Thumbs up. The only reason they don't get five stars is because It's my favorite style of food, but when Im craving southern and homemade. This is the spot.

I ordered takeout which consisted of ribs, potato salad and greens, I got home eat my meal the ribs were about 45-50 percent fat the greens were the worst I've ever tasted the total cost was $14.21. For what I got it should have been $5. The ribs were with two bones the best thing about to whole meal was the potato salad and cornbread. We had great expectations after hearing so many people say how good the food was. My entire family was so disappointed. The wait staff needs more training and the cook's food was not up to par.

Great Southern Food.. Highly recommend wings fried or buffalo the macaroni and cheese is the best I've ever had. Usually have live entertainment, most Friday nights. Good atmosphere for couples or families.

Food was pretty good. Wings/fish sweet potatoes-on point! Didn't care too much for the macncheese or the greens or cabbage. Lacked flavor. My mother ordered ribs that weren't too good. Owner was very nice & hospitable!

I have to disagree with the last comment. I ate at Family Secrets and the food was incredible and the service was impeccable. The crab cakes were simply marvelous and the owner treated us like family. Definitely would eat there again.

My family and went there today and the food was horrible. The staff did not seem to want to help at all. The mac and cheese was such a disappointment because it lacked taste. One member of our party ordered the shrimp alfredo and the waitress came back ten minutes later and said it would be 35-45 minutes for the pasta to cook. Very warm and inviting atmosphere. BBQ ribs, greens, yams and Yes!the crab cakes are delicious. Fridays and Saturdays nites offer live band.

Have visited on several occasions, especially for the yams. Found the entree offerings limited but well done! However, the desserts are a bit pricey for their diminuitive size.

I had lunch here the other day and it was pretty good. I had the crab cake, green beans and mac and cheese. The fried chicken was good also. I wasn't impressed with the yams though.
