near by stores .. overall values for money
This hotel has a very romantic atmosphere. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves very much.
I was very pleased with this hotel that had fridge, stove, microwave, nice size bathroom and a nice room and comfy bed.
the staff was really nice and knowledgable, most of them. the two ladies that helped us was very nice. very reasonably priced and I hoping next year when I come for my cousins wedding that we will be...
The hotel staff was very down to earth although my boyfriend and I heard the maid cursing us out outside the door when she was trying to get in the room to clean but couldn't because we locked it. The lobby got very loud after hours. So not ideal if your getting this hotel to relax in peace and quiet. Loved the fact that it had a little mini kitchen. The kitchen and bathroom looked updated. But...
it was good; would stay their again. near to Walmart and other restaurant
If one needs to stay for one or two days .. its the perfect place .. walking distance from walmart and other foody places ...overall a nice place
Initial outside appearance was great, staff wasn't extremely friendly or helpful. The front desk never checked me into my room, and I had 3 different hotel guests also check into my room. I was given a refund for my inconvenience but the manager was rude about doing so.I would rather spend a little more money for a clean hotel and get a good nights sleep, I will never stay here again.
The room smelled liked smoke. Who ever was over us never went to bed they just bumped all night long. We did not get proper sleep thanks to who ever it was. There were no pots to cook in and if you wanted them you had to put a refundable payment down until you brought them back. It was the same for internet too. I would just rather pay a little extra next time to stay somewhere better. I dont...
The experience was not the best, but it suited our needs for a place to stay while we visited Virginia Beach, and Busch Gardens.Beds are very uncomfortable. I think the cleaning staff should vacumme closer to the edges or sweep. The kitchenette was in good working conditions and clean!didn't see any bugs!
The mattress and box spring were covered in thick plastic so when you moved it crinkled loudly and the sheets kept popping off. Walls thin. If you stood out in the hall waiting for elevator you could hear chatter from all the rooms. The front desk closed at 11:00 and you had to use your room key to show a guard who didn't even check it. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. Cheap hotels have...
The room was clean and neat, the staff I dealt with were friendly and anxious to be of assistance. The room had a kichenette that was nicely set up, the refrigerator was full size, there was a full pot coffee maker, plates and cups/glasses. If you wish to cook I would suggest you bring pots and pans. I have stayed in nicer hotels, however, for the cost, I found this one to be a good value. I...
It was nice for the money. Would stay there again.
The closeness to where we wanted to be.\n\nAir-conditioner wasn't working properly.\n\nIf the air would have worked, I think it would have made the stay much more comfortable.
When i went to check in there the front desk was very helpfull and quick. but the first room we we're given was a total disaster. water on the floor, garbage filled the trash cans, beds messed up, etc. we went back to the front and told her about our room. she quickly apologized and issued us a new room. our new room was in very good shape. besides me later finding out that the stove didnt...
We stayed here in between a vacation and an early flight out of ORF the next morning. While the efficiency suite was decent and clean, our overall experience was pretty terrible. We got yelled at in the parking lot by another guest, ostensibly for parking in the spot next to her. There were people sleeping in their cars in the parking lot overnight. The room next to us sounded like it was...
The hotel itself is fine. The tenants who stay there for longer periods of time (contractors/workers) must work in the hotel ALL Night long. Banging and slamming doors, walking and knocking upstairs like there's construction going on. What's that all about? Sleep before you stay here because there's no sleeping once you get there.
The initial room did not have a working shower head. The room we were moved to was closer to the reception desk. The person in the room abo ve us walked all night long. The fire alarm went off at 1 a.m., we waited outside for the o.k. to go back in. There appeared to be a 'party' in the hall after midnight, and no one was at the desk to report it to. We asked for a 6 a.m. wake up call and never...
I did not expect this hotel to be this bad. We get there and they had trouble with my credit card so they had to call 3rd party company to get corrected. So after about 20 min they got that straight. The clerk was gonna put us in a king room opposed to the queen room we had and then the other clerk states that they are doing work in the room and it's unavailable. So then she says is a queen...
I enjoyed my stay at Savannah Suites and will return on my next swing through Norfolk. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The internet was extremely fast, allowing me to get some important work done. The fitness center, while small, had great equipment and the full kitchen was a nice touch since I was there for a week. I would definitely recommend this hotel
I arrived at the hotel very late at night, i called the number that was in my confirmation and a night attendant came down within minutes to let me in. I thought it was kind of weird that the front desk was closed but the security outside surveying the area made me feel a little safer. I'm guessing they need security to keep all the crazy's away. overall good stay, nice staff, okay rooms, okay...
Nothing at all.\n\nCockroaches running up wall when we arrived in the room.\n\nThis hotel is nasty. When we got to the room and turned on the light, there were cockroaches scurrying up the walls!
I wasn't told when I booked the reservation that I had to call a seperate number to check in after 11pm. I arrived shortly after 11 to find the gate closed on the reception area and was forced to pay double what the room was for a different hotel. Luckily I found another room for the two nights that we were staying in town. There were bugs covering the reception area and the smell was awfull. I...
I left the hotel because bad oder.
If you see a sign that says Savannah Suites Norfolk, Run fast in the opposite direction, when I attempted to check in after a 4hr flight, I had to wake up the desk clerk who was none to happy btw, after several minutes of her composing her self and realizing she was "still at work" she finally gave me a room, (which was paid for in advance btw) upon arriving at the room, after setting down my...
It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

The price value was excellent.
The check in process was good.
!The staff was Great! We came all the way from Ohio and they made us feel like home. We had lots of problems with The Holiday Inn Select down the street, We went searching all through town for a place to stay and then we came here. and they took us in and got us situated very fast, They were very friendly ppl and if i ever come back to Virginia Beach you can bet that Savannah Suites is where will stay. Thank you all so much for what you did from us. The gang from Ohio
Excellent stay, all staff and employees need raises!
The quality of the housekeeping was excellent!
I originally selected this site because of Mr. Johnson's enthusiasm and professionalism. Later I found out that Jannet shares the same core professional values as he does. Thanks for making my stay wonderful!!
Thanks a million. Had a great say. Thank you!!

I can’t speak for everyone but I travel a lot and get tired of eating out all the time! For me it was a great find. Convenient, clean, friendly and very reasonably priced.
We have been here about 9 months, it has been excellent stay.
Great place. Love the staff. The bed was really better than mine at home. Thank you for such a great stay, keep up the good work.
I want to thank the staff, stay was nice, room clean. Excellent stay. All staff and employees need raises.
Kevin was most professional with my last minute (walk-up) check-in. He took time to explain the rules and amenities of Savanah hotel & Suites. He is a great asset to this company. True Professional. -Don B.
Very Friendly folks at Savannah Suites. Donna did a wonderful job and has a great personality. Thanks so much for putting me at ease with your excellent massage technique!
Everything was wonderful!!!!
Wonderful – Everything was wonderful!!!!
I was plesently surprised! The front desk was efficient and friendly, my room was very clean and there was a nice little kitchen. When I returned I brewed my coffee, began to work on my computer, speed was very good. I was only in town for the one night but I can see that this would be a great place if you were there on business for a while.

This appears to be a hotel that was taken over. The place seems to have been remodeled recently and was clean and comfortable. I stay there again as long as they keep the price low.\r

Expedia booked my room, the Hotel was already full, and Expedia was suppose to call me and let me know that I did not have a room and I showed up anyway. I never got a call, email, or voice massge from Expedia as they claimed to Hotel staff...
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was courteous; however, there is no one working at the desk at night, which was an inconvenience because we were unable to get the vending machine to take ones and we had no change.
Just needed a bed to rest but was to scare to put the cover over my head because of the smelled. My daughter also stated that under the sheet smelled like urine. It was like 2am when we finally hit the bed. So I was too tired to asked for a different room.
The rooms were clean but it looked like an old office building that they made into a hotel. The price was good though. There was a full-sized refrigerator and a sink and a small stove. It was cozy but not alot of room. The bed was the smallest queen bed I have ever seen and it was not a plush mattress but it was a bed...3 out of five stars it was average nothing special.
IT may not have a lot of amenties but for the price and you get a fridge and a stove. The only compliant I would have is that the hotel needs to provide a set of pots and pans for you to use.
