I use this hotel when I fly out of Richmond. The staff is cheerful and caters to the needs of travelers.
The key to the room would only work once. So I had a handful of electronic keys to keep track of which ones I'd used. None of the keys would get me into the pool or the room for ice, so i had to go to the bar for Ice. Thus it was difficult to avail myself of the services available due to the inconvenience. Got in late and remote for TV had dead batteries, had to go to front desk to get new ones, then vending machine on our floor didn't work so had to go to front desk again to get bottles of water. Stayed here for a quick overnight for an early departure from the Richmond airport. Check-in was without complications. Two queen-bed room was spacious for the three of us and bathroom was plenty big for one person with ample room on the vanity. Our room came with a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. My husband has asthma and in the past have had to leave other hotels because of the smell of the chemicals used to clean the rooms. Room service was quick and extremely polite. This is a great hotel to stay in if you want to be near the airport. There's a new shopping center nearby with a Target. The room was clean and comfortable. My kids wanted to go swimming, and the pool was great. It was decent-sized and I was able to swim short laps. There was also plenty of parking in the back of the hotel. We had another nice visit for the stock car race. The hotel kept the restaurant open for fans and everything was clean as always. While my son and I were at the race, the hotel call the room and checked on my wife to ensure she was comfortable. The pool and fitness area were clean and nice.

I stayed overnight recently for a meeting at the hotel. The king-bed room was clean, well decorated and comfortable. Updated bathroom. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Friendly waitress at breakfast. I can't express my pleasure enough for my stay at the Holiday Inn Richmond Airport. Great location, great room, wonderful shower, they even have a restaurant. STaff was excellent on all occasions and as close as I was to the airport I thought noise would be an issue. The rooms are whisper quiet with the occasional muffled jet take-off. Stay here if it suits your needs.
For a Holiday Inn, this is really nice. The hotel is new and modern. There is a nice bar downstairs and a friendly staff manning it. The only issue was that the first room they put us in had a weird odor, they changed us promptly into a new room and we had no more problems.
