Help us make it rightStayed at the Hampton Inn in late March during my family's stay in Williamsburg. I really enjoyed this hotel in many ways. The suite was able to accommodate my family of five with no problem. The room was clean, and we comfortable during our stay. They have a nice coffee area downstairs that is adequately stocked for your enjoyment. The...
Our family stayed here over Easter weekend and have no complaints. The whole place was extremely clean. Beds were comfortable, pillows ranged from very soft to firm so you could take your pick. The indoor pool was nothing special (esp. the towels!) but adequate enough for the under-12 set. Breakfast was good and the service kept up pretty well with...
So we stayed at this Hampton back in Dec 2015, with some issues. I will say they did comp us a night due to having no heat and it was freezing outside..so we figured we would try it again...well that was a mistake. The room itself was not horrible but the duvet on one bed had some noticeable staining and...
The Hotel was clean, the parking plentiful and our room was very nice! We were looking forward to our three night stay in Williamsburg. We checked in in and then drove to Colonial Williamsburg which was very close. Upon our return we decided to go for a swim, however, there were a lot of children which is not a problem,...
great value for the money, esp. for a one night stay
highly recommend was quiet, clean, friendly staff great location to Colonial Williamsburg and william and mary. Had a very good breakfast. great staff
Very friendly staff. Very clean. Plenty of parking. The breakfast area was small with not much seating but other than that the hotel was worth the money. Would stay there again. Perfect location for driving to all of the historical sites!!
Close to colonial Williamsburg; clean; friendly staff; check in was easy, breakfast was good; we have stayed at many hamptons they never disappoint; they also offer a ,I litany leisure rate; indoor pool area extremely clean
The staff were excellent....very accommodating and helpful....great pool and hot tub....rooms were very clean and the beds are amazing!! Only one small complaint.....the room did not have a small refrigerator or microwave....this would have made the whole experience perfect, but overall a great experience!!
Very nice convenient hotel. The room was extremely nice and clean. The only small negative was the breakfast but only 1 in 5 Hamptons ever have a good "hot" breakfast. This would never keep me from staying here again.
Stayed here for one night while visiting the area. Check-in was very efficient, the hotel was clean and my room was well maintained... I didn't understand the room coffee appliances being in the bathroom, but other than that, I loved my stay...
The staff was great! I left my jacket in the room and realized it at train station with my train leaving in 15 minutes to Boston. One of the ladies at the front desk ran it over to me so I had for a very snowy, cold Boston! Breakfast was good and room big and very clean!!
The rooms are very nice here, but the pillows and matresses are rather hard. Also, the breakfast situation was an absolute scrum, so we ended up having to eat elsewhere both mornings. The facility is nice overall, and the staff was friendly otherwise.
We enjoyed our stay at the HAmpton Inn & Suites. The hotel is close to a lot of attractions in Williamsburg. We would consider staying at this hotel again why we visit Williamsburg. My only complaint is that I wish the doors did not slam when they closed.
Very close to Colonial Williamsburg, the entire Inn was very clean, nice breakfast selection. We would stay here again instead on the Williamsburg Lodge. The room was large, clean and nicely decorated and quiet.
The convenience of this hotel couldn't be better. Less than 5 minutes drive to Colonial Williamsburg Visitor's Center. Less than 3 minute drive to Denny's, Cracker Barrel, and a couple of other chain restaurants and a 7Eleven. Right off Highway 64 about 40 minutes drive from Richmond Airport. Clean and comfortable. Complimentary hot breakfast including eggs, meat, oatmeal, cereal, waffles....
On the night we arrived, the desk staff (I believe their names were Michelle and Haji) saw we were with children and mistakenly booked into a smoking room and immediately began working to change our room. The desk staff were able to secure a handicap accessible non smoking room with a trundle bed for the duration of our stay. Our...
While staying at this hotel is not exciting, everything is done well, the staff is personable, and the beds are of so comfortable. We didn't partake of the breakfast this time, but things seemed pretty smooth with a full house.
We have stayed here before and had a good experience. We had the same experience this time. Good value for your money. Breakfast included was very go od.
They have an indoor pool right off the elevators.
Away from the crowds, but close enough to everything. Our family of four has stayed in a suite for several nights straight without feeling cramped. A variety of foods is available for complimentary breakfast, and there are plenty of spots nearby for lunch and dinner.
I stayed two nights at this hotel to attend a conference nearby. After arriving late, I was greeted warmly by the friendly male evening attendant. He checked me in and informed me of my parties whereabouts for the evening. The room I received was extremely spacious, clean, and not dated at all. I really enjoyed the ample work space so...
We were place in a smoking room which we did not ask for. The room was smelly and had old carpet with stains over the furniture. Had to go buy Febreze to cover the odor. Staff made no attempts to help us with another room or cancel our reservation so we could go somewhere else. On the one bright side,...
We had a great room with king bed and sofa bed. Loved the layout with the kitchenette almost away from the large room. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good--usual Hampton Inn food. The hotel is well kept and two minutes away from CW. I would return in a heartbeat.
This hotel is at a great location and has quick access to Colonial Williamsburg and the shops, ect.I had a great experience. They have a Great Staff! Chech into using the Hilton Honors program. It has made our traveling more worry free.
I stay with this hotel brand al the time. They are one of my favorites. One thing I look forward to is the comfort of the nice plush beds. So I will give you the bad first... Bad: The bed at this hotel was awful. Its was hard and had box springs that poked through in certain spots. Not at...
Our room had a king sized bed and the room was quite large with a large sitting area and wet bar with refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was really quiet. The location to Colonial Williamsburg was excellent. You are less than 1.5 miles from the visitors center and from there you are a short walk to the...
This is the second time I have stayed at this particular hotel in Williamsburg. I have had a wonderful experience both times. It is clean, convenient, and the staff is always very pleasant. I will stay at this hotel every time I visit Williamsburg.
We enjoyed staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites while we visited Williamsburg. The only downside is the breakfast is kind of carb loaded. Clean, spacious and friendly staff!! Will definitely stay there again.
Great value during the week (off season). Clean, quiet room; comfortable beds; standard Hampton Inn breakfast (not gourmet, but plenty of selections. Even this gluten free traveler easily found a sound breakfast).
This hotel is minutes from the visitors center and historic area. It is an older property which appears to be getting refreshed. The front desk staff were super helpful and welcoming. There were delicious, warm cookies in the evening. Our room was basic, but lacked a refrigerator and microwave. No coffee maker either. The beds were just ok and the...
It was an excellent experience. The only thing that might upset a visit is the open coffee in the lobby which is a lot of times cold. It doesn't really affect me because I can heat it up with the mico-wave in my room.
Picked this hotel because of the price for New Year's weekend because of the value. We received EXCELLENT rates!!! Great location! Great hotel and staff! Very clean! Walls are a little thin, but other than that, we were well pleased with our stay. We will stay here again on a future trip.
We recently stayed here during our visit to Williamsburg. The hotel is very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg requiring just a short, easy drive. From first contact with the reception staff through our 2 night stay, we always felt welcomed and comfortable. The staff is amazing. Our room was large, spotless, quiet and comfortable with a separate seating area, large vanity...
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room, though clean, lacked a few items that we wished were there. There was no mini fridge or bath tub - just a shower. There was ample room for the fridge and microwave as found in most every hotel now-a-days. When we asked if any of the rooms had a fridge and...
We stayed in a king studio room #401 for three nights over New Years. The room was large and clean with a view of the woods in the back. Nice and quiet. Shower and toilet were in a separate room from the sink area. It would have been nice to have another towel bar in the bathroom. The heating unit...
The Hampton Inn on Bypass Road in Williamsburg, VA was a good place to stay. Roomy accommodations, good location, fair value, clean facilities, and friendly staff. It was recommended to us by my wife's parents, and we are glad they did. We will definitely stay there during future visits to Williamsburg.
The hotel is ok, the rooms clean, staff pleasant and attend to requests quickly, however I expected more. There are no mini fridges nor microwaves as you expect to find at most Hampton Inn's and the walls were thin. On the plus side, the staff was very attentive as they handled a maintenance request quickly.
I was told, at check-in, that I would be billed $10.00 dollars to cover any "incidentals" during my stay and that if none happened then the charge would "disappear". I did not incur any "incidental" charges and the $10.00 did not "disappear". Telephone contact after I returned home has not resolve the problem, yet.
Very nice staff. Clean rooms and friendly vibe overall. Nice xmas lighting. The air conditioning unit in the room was pretty loud, but that's probably standard for these inns. Trip advisor wants me to say more so I'm just writing now. For example, 'twas brillig and the slithy toves...
My wife and I always choose a Hampton Inn when we travel. They are always nice and friendly. Rooms are clean and good size. I recommend stay at a Hampton Inn. If staying in Williams burg Virginia. Please try this hotel next to the Historic Park.
The people working behind the front desk were all very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our time at this hotel in Williamsburg. The rooms were really clean and comfortable as well. I recommend getting the suite. The only downside is the loud AC/Heater which is typical of most hotels who use those AC/Heaters by the window.
We enjoyed the...
We recently stayed at this Hampton in for one night before we moved to a hotel on property at Colonial Williamsburg. As the title says, this hotel is no more than 5 minutes from both the CW visitor's center and Merchant Square, and also very close to restaurants and stores. As previous reviews state, the hotel is in like new...
We stayed at this hotel for several days while exploring Colonial Williamsburg and the Greater region around Williamsburg. It is located about 1 1/2 miles from both the Visitor Center parking lot and downtown Williamsburg (where you can then park and easily walk into the colonial area), and about the same distance from Colonial Parkway, which joins Jamestown, Williamsburg, and...
The rooms, common areas, and breakfast offerings were standard for a Hampton Inn, and there was an indoors pool for exercise and relaxing - a plus for us. The ease of access to the Williamsburg visitors center and sights of colonial Williamsburg was excellent. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in providing advice on the best options for us...
Overall the property is well kept and clean. Nice lobby and breakfast area. The room was quiet. The bedding was very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower.
Quite a few minor issues: The indoor pool was dirty. Lots of hair on the top of the water. Tons of sand in the bottom of the pool. There were broken pieces...
Our room was great and very affordable. They have two pools indoor and outdoor so it does not get crowded even if there are alot of people at the pool. Located right near the visitors center to Colonial Williamsburg and only a few miles from Busch Gardens. Right around the corner from many restaurants. Great Stay will stay here again...
For those of you have read my reviews in the past, you know I’m no nonsense and if I write it - you can take it to the bank as truth. This Hampton Inn & Suites in Williamsburg (Central) was exceptional. I was greeted by Sean the night-desk check-in representative. He was professional and competent: though I got the impression...
Arrived late with two very tired children. The young man who checked us in did so quickly and was very considerate to my boys. The room was very clean including the bathroom. I will surly recommend this hotel to friends who visit the area. Thank you for your hospitality and I am sure we will return!
We were to meet up with our daughter and her husband from Amsterdam. She was in Washington on business and then on the way to Virginia Beach. We thought Williamsburg was a good in between spot to meet. Our hotel room was spotless and had a fresh and lovely smell upon entering the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and...
This was a very clean, large room, and the hotel was very close to Colonial Williamsburg. We wish the "kitchen" area had been larger and better equipped. The off-season rate was very affordable. We will stay at the Hampton on Richmond Rd. next trip as it had a full kitchen.
I loved my stay in your quiet rooms with fluffy pillows, courteous staff, complimentary delicious breakfast, full hot shower, and full control of the remote (ie - no husband with me this trip) What more can a woman want? The life of luxury!
I'd start with how friendly and courteous all of the staff was to us. The hotel was clean and comfortable and having an option for the limited items breakfast made the stay very economical. The free and just in front close by parking was also a nice perk. We plan to return to Williamsburg and will most likely stay at this Hampton Inn because it's located very close to the Visitor's Center.If...
Enjoyed everything but the air quality of the room. The air conditioner made all five of us stuffy.
I like the hotel. kids enjoy the outdoor and indoor pool, they were open until late. I love that
Our stay was great, the staff at the Hampton were very friendly and helpful.
nice room needed microwave and fridge bring a cooler
Close to down town but rooms lacked microwave and refrigerator. I've stayed in lots of Hampton Inns and have never seen this. The staff was friendly enough they even moved our room away from the elevator at request. Room had a broken stopper in tub but we were able to get it to work.
We had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome.
Average hotel for the price being charge, there are other hotels in the area that have more to offer for less!!!
Hotel was a good value for the price range. Issues with water temperature - very difficult to get anything that wasn't scolding hot water in the shower.
Very pleasant and quiet. I enjoyed the breakfast. Room was very comfortable.
The room was not ready when we got there. Staff was nice enough but the seemed a little frazzled.
Clean hotel after being on Pirate Ship in Yorktown.
We stayed in a king studio which was really nice. Plenty of room for whole family.
Very neat hotel, near everything. Good breakfast. Comfortable rooms and beds with crisp linen every night.
Great stay for family of three children. Staff were very friendly and room clean. There does need s to be some repairs to ceiling over shower. But that was minor. We would definitely stay again!!!
nice clean hotel. Our room was very quiet, 4th floor view out the back overlooking a meadow, trees and a pond. Family of geese at the pond. We were there to visit Williamsburg. Very close by.
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Nothing bad to say about my experience.
Good clean and close to everything. Good friendly staff and willing to help.
We liked the hotel, the only issue is that for breakfast, they don't offer any gluten free products. My father in law couldn't have anything beside coffee.
This is our second visit. Room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Kids love the indoor pool. The breakfast is well appointed. Cheese omelettes, sausage, cold cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, baked goods, waffles, coffee, juices, etc. Even my picky eaters found something they liked to eat. Check in and out went without a hitch. Not far from Colonial Williamsburg or Busch Gardens and Water...
My wife and I had a pleasant stay. Check in may have been the quickest and easiest I have ever had. The room (King Bed Studio) was clean with ample room. I found the hotel staff, including the maids, to be very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast buffet was standard hotel fare but the breakfast area was ample size and was well maintained while it was open. All in all, it was a great stay.
This was our second stay in 6 months. Rooms are clean and huge for our large family. Breakfast is excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub area is clean. Very close to Colonial Williamsburg, several resturants and shopping. Highly recommend. Will stay every time we visit the Williamsburg area.
We stopped in Williamsburg to visit with friends. They are an older couple so we wanted them to be able to find our hotel easily. They had to ride right by it coming into town. There were restaurants close by so that was important too. The hotel itself had everything that we needed and was very fresh, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of...
Stay was wonderful. No negatives to speak of. We had a king suite. Plenty of room and very quiet. Breakfast was great.
This hotel is in the perfect location for first time Williamsburg guests like myself. My husband and I enjoyed the ten minute drive to Busch Gardens, 5 minutes to Colonial Williamsburg, 10 minutes to the premium outlets, and the many many other stops in between. It seemed like everything was within reach. The hotel is located on a raod that is very easy to access and there are many signs...
Only complaint was a party occurring right outside our window after 9pm. Having a toddler trying to sleep with the noise was not optimal, but otherwise, great clean room, fun pool, nice breakfast...great stay!
Friendly staff. Very helpful
very clean modern hotel. Nice room, great breakfast
We had an excellent experience and are very happy to have chosen this Hampton Inn. At check-in they receive the kids with chocolate chip cookies and the front person is fast and courteous. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Their breakfast offers variety every day and surprisingly, the coffee is very good. The location is great having Colonial Williamsburg, the Premium Outlet, Jamestowne and...
Would have been nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Pool and hot tub had a lot of sand on the bottom.
The staff was always very friendly and helpful and the hotel was always very clean. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Weekender visit for Easter with our William & Mary student Very close by. Ate at our favorite restrauants, also close by. Had an accessable room. Plenty of space for a wheelchair and for hanging out. Bathroom set up excellent: bars galore, special shower head but NO BATH SEAT. May have been in closet. Not needed by us but can be a life saver. Housekeeping very attentive and pleasant. Lobby...
Decent complimentary breakfast. Noisy heater/AC. Good location.
We are looking for a hotel in our price range and this one is the best of its class. We are please with it. Thanks
Just the best experience overall including easy access to area attractions as well as a wide variety of restaurants near by. Hampton Inns remain at the top of my list! This one was exceptional to say the least.
Close to Plimoth Village and the best restaurants and shopping in the area. Hotel fantastic. Kids loved the indoor pool
Stayed 3 nights. Room was great, staff very friendly, and breakfast was decent. Great family value.
Anything you need is within a block. Short drive to Plimoth Village. Hotel had great indoor pool with wonderful breakfasts. Nice and large rooms
Very clean and a nice place to stay! Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
Very nice clean hotel. We stay here when we come to Williamsburg for a short stay.
Great location ,clean , pleasant staff excellent breakfast buffet, wi fi Mattress was a bit soft I prefer firm poor placement of the Bathroom light switch behind door ( inconvenient in the dark ) well appointed room for working . I would stay there again Frank
Hotel was very clean and breakfast was good. Check in was quick and the hotel was located in a good area and close to all attractions. We will stay there again when in the area.
My family and I had a good time. The staff there were so polite and friendly. The continental breakfast they have are excellent.
Good location and nice staff.
spacious rooms. didn't spend much time as we checked in late, however breakfast was nice and we got adjoining rooms as we had requested.
Very clean and comfy and very nice staff. Tons of restaurants around.
It was great!
Would come her again and again. Was very close to all the action and had a great pool
Huge room, good tv, good breakfast and more than adequate fitness room.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay
Had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn! I like to stay at them as they are very consistent with their quality and service. We weren't disappointed.
This hotel exceeded expectations. It was a weekend night, we checked in well after dark. I expected we might get a "left over" room - you know, one of those rooms where you think "gee I probably wouldve gotten a nicer room if I had gotten here earlier" or "gee, I might have gotten a better room if I hadn't gotten it at such a nicely discounted price through Hotels.com." But the room was great -...
Was created and assigned room by friendly staff who continued to ask after our needs as we stayed. We would recommend this for any short stay since it meets all the needs a family may need
We typically stay at a different hotel in the area, but it was being remodeled so we stayed here because it was at a reduced rate. We were very impressed with the hotel and plan to stay there again next time we are in town. It was very clean and the beds were a notch above what you typically get. The only negative was that the thermostat in the room seemed to be a little flaky but nothing that...
This is a newer hotel and looks great.Pool is good size and the outside pool is still open as of 10/20/14.Breakfast was obviously pre-made Sysco type breakfast...so pretty bland but works.
This is a great hotel. Staff is very friendly, great dinner recommendations. A joy to stay here again
Great location near Colonial Williamsburg. Most comfortable bed I've ever had in any hotel! The complimentary breakfast was really good with several protein options and homemade oatmeal rather than the instant kind in the packet. This was important since I can't eat many carbs and nothing with flour in it. The staff was friendly, smiling, and helpful. My one complaint is that the hot tub was...
This hotel is in a great location and provides for the basics for its price range.
We booked a suite and thought that we were going to have a nice room. While the room was spacious it wasn't clean. There were stains on the furniture and curtains. The bed did however seem clean. I wouldn't stay again.
Great hotel. Clean rooms. Very comfortable beds. Quiet. Friendly staff. Complementary breakfast was excellent. Just a short drive to Historic Williamsburg. I can't think of one negative unless I complain about the heat outside.
excellent staff, great breakfast, overall great value
Friendly staff and clean rooms. Large spacious shower stall and very comfortable bed. The room was very clean. The complimentary hot breakfast was a nice perk too.
This was a nice hotel. I was impressed with the room I was in as it was clean and comfortable. The carpet in both the room and hallways is a bit sketchy, but I'm sure it gets lots of traffic. Bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was pretty much normal frozen stuff, but there was enough for everyone there.Overall-good experience.
Very nice accommodations. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was great.
The king suite was incredibly spacious, the bed very comfortable and the room and bath were very clean. The breakfast was tasty and convenient. The staff could not have been friendlier - everyone smiled and said hello from the hotel desk staff to the cleaning service. An experience I would have expected to pay more for, but enjoyed it all the more because it was so reasonable.
Great hotel..friendly staff, very close to all attractions
We spent a few days in Williamsburg seeing Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg and shopping. The Hampton Inn was a great place to stay. It was centrally located. The staff were VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. The hotel is super clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The beds were so comfy also! Complimentary breakfast was always fresh and has alot to choose from. And the breakfast...
The staff at this hotel were GREAT! Everyone (the ladies helping at breakfast to the maid riding in the elevator with us) was friendly and actually said "Good Morning." The breakfast was more than enough each morning. We loved the indoor, as well as the outdoor pools. We plan on staying here on our next visit.
We are very pleased with the hotel. The room and bathroom are very spacious and clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. We are definitely going to stay at Hampton Inn again.
The location is incredibly convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and easy interstate-64 access. Clean & inviting. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful; the hotel was full of families and never a wait at the front desk. The cold bar breakfast was good - the staff was great about restocking it on a very busy day. Only complaint -- the elevators are slow and never a luggage cart...
Visit to area college with HS junior. The hotel was close in to town, and was very accessible with good signage. The road right around here is full of hotels, but getting here is still pleasant because you are along a nice wooded small highway all the way until you get to the hotel area. This hotel seemed brand new as far as facilities - very clean and in perfect shape. Like the room and...
We needed to arrange a place to stay on short notice. The [...]site offered many plaes in the Williamsburg,VA area. We picked the Hampton Inn on By Pass Rd. and was the easiest check in we've ever experienced. They even upgraded us to a better room. We will be sure to use [...]for future travel planing.
for the prize and the service it was a great choice. Breakfasts were very nice and more complete than what it is in other hotels.
It was wonderful with the services, the room was perfectly made for this night and will recommended to any person whom want to visit the Historical area of Williamsburg, VirginiaMy little girl said it was amazing place to back in vacation. The best with reasonable prices.MCL
Soccer Showcase TournamentDinnerWould have like a small refrigerator:)
The service was great when we first walked in the door and was greeted. The room was larger than we thought and the room service was good. We would continue to stay at this hotel every visit.
I found the hotel very clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I go to Williamsburg often and will stay here again.
The hotel was very clean and the few staff that we interacted with were very nice. The location was great to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Water Country. Everything was within a 10-15 minute drive.
We did quite a bit of shopping while there.
the weather was great,we went to williamsberg, james town and york town, this was our 4th trip and we love it.we rented a car right at the train station.
We loved the hotel. We traveled to Jamestown and Historic Williamsburg. The hotel was convienent to both. We began each day with a delicious and satisfying breakfast and ended most days with a swim in the pool. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel was chosen based on one of 2 families using their reward points for part of their stay. The hotel was centrally located to all major area attractions. The included breakfast was better than the one breakfast we had at a local restaurant. And if you didn't want to eat there you could take a bagged breakfast with you! I will wait until closer to the date of travel to book my rooms next...
Enjoyed the history.
The hotel puts guests in the heart of colonial-era America. Historically themed parks and old-world-style attractions provide an exciting spin on American history for kids and adults. Guests are invited to visit Colonial Williamsburg and step back in time more than 220 years to the eve of the American Revolution. Less than 15 minutes from the hotel, they can continue the time travelling...
