I was in Chesapeake for a conference and had a really nice time in the hotel. The room was more than adequate for me and my roommate to share. Breakfast was appetizing, albeit a bit crowded at times. Have stayed here before and was always satisfied. This time I felt the rooms are starting to get worn. Shower had cracked tiles and needed a better cleaning. Sheet had stain on it. We have stayed at the Chesapeake Hyatt at least once a year since it opened. The staff goes over and beyond when there is even a small issue. The breakfast is better than most hotels, and it is kept stocked and the area is kept clean. I do wish that they had a laundry room, though.

The staff was very helpful and explained about the breakfast and the hours of it, which are good hours too. The rooms are clean and large. They have computers in the lobby in case you need to log on. There is a nice patio area, where you can relax after a long drive.
We were here overnight dropping our son off at college. Got in late. Air conditioning not working well...mattress was horrible..woke up with a hurting back. Told the manager in the morning, he apologized but didn't offer any explanation or offer to make any amends. Have stayed at other Hyatts but this was the worst for getting a good night's sleep...

This was a very nice property in a quiet location. Staff is very friendly and helpful and seems to want to go out of their way to help out each guest. Rooms were spacious and clean and vending machines had a wide variety of items to chose from. I will definitely try to stay at this location every time i visit Chesapeake!!

The hotel is located near all kinds of shops and the Green brier mall. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants if you desired. we had one King size room and one with two queen beds for our family. Enjoyable stay. Staff friendly, clean rooms, great continental breakfast. Central to Va. Beach area and Kitty Hawk N.C. We have family in both areas so this was great place to stay. We have stayed here 3 times before so we expected the good service. Also fairly close to Norfolk Airport so not hard to get to.

Although our room appeared to be clean,there was an odd, unpleasant odor throughout. We got in late and were too tired to complain, but under other circumstances I would have asked for a room change.Also, the halls were a bit untidy. We passed an empty cigarette pack on our way to the room. We probably would not choose to stay here again.

The staff was extremely nice. The hotel was clean and I enjoyed having a sofa to sit on while watching a movie. I've stayed at other hotels in Chesapeake and must say the breakfast at the Hyatt leaves much to be desired. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Beautiful room with a beautiful plasma TV. Nice furnishings that are well maintained. Disappointed in the soundproofing room to room and floor to floor. Hallway noise not an issue - just through the walls and the ceiling if you are not on the top floor.

Was looking for a quiet getaway with my husband. The location was very nice. It was a short drive from the mall and several dining options. The check in staff was very friendly and the process was very quick. The only thing I didn't like was you had to go down to the lobby to order room service via computer. I will however stay again.
