I don't understand how he can run up huge charges without getting owner authorizationIn the state I live in all repairs over 100.00 must have written estimation and be signed off by owner, on you don't pay, just call law enforcement and have him locked away.I can only hope he gets nailed by the medical industry one day so he can feel the pain of getting scammedHi, guys! I from Russia and...

Hi, guys! I from Russia and constantly watch your automobile shows and to me it is pleasant to look as restore old cars or do of them hot road, I respect Fantom Works work, but I don't agree with their prices for work and to me it is a pity people when they are spoken how many by them have to pay for work, I see their faces and all my positive emotions from show at once vanish, one...

I own a collision repair and restoration shop in Massachusetts. I have been in the body business for 35 years. About 75% of my customers have no idea what kind of man hours are required to restore an older car. That's why they bring it to a professional. If you aren't happy with the work than express your concerns to them owner of the shop. If you aren't happy with the work then don't pay for...

Just watched the episode with the 1964 impalla for the marine..$100000+ grand and the poor customer had supplied a heap of parts and engine.. I dont know why drs fantom works still has people taking there cars to them.. I just cant believe that he ripped a marine off... his team butchered the paint on the 57 belair and then hit the owner up to pay some $$$ to fix there stuff up. Dan is a bit of...

Sorry i made a mistake i thought the impalla build was for a marine because he was in kuwait. But i am wrong sorry.. I still think dan ripped the poor bloke off. disapointed wrote: Just watched the episode with the 1964 impalla for the marine..$100000+ grand and the poor customer had supplied a heap of parts and engine.. Thanks Annoyed, it wasnt until i read your reply that i realised that i worded it wrong. There are shops out there that do alot better work (which would not be hard) for a heap cheaper. annoyed wrote: ...Sorry i should not have said that there are shops out there that are just as good.... disapointed wrote: Just watched the studebaker build...$120000 + grand to build that...? 1500 hours are you kidding. If you had a closer look there was poor weld, poor weld finish.. Welds not ground down properly on the dash. There are shops out there that just as good if not better work for a hell of a lot cheaper. I guess because they are on tv means that they can rip people off.. ...Sorry...

The Studebaker looked even more ugly than before! The Mustang in the Same episode was also a piece of junk! This guy acts like he is the greatest talent on earth but in fact he is an arrogant rip off! disapointed wrote: Just watched the studebaker build...$120000 + grand to build that...? 1500 hours are you kidding. I guess greylibbey is one of the poor suckers that got ripped off and now has to defend any negative feedback so he can feel better. An opinion is someones right. maybe DRS fantom works needs to portray themselves better and also display better quality work on tv. Im sorry but some of the work they have shown is not worth what his customers are paying. Rather disguisting that he could charge a...

Take a 63' corvette convertible with a 327 and replace it with a crate 350, and add a removable hard top and charge over 60,000? are you kidding? that 327 is on the best engines ever and you ruined that car with that new 350 and robbed the customer with that ridiculous cost. You can buy original corvettes in pristine condition for that much and your crate 350 will only depreciate in value....

No im not a customer nor will i ever be. If you want to make a show to claim how good your mechanics are and showoff work then dont follow these guys. Ive seen fiberglass work done better in a stereo shop and cost nothing near what DRS charged. There is no lack of talent in the auto industry, ive seen some amazing work done by true hot rod enthusiasts but this one takes the cake in cost and is...

erik wrote: Fantom works robs people with there prices lol,, it disgusting How did you know? Are you an actual customer, or you're just basing our comment from the show?

FantomWorks restored my Checker Marathon. It looks better today than it ever did new, runs great, and is (apparently) a real eye-catcher. I get kudos of all sorts, from pretty girls smiling to beer salutes from the guys at the biker bars. Dan Short absolutely will not cheat anybody on any price, period. Ever. You will never meet a more honest businessman. When you factor in his...

Fantom works robs people with there prices lol,, it disgusting

Although I do not know the individual's circumstaces, I do NOT agree with the reviews posted 5 Nov 2012. For one, if you want to replace the tires and floor mats of a car, DO IT YOURSELF. I am having Dan and his excellent metal workers and suspension guys prepare me a new frame and coil-over suspension for my 1929 Ford Phaeton street rod. And they do much less and much more complex tasks. ...

I would like to add to my comment above that in my experience the DRS cost estimate projections have been honest and accurate.

We have never had a customer by the name of Bob Mcginn or Robert Mcginn so I have no idea who this person is.Strange that both bad emails occurred on the same day from customers that don't exist
