Help us make it rightThe atmosphere was ok. The server polite enough but not that attentive. The food while tasty was a bit overpriced.drive of 50 min is not worth it.
If you're lucky, you'll get Suzanne as your server. She's very attentive and articulate about the flavor of the menu items and specials. She's also quite knowledgeable about which wine would make a successful pairing. The food was very good (though my lamb ribs were overly fatty, therefore the 4 stars). The atmosphere is very pleasant. This was a return trip for us and we will certainly come...
My family and I went to Fire & Vine for Mothers's Day. Was a little disappointed that the full menu wasn't available, just its Brunch one. Got over the disappointment when I got my entree. I had the salmon special, which was a grilled salmon on top of mashed potatoes. I also ordered the garlic spinach on the side, which was so flavorful! My husband had the 15 oz ribeye with loaded mashed...
First time dining there and food was delicious. Fried green tomato appetizer a must get as well as sangria! Our entrees were very delicious and portions were huge! Highly recommend this spot.
My family chose Fire and Vine to celebrate 2 family members 60th birthdays. We chose Fire and Vine because a family friend, Jan Haflin, was playing and singing on April 26th. When we arrived our table was reserved for 8 near Jan so we could visit in between sets. Food, Wine and entertainment was fabulous as we reminisced about the fun we all had in High School together. Our waitress/service was...
Had eaten here a couple of years earlier and was quite impressed. Things change over time. For an Easter Brunch, with not many guest, service was off. Had to ask for silverware, then sweeter for tea and salt and pepper when the food arrived.. Long wait for food to be served. Food was good. No dessert tray or explanation of what was offered, just handed a menu. Didn't order any. Then had an long...
Very nice fine, as I spend a lot of time in Virginia Beach. Was surprised that they ran out of their prime rib by 7:30 on a Saturday, but the dry aged prime rib and the filet were both good. And the s'more bread pudding dessert hit the spot. A great spot, with the added treat of burning wood smell in the air.
Food was good. They took down the curtains and it is winter outside making our meal akin to eating outside on the ski slopes. Not exactly hoping to use my night away from the kids dressed in my winter coat.
Sashimi grade tuna and salad was very delicious! Mimosa was good too! And our server was very nice and helpful!
Some of the plating was a little off like steak in a bowl. The flavor balance was spot on. At first we tasted the individual components and thought could use salt, but when the components were combined they balanced out and the taste was balanced. The Pork still needed a little salt. We will return and dig deeper into the menu as we were pleased with our dinner overall. We could tell that there...
We decided to try lunch during restaurant week. I tried the Cheeseburger and my husband Pork Loin it was excellent both meals we were pleasantly surprised . After checking prices of regular menus the prices were reasonable . We will be definitely be back to Fire & Vine.
I tired this on a visit to Virginia Beach during restaurant week. The food was excellent and so was the service. I would go back even when it was not restaurant week.
Enjoyed the Restaurant Week Menu and the beer selection. They had my favorite beer on tap and the service was great. The wood burning oven makes it so cozy as soon as you walk in. We will be back soon!
My girlfriends and I decided to eat here during restaurant week. All of us really enjoyed our meal. The food was creative and delicious! The scallops were very very good! There was a live guitar/ singer and he was very entertaining. It was quiet music that we could easily talk above, but many times we stopped talking and just really enjoyed listening to him play!
My wife and I and our best friends dined again at this fine restaurant and as always the food was outstanding as was the service. We happened to come this time on the artist night and I must say every canvas was occupied and everyone was having a great time. However, it was a little noisy and although we intend to go back just not on painting night. I would highly recommend.
I was pleasantly surprised with the menu choices, and pairing of appetizer and main dish selections. Presentation and flavor was exquisite.
I wish that I had known that there was a prix-fixe menu for Valentine's Day. But let me start at the beginning. First, the hostess seated us at what has to be the worst table in the restaurant. One on side of me was someone at the next table whose elbow I would have been rubbing while eating. On the other side of me was this huge column that the table was jammed up beside. Then we were hit with...
I was not disappointed with Fire and Vine. It has a very mellow setting so it's perfect for a romantic dinner! My husband and I went there for Valentine's Day and it was perfect! They even have a kid's menu if you want to bring along the little ones! Our waiter was very patient and an absolute sweetheart. The wine was great, and the steak was fantastic! I'll definitely be here again, and again,...
Went there Friday before Valentines. Great service. The food was superbly prepared. Definitely going back.
We enjoyed an early dinner during the happy hour specials. $5.00 pizzas, wings , wines & cocktails made the night . See you again soon .
This place has great atmosphere and terrific food. We had the grilled shrimp as an appetizer. Nice presentation on the skewer hanging for an iron hook, and very flavorful. I had the chef's catch - fantastic taste and a huge portion for me. He had a pizza which was good, but short on sauce and cheese.....maybe just a little too trendy over tasty. I had a wine flight that was a nice combination...
My Wife and I have celebrated several special occasions here, most notably our wedding dinner, 30 people, and more recently our 1 year anniversary, just the two of us. The service and food is outstanding and impeccable every time. We are never disappointed. We often recommend Fire and Vine to people we know and meet as you cannot go wrong with any of the menu choices. Whether you are just...
Good food, and good for going with a large crowd, as there is typically availability.
Wife and I eat here quite often. The food is outstanding, staff is friendly and accommodating and the wine list will satisfy any palette. Highly recommended and recommend you make reservations. Fire and Vine has a tendency to fill up quickly on weekends.
We decided to come here instead of Chops for a little different experience, so glad we did! We had the pork chop and the churssasco steak both were incredible. They offer a corking fee so we brought our own bottle of wine, all was great! Server Suzanne was delightful, we will definitely be back!
Wife and I went for a New Year's Eve dinner and was very pleased as always. Our server was friendly and very professional. The barque lamb ribs were excellent as were the wine pairings with each course. We've been there several times and each time has been excellent.
F&V alway known for extensive wine selection. The first three wines we picked were out of stock and each time took a long time foe waiter to get back to us. We ended up with an ok wine above our price point. The food TASTED very good, but was not hot enough. Overall an annoying birthday dinner. Staff was pleasant, the main reason I gave three stars vs two stars. We have always had a five star...
Mywife had BBQ chicken with truffel mac and cheese. I had churrasco, which was tasty but only perhaps 4 ouncews total for $26. At least one fourth were inedible due to fat or gritg. Not a bargain for sure. Also most dishes had potatoes rather than veggies of some sort asw a side dish. Suggest they add a veggie along with the potato.
Overall it was great, our server was very sweet and explained the entrees with patience. I was undecided. My steak was cooked just right, but when we sat down, the drinks were slow to arrive, more than likely because of the busy bar. I will go back.
Tina, Our server told us that she had to take care of other tables before getting our food. It was loud and for the price we paid, not very good food or service.
Fire and Vine has a great atmosphere, the food is great, and the staff is always welcoming. I have always been happy with the wine selection!
My husband and I recently visited on a weekend night. Have not been in some time. But the new Chef Stein has really upgraded the restaurant menu and wine list. We had a wonderful server Tonya who was very helpful with our wine choices and she had even written down the Rose' wine I liked. Service was top notched, although the two steak choices were very poor caliber meats. My sirloin was full of...
Went for my husband's birthday. He gets the filet every time we go. It's always excellent. I'm not a big beef person but even I have ordered the filet. This visit I had the Shiraz BBQ chicken with the truffle Mac and cheese. OMG!!!! I had enough left over for lunch the next day and it was just as good the second time around.
We came on a Friday night. They had a large party and told us that it may take longer to get our meals. It didn't. I had the ribeye with sweet potatoe fries. It was to die for. My husband got a wedge salad. It was very large and very nicely presented. He also got a sausage pizza. It was just average. He should have ordered a fish or ribs. It is an expensive place but it was good. The staff was...
Such a great treat to have live music playing that wasn't too loud or disruptive to conversation. Server Suzanne was awesome with her knowledge & tantalizing descriptions of the dishes. Everything was wonderful & delicious.
we weren't celebrating anything special, but from the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a special night! Olivia greeted us at the door in a very professional manner and seated us at our table quickly, letting us know we would be in very good hands with Suzanne, our server. Suzanne guided us thru the menu and what she called the "adult beverage menu", telling us there was something for...
Slower night, so noise & atmosphere was wonderful. All food delicious with reasonable (not large) portions. Great selection of liquor & wines to compliment our meal. Our server Suzanne was helpful & attentive for our party of five all night - please give her our thanks!
We love the food and the ambiance. We are definitely coming back
The crab cake, scallops, & fried green tomato appetizers are wonderful. All entrees were so good and everyone was raving about the great service by Suzanne and how delicious the food was.
Server was able to offer much info on wine And food selections. Her suggestions were excellent! The bison was amazing as was the tuna, ribeye, & cauliflower steak. The quinoa that comes with the cauliflower entree was the best ever and still amazing leftovers the next day.
Way too expensive for the bad quality of food and service. Ordered medium rare steak and well done and neither were correct and the food was cold by the time it got here. Also asked for fries and paid for them, but didn't receive them.
Absolutely love it. Frequent diner club is a great value. Vincent is a great waiter. We have never had anything we did not like. The bathrooms are also quite beautiful!
I enjoy eating here at lunch more than dinner, mainly because it can be quite loud during dinner and hard to hear your conversations. The Chefs table has some yummy salads and yummy grilled veggies.…
Wife and I ate at the grape for the first time last night. We both enjoyed the salad bar which was not your normal salad bar. However, I enjoy new things, so I liked the unfamiliar expedition. My wife…

Love this place! Great atmosphere, excellent service and food. Recommend the wine flight with your meal. You won't be disappointed.
They cook your steak just like you order it, mine was "pittsburgh, but rare inside, not blue"... It was perfect warning! Chef's table (salad bar) can be a meal... For dessert, you have to try the "new world truffles" grand marnier, chambord, peanut butter (2 ea.)... Fought my partner to get a couple. There is a wine for any taste and food coupling. Staff is very accommadating and special...
