I did not like this restaraunt at all. the food was not all that great but the price was ridiculous for what they give you. i settled for spaghetti. this is a restauraunt i wouldnt mind seeing replaced. it says american bistro but where is the american food?
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I eat there all of the time. The food and service are excellent, and there is no way that their new york strip special was $55. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but there is a garage six blocks down and you can always find a meter close by. Definitely check this restaurant out.
Do not trust the "$$" rating. I ordered the New York strip special. My fault I guess for not asking the price up front, but $55!!!!!!!! Can't help but wonder if that had something to do with our waiter's recommendation. It certainly was not because of the quality of the steak because it was "average" at best. Other issue is the parking - there is none. No valet, no parking garage, no available meters. Only option our party could figure out was to valet at the nearby Holiday Inn and pretend we were going to eat at "Isle of Capri". Come to think of it, maybe thats where we should have gone!!!!

Eat was an excellent find for us. The restaurant was well located, and provided a very nice quiet setting. The food was varied and the choices were excellent. Eat has become one of our favorites, the staff is great, the food is always spot on and it's just a wonderful place to have an intimate dinner with my wife.

Rare find for anyone who likes creative cuisine and interesting, fresh, flavors. The service is improved and exceptional. Servers are so nice and attentive without intruding, yet friendly if you are interested in conversing. The only drawback whatsoever is the outback bathroom.

This is the third time experiencing EAT. The food and cocktails are always fantastic and the menu is constantly changing. The interior is a bit small and the bathroom situation leaves much to be desired (go before you get there) but the food and drinks are great.

Innovative cuisine coupled with high quality ingredients. The Oysters Rock was an excellent appetizer. My wife had the Rockfish special, a gourmet delight. I had the Oyster Stew which was nothing short of ambrosia for the gods.

We enjoyed VB Restaurant week with some dear friends and spent almost 3 hours talking, eating and drinking 3 bottles of wine from their 1/2 price wines. No rush, no pressure. This was one of the best meals we have had since moving to Virginia Beach. I wish we had discovered it sooner. The ants on a log (escargot in bone marrow) is not to be missed. The pan seared halibut was excellent as was everything we ate. It's a small place so make a reservation.

Third time there, third time happy with all aspects of the meal and service. Only recommendations are two: a couple more vegetarian options and a reliable (fool proof) way to pay for enough parking time to not have to leave mid way through dinner to feed the meter.
I eat out 200 night a year and this is one of my favorite spots. Menu is always over the top and the staff is fabulous. I always look forward to dining here.

The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was magnificent! The chef puts together unique combinations of ingredients, and they work beautifully. The soft shell crab coated with crushed blue tortilla chips was crispy and delicious. They have a variety of small plates, so you can mix and match.
