I've only been to this location twice now. Once eating in and once for takeout. I have been to the Stoney Run location numerous times and just the same as there, the food here is pretty good. We moved here from NYC so we have not found anything to compare. Gus's pizza is just ok the hot subs are not good at all not and are not worth even trying. They do have 9.99 large pizza on monday and tuesdays.
They have excellent subs and pizzas, prices are reasonable...sub specials include great portions of everything for the money!
I don't know whether Gus's stacks up to authentic NY pizza, but I do know that it is very good! There are many great pizza places on the peninsula, so to say that I would go back to this place is saying something!
Pizza was shoddy, hot wings were undercooked and my sub had brown lettuce on it. All we ask for is a little pride in your food. If you lack that you lack the opportunity to attain a positive review. One of the most pleasant places in the local area. The waitresses are always smiling and upbeat. The food is almost always perfect. The only complaints I have are the french fries are sometimes undercooked and they removed Veal from the menu a few years back, made me sad.
