terrible customer service / poor quality trees

I bought a (2" trunk and reaching almost 12' from base to top) purple plum from Greenbrier Farms in late April, paying almost $170. I was told it would take their girl a couple days to dig and they would call me. I never received a call from them so I called them the next week and they told me it was ready to be picked up. I picked up the tree and noticed it looked wilted and withering. I planted immediately in good soil and watered thoroughly, and then inquired about the wilting. They told me to water it, but I would be fine ... "this is due to the heat". I have continued to water daily for several months now, but it is still dead. I stopped by again to tell them it did not live, but they told me there was no warranty as I got it for a "really low price". Do NOT buy from Greenbrier Farms!!! They are thieves. I'm going to buy from a reputable nursery and put the good tree where the Greenbrier Farms "dead" tree currently resides. Then, I'll have to take the dead tree to the dump or a fishing hole.

We picked up our Christmas tree on Small Business Saturday and with the exception of some pc issues trying to check out we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. And our tree is gorgeous!

Greenbriar Farms has a vast selection of trees and shrubs that are grown on site. They supply many local garden centers and do mostly contract work, but they are also open to the public. I think they still have a "scratch and dent" section ...
