Good location if you're when you're in the area. Quiet and comfortable, but rooms could be a little larger. There's not very much around the hotel for quality eating or tourist attractions. This is the best hotel in the entire area however.

This is a clean and comfortable small hotel to stay in when visiting the Edenton area. The rooms are nice, the lobby welcoming, and the morning breakfast a plus. We typically stay in a local B& B but will return to this hotel instead in the future. Good value and close to the downtown area.
I loved my stay just wished I could have stayed longer. The staff was great and very helpful. And the breakfast was delicious!! The lovely town of Edenton offers great sights but not much in places to stay other than B&B's. The Hampton Inn is conveniently located off of Hwy 17 just outside of the historic downtown. There is a Wendy's right in front (walking distance) for those that arrive late and don't want to get back in the car.
The motel was on the edge of the town; however close enough that we could go in for dinner upon the recommendation of the desk clerk. Lovely town with a lot of historic significance as well as lovely architecture.
Quiet, clean and comfortable Jacuzzi suite! I love this hidden gem off 17. We pass through Edenton frequently and never stayed. I wanted a quiet getaway for my husband's birthday and we found it! Not sure that I would rave as much as other guests, but had a comfortable stay. Hallway was a little musty, but otherwise room was comfortable and quiet. I stayed at the Hampton Inn Edenton in September for 2 nights. My mother made arrangements for the room as I was traveling to visit From Europe. On arrival, there was a problem with the reservation (it was supposed to be pre-paid). However, I was not allowed to check into my room until my mother physically came into the hotel....

Edenton is a charming village on the "Inner Banks"; translation: west of the Outer Banks but separated from them by water. For us, this was the perfect place to stay: easy access to water, but much more reasonably priced and without the beach culture which--even in mid-October--makes the OBX busy. We could drive to Cape Hatteras and the Wright Brothers Memorial at Kitty Hawk without difficulty....
My sister and I stayed with our Mom at the Hampton during her cataract surgery. We live quite a distance away from the hospital and decided it best to stay close by. The accomidations were excellent. It was quiet, very clean and the staff were super nice and accomidating. I would definatley recommend the Hampton in Edenton.
It's a Hampton. Usually consistent. Usually clean & comfortable. This property has all that but also excells in their staff. Our group arrived over an hour early, not all at once but in very small bunches, all tired, all ready for showers. Our organizers said 3:00 & some arrived ss early as 1:30. So, rooms not all ready. No surprise....

Hampton Inn was clean, personable and a pleasant stay. Desk clerk answered all questions, including places to see and do, directions and eating establishments. Breakfast had a large variety of foods and a separate eating area in which to sit and watch television. Hotel was very nice and up to Hampton Inn standards. We stayed one night while visiting Edenton. The location is not downtown, but is probably only five minutes from the downtown waterfront. The normal AC below the window was controlled by a thermostat on an inside wall. That seemed to provide for more even and quieter cooling. Staff was pleasant....

A friendly, warm sincere welcome always makes it likely that you'll have an enjoyable stay. We certainly had this at the Hampton Inn. It was strange, though, that the female front desk staff were all friendly and chatty, whereas the one male was a miserable introvert who communicated his dislike of people.

I stayed here for three nights on business in July 2014. I've stayed at other Hamptons, too, and they are always consistent. A little expensive, but the rooms are nice, the bedding is changed daily, and there's a robust breakfast bar. I would stay here again.

This Hampton Inn has seen better days and I stayed here a few years ago. It definitely has not had the updating it needs. Staff is excellent wished they were working in a better facility. Although the reception area was good, it was the rooms that needed the updating, they even smelled a little dank and musty.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn 2/28 thru 3/6 and basically it was a nice stay except on 3/5 there was a bug clawing on the bed (Bed Bug?) I killed it. The next morning 3/6/ there was another one in the bathroom on a hand towel. I showed both of the bugs (the dead one and the live one) to the hotel room supervisor/inspector. The building is old. The water tastes horrible. I even bought a Brita filter bottle, and it still tastes terrible. We did not get all the ammenities such as the bed being made up and turn down servic., But, to us, this was a plus for the hotel. It was Thanksgiving Day and we were there to be with family. The housekeeping staff was given most of the day off and we were glad to see this for them.
