Welcome to Honey Butter's Kitchen! Jason and Heidi Steeg bring great American cuisine to a thoroughly down home atmosphere, right here in Williamsburg, VA. They founded Five Forks Cafe, which quickly became a hit with locals who knew great food. Now Jason brings his A-Game to Honey Butter's Kitchen. We offer weekly specials, senior discounts and more. Check out Honey Butter's Kitchen for good,...
If you believe all breakfast are made the same, try HBK and you'll fall back to liking breakfast. Breakfast and lunch is interesting in HBK so every time we are in Virginia, I will not skip a beat...
Mmmmm my sister and I went here for brunch on a weekend that she did a loooong training run and wanted to splurge (I did not run but helped her splurge... I know, I'm SUCH a good sister! haha)....
Not the average spot I would eat at, but if you are closing in to Bush Garden Williamsburg and looking for a quiet family spot this is it. Food was tasteful and healthy - I picked up the BBQ...
I have been to Honey Butters 3x and I keep forgetting to write a review... I am probably too full and sleepy at the time to write it! This place is a gem! I have taken others with me and we all...
Oh mama...anyplace I can get shrimp and grits for breakfast is the place for me. This place does them amazing! And for such a cheap price, you get a lot of shrimp on top of cheesy grits. They...
Loved breakfast there. The eggs were done well but the BEST were the corn pancakes! The wait staff did a fine job!
I have only been for breakfast/brunch, but it is delicious!! Get the corn cakes with honey butter (unique and awesome) and the fried garlic potatoes (they...
A very good local place for breakfast. Family friendly, with a nice selection of choices and a courteous staff. If you want to stay away from the chains and hotels for a filling breakfast, try this place. You will not be disappointed.
This is a duplicate restaurants submission and the other review has many reviews and should be maintained this one should be removed or added to the other.
Dinner. Had the fried catfish Friday night. It was the worst I have ever had
Delicious, home-cooked food with a country flair. Busy, local following. Good variety of food. Friendly staff.
This place was awesome. I went on a Sunday morning before going to the theme park. I wanted to go back the next day, but they are closed on Mondays. My...
Think dinner and you get what you expect. We went around Sunday Brunch time - they were busy, so we sat at the full service bar and just ordered food....
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!. This place is a wonderful start to the day
A good egg and sausage restaurant. The service was good but a little overpriced.
This restaurant was such a surprise. We were looking for a nontourist type place. This was quite a surprise. Quick seating, and the services was definitely close to the best we have gotten. Cassie was wonderful! She was on top of everything. She was personable and knowledgeable. We went for the breakfast and practically ordered everything. By far the French...
Had lunch. It was like cafeteria food. It might be better for dinner. We won't be back.
Had corned beef Reubens, very good breadenjoyed the garlic potatoes the corn beef was very hot burned the roof of my mouth fault of the restaurantthe restaurant was decorated with some old kitchen appliances overall very nice lunch pricing with little highservice
Overall it was a good breakfast. We were seated right away and our waitress was very nice. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in the door. I love down home cooking and I am glad I was able to eat at Honey Butters this morning. The Shrimp and Grits were very good. The scrambled eggs were...
We were disappointed in everything we ordered. How can you ruin meatloaf?? Well, try burned on the bottom and mucked-about- with tomato sauce on top. Service was shoddy. Maybe this was just a bad night, but with so many good choices in this area, we will not return.
It may not be fair the criticise in this situation but the day we ate at Honeybutter's Kitchen, the restaurant was very busy, with people waiting at the door. Nobody was at the door taking names when we came in. About ten minutes later, the waitress who eventually waited on us finally asked if anyone was there who hadn't signed...
Had lunch. Good selection and offered breadfast until 3pm. I had the special of the day and it was very good. Price was ok about average for this area.
Service and food was excellent. Great recommendations from wait staff on breakfast items. Prices were very reasonable.
After a frustrating ride from New Jersey, by which we spent a great deal of time sitting on America's longest parking lot AKA I95, we found Honeybutters' Kitchen through tripadvisor.
What a surprising treat! The southern style menu was amazing. We sampled several things on the menu and everything was delicious. My son had the shrimp and grits and ate...
I am from South Carolina and I miss southern cooking, now that I live up north. Honey Butters Kitchen gave me some real down home cooking at an awesome price.
We loved this restaurant and while visiting Williamsburg we ate there two times for breakfast. The value is incredible, the food creative and delicious and the service warm and attentive. We would highly recommend Honey Butter's Kitchen
Eat where the locals go in Williamsburg. Great specials and service. The food is unpretentious and not ironic, just plain good.
Visited for dinner and tried the stews. My wife had the pot roast stew and she said it was delicious. I had the shrimp, sausage and chicken stew and it was wonderful. Next time I think the Turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes will be my choice. It's a local place without a lot of atmosphere but the food is great....
Enjoyed lunch here. Black bean soup was delicious as was the sandwich. They have a great menu of entrees that come with 2 sides. I would have ordered one if the side list had included a leafy green vegetable. (the dinner menu has 1). Service was excellent except coffee refills were slow.
This place has standard fare-salads and burgers as well as great biscuits and gravy, fried chicken and catfish at reasonable prices
This a local restaurant and we are local people so we really wanted to like this place. Several months ago, our family ate there and I literally got sick from my meal. I ordered a cheeseburger and it smelled like three day-old seafood and tasted worse. Our server never came to check on us so I was left with a...
Had a friend visiting and she asked for "good ol' country food". Didn't want fancy. Just wanted food that tasted good in a relaxed place. I immediately thought of HoneyButter's and she loved it. Service is good. The place is nothing fancy, but nice and relaxed. She had the lunch special of chicken salad and bean soup, I had fried...
Ate here on a Sunday morning and had the vegetable omelet. It was done to perfection and presented beautifully All the food we ordered was hot and to specifications. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was reasonable priced. My friend and I were able to sit and visit for a while without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend...
Bad attitude because salad was wilted and they are over-priced.
They offer $5 mimosas with breakfast. :) The food was abundant, none of us could finish up our food there was just so much, and it was sooooooooooo yummy too!!!
Owned by the same folks as Five Forks Cafe, I have eaten here three times, twice for lunch and once for dinner.
All three times I have received very large portions. The dinner was pulled BBQ with sides of fries (well seasoned), a vegetable, and macaroni and cheese. Huge portions. We also got an appetizer of hushpuppies- very good with...
They flavors were great, sitting outside at the table watching the traffic and enjoying the plaza was a great treat for girls day out
Food was a bit too greasy, but in general ok for breakfast.
This is a great little place and I am thankful that there is another place to eat a good breakfast besides Five Forks Cafe. I believe it is owned by the same people and that is good, because you get the same quality food as at Five Forks...without the same line. It is a newer location and more accessible as...
Went at about 11 AM. Situated in a shopping center so plenty of free parking. Very short wait. Not a large place but tables move fast, could have sat at bar to eat but passed on that. Had the two specials, a shrimp and grits with eggs and a plate of quesadilla with homefries. Had the biscuits- famous for the...
I love the breakfast all day menu. They also have sausage to die for.
HoneyButters is one of our local "go to" places. They are good at the comfort food and great at breakfast. Sunday morning french toast, biscuits and gravy are great. I had a piece of quiche - not my norm - this past week and it was great! Everything we try is wonderful and we are glad to see them succeeding...
If you've been to Five Forks Diner and liked it, you'll like HoneyButter's too. We went on a recent Saturday morning for breakfast. The Five Forks folks have opened HoneyButter's in a space that has been home to several other restaurants over the last few years. I hope HoneyButter's Kitchen sticks around for a while!
The coffee was hot and...
