This is the best Hot Dog in Hampton Roads. It is the best gatherine place and has been for decades. The overall cleanest, best fast food, friendliest, best variety, including soups, and Hot dogs
This restaurant specializes in hot dogs, but the dogs are not spectacular. Hormel franks are good, but undersized. Standard white bread buns get soggy fast. Toppings limited to: cheese sauce, slaw, sauerkraut, and chili. Service was quick, courteous, and efficient. Good prices. More choice of toppings, better rolls, and bigger franks would be much better.
Stopped in the other day for the first time. We tried one of each kind of dog and found them to be the best in this area hands down. The service was quick and friendly. I promise you...you will not be dissappointed with this place.

Being from Detroit, I'm always on the hunt for an extraordinary chili dog. Doug's Hot Dogs are a beacon of exceptional taste and quality in what has proven to be a sea of mediocrity. I'll be returning many times for the fantastic chili dogs and unparalleled "Suicide Dog."
Super hotdogs fixed all kinds of ways. Staff was very helpful.
Prices are very fair with good combo specials.
It's a must experience of Ocean View.

Nice mom and pop operation. Good hot dogs fixed to order. When we are busy doing things, we turn to Dougs Hot Dogs to hold us over.

YUM. Great place to grab lunch.. I do wish they had fries or onion rings.. something on the side besides chips. But can't beat the chilli dog.
Just cook your own Oscar Mayer. I had a basic hot dog. It was on the quality level of an Oscar Mayer. I can't remember if they advertised Boar's Head or something like that, but whatever they're using, it's of tremendously low quality. I have enjoyed microwaved hot dogs at home more.

Just hotdogs. If you want a hotdog and are too lazy to prepare them yourself then come to Doug's. It's pretty obvious they just buy hotdogs from somewhere and put them on the grill. Nothing special but not bad.
I never thought i could get a real hot dog at some place else other than coney island, but this is the best place to go!!

Not many people know what bay-style clam chowder is, but this is where you will get the best and also the best hot dogs & chili you ever put in your mouth! I make it a stop whenever I'm within 30 miles of it!
