We went down for a concert, so didn't need to stay too close to the beach. However, even a hotel in this area was pretty pricey. We're fans of Hampton Inns, and this pretty much met our expectations. The water tastes terrible and the staff does not warm up to you for a few days. My wife and I had t make small talk and remember the staff names before they acted l i ke they cared if we were there or not.

At par with all other Hampton Inns- last minute stay for a family emergency so hard to rate as I wouldn't have been there otherwise. Not sure why we ended up with an accessible room, which was not a big deal, just no closet!
It was new years when i stayed n the party poopers next door kept having front desk to come to the room.. we were not loud we just did alot of laughing.each time she came to door she didnt even hear anything but laughing.we were happy to see a new year.but overall excellent stay.will book again.
My husband, son and myself had a very pleasant experience at the Hampton Inn. We have stayed at other Hampton Inns before and were not disappointed. Since we were there for 4 days, it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning.

Not the best Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at, but that's mostly because it's an older one, but by no means was there anything really wrong with the place, and it's still better than most of the hotels in the area. Pool was nice and the breakfast was good.
My experience was pleasant. I was traveling for work and the location worked out well. There are several things close by to do and restaurants to visit.
This hotel is convenient to shopping, dining and beaches. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.

For tourists like us, hotel location is inconvenient. We've been to many hotels and have never before had to eat breakfast from paper plates or plastic knives and forks. We found this unacceptable. We booked and paid via Expedia for an Aqua View room. This hotel has no such thing. Not impressed.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was kind of disgusting, but the coffee was always awaiting.. Nothing really all that specical and the king sized bed that we just had to have, was really lumpy and not very comfy at all. I would stay again, but not worth the upgrade to the king.
The hotel was conveniently located right off the highway about 15 minutes from the Norfolk, VA airport and about 25 minutes from Virginia Beach. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast is great.
Stayed only one night after a 9hr journey to drop off a car to a family member in need of it. After a long drive the accomodations were excellent.
