This was the cleanest of all Holiday Inns that we have stayed at. The staff was friendly and more than accommodating. The rooms were clean, everything worked! The bar and grill was yummy also. This is absolutely the best Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in.The staff was the best and the rooms were clean and roomy! The only thing wrong was they dont serve a free continental breakfast and the breakfast we had to purchase in the Hotel was EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!

It's a great location, has everything you need under one roof. The staff was pleasant, the food was good, room and hotel very clean and well maintained. The kids had a good time with the choice of beach swimming or the indoor pool when it was too cold for the beach. It's right on the main route, so easy in and out, lots of shopping places, restaurants, bars. We had a really good time.
I wanted to view the sunrise over the ocean and this location was perfect for that. Many shops and places to grab a bite are within walking distance. That is valuable since lack of parking was a negative. I understand that space is limited along the ocean front but parking in a lot away from the hotel was a little unsettling.

Generally we enjoyed our stay, the Staff was friendly and the location was great, the food was very good for breakfast and lunch. With so many options for dinner , we did not explore the dinner menu. The room air conditioner was terrific, bathrooms, very clean. The down side, limited parking in the hotel lot,the room had a musky odor which did not improve during our stay.
We liked the view of the beach from the balcony and enjoyed the fireworks from the hotel too.

This hotel straddles the border of Norfolk and Va Beach and inside are palm trees which are tall and beautiful. There is a large enclosed greenhouse set up. The meeting rooms are nice and they have a nice restuarant.
We had a great time during our stay. We enjoyed the beach and the Rudee Flipper. We have visited VA Beach two years ago, but we did not stay in an ocean front hotel. So this time we were able to enjoy the ocean view much more.
I paid over $200 a night and they do not even have a microwave in the room and I called down to the desk to see why we did not have one and they said that the only rooms that have microwaves is the ones with the king size beds but we could get one for $10 more a night I think $200 a night is enough and then we could not even make a local phone call without being charged for it so I ended up...
My overall experience at the Hotel was good. I arrived early and was able to check in a little early which was helpful after a long drive. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. I was not thrilled with the resturant. The food seemed to be boxed frozen foods.
