The staff was helpful and pleasant. Good service.
Linens were not washed/smelling used. Price is good and very close to Water Country USA
I would have expected the name Wyndham to have a good reputation when it comes to staying at their hotels, but I was wrong. It was a mess from the day of check in. First of all I needed an extra cot in my room which I was promised on the ride down that it would be in my room when I got there. We get to the room, no cot, and the bathroom floor had long and curly black hair all over the floor,...
Everything we needed .. Priced right and close to both parks
The lobby is in great shape, staff was excellent and location was great. The only issue was the quality of the room and guest floor. The hotel was advertised as newly renovated, but the guest floors are not complete. Things are in disrepair, unclean and worst part for me was the spiders (and the webs w/o spiders). Once the renovations are complete I could give it a try again.
Very pleasant staff on check in, after getting to room found that TV was only a very snowy picture, staff responded promptly to fix the problem but they couldn't, they said the cable company would be out the next day to fix it. The TV was NEVER fixed. This was a big problem for us because we were only there to celebrate our granddaughters birthday, secondary to knee replacement surgery less...
The cleaning ladies tried to make the room look better by cleaning it really well, but the space was crammed, the AC unit was louder than an army plane-so we had to sleep in a hot, sticky room- and the bathroom was disgusting. A lot of noisy, rude people would keep us awake at night and teh Front Desk finally did something about it after our second call. The breakfast was embarrassing, ALWAYS...
Check in is the problem with no room available ; Check in is the problem with no room available ; Check in is the problem with no room available : Check in is the problem with no room available
This is just me and my family's opinion. Room was ready early, pool was decent, and plenty of hot water, and close to Busch Gardens . That was the good. Now for the rest... room looked fairly clean, to later find a sock behind a curtain. A big blood or soil stain under fitted sheet that had started to saturate through both sheets after our 2nd night. It looks like it may have attempted to be...
No tv working properly some hotel staff are not welcoming
Generally ok, but bathroom had water stains and the breakfast was not that great. Remote control for TV was broken. Pool was nice and location convenient. Good value for what we paid.
Not a bad experience, there were too many noisy Children running around at nite.
First they do not have early checking. I arrived at 2 pm and have to wait until 3 pm. Then room assigned did not have any towels, beddingneed to be change also. I found the bedding dirty. Third day again no towels I did call front desk 3 times to get towels and coffee.
Nice place to sleep as long as slamming doors do not bother you. Beds are comfortable and breakfast is good. They say that it has been remodeled. I am guessing by remodel they mean replaced furnishings. The tub needed replaced and there was no exhaust fan. The furnishings, however, were very nice. I would suggest placing some type of rubber stopper on doors so they do not slam shut and echo down...
I had stayed at this hotel before when it was Days Hotel and had enjoyed my stay which was why I selected them again. This time my room was very hot (air was not turned on in room was 97 outside), the air was set on the lowest and coolest temp. but never cooled during my 5 day stay. Saw a roach on the tv stand, had to take the very hot and slow elevators to another floor to find ice, not all...
We stayed at this hotel for three evenings with our two grandsons and had a wonderful time. Got to do plenty of swimming, see Colonial Williamsburg, have the best time at Water Country USA and enjoy great food!!!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone, old and young!!!
No good breakfast. It should be more balanced. Original juiced. More fruits and less carbs. No good
Did not receive enough wash cloths for the amount of people. Asked at the front desk and the gentleman came back with one, and said the others had to be washed what is your room? Gave him the room number, and saw him about 10 mins later in the elevator and asked when I might expect them... He did not remember the room number... needless to say no additional wash cloths... Two of the days the...
The hotel had undergone renovations, but it wasn't complete. The rooms were clean, but the AC unit made a lot of noise and the shower was horrible. I couldn't wash my hair because there was no water pressure. The breakfast in the morning is a hot breakfast, but it wasn't very good. The pancakes were rubbery and overly sweet and the room did not accommodate the large groups of people who were...
The room wasn't as clean as it should have been. Also cable here was minimum at best
Reasonable price .. Comfortable beds Breakfast was good
It was an excellent experience, the room was well done, bathroom was clean, the towels were clean and replaced daily Olot of towels were provided, the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and hot. we enjoyed our stay a lot.
We took our granddaughter to Busch Gardens & Water Country USA to celebrate her upcoming 10th birthday. Busch Gardens is one exit away off I-64 and the hotel is a half-mile from Water Country. Parking at both attractions is $15 per day, and if you keep your receipt from one, you can use it at the other the same day as "prepaid parking," if you will. The hotel is a former Days Inn and was...
Check out time too early. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel has design flaws. Bathrooms are old with grungy bath fit kits, stucco-style walls, poorly fitted tiles, a hole in the wall behind the toilet and no sink. So you contaminate your hands and have to walk outside the bathroom to the room to find a sink, touching every surface on the way. The beds were passable in terms of comfort but the air-conditioning and amenities try very hard to get...
Two rooms, two nights,2 great days at 2 great parks. Both parks close to hotel, making it our choice next year when we return. Good breakfast in morning. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
Staff is superb from the front desk, to maintenence to the really nice man who cooks in that kitchen that needs it's a/c fixed before the kitchen staff have a heat stroke. Some updates are visible but still needs it's final touches. The breakfast rush is a little crazy but it works well for a family such as ours with kids and the food was good and plentiful. I would stay again.
The hotel was very nice and comfortable. Although there is some construction going on, the overall appearance was clean and nice. The exercise room is quite small and needs to be expanded. Our hotel room was comfortable and clean and the front desk staff was nice UNTIL it was the day of our check out. Check out time for this hotel is 11:00. The housekeeping staff started knocking on our door at...
Dirty lobby and room/bathroom, hair in sheets decent location and breakfast. Left after 1 night.
Was under renovation. Hall had a bad smell and sheet had stains on it.
Hotel Staff were outstanding in every way! They were welcoming and helpful. The Complimentary Breakfast offered a wide selection and it was plentiful. Pool was clean and had great hours!
I was very comforting the staff was wonderful and very friendly
The hotel staff were friendly but the property is being renovated. Although there is much work to be done, basic cleanliness would go a long way. Linens were stained, no mattress covers, shower not clean and it looks like a hotel where staff is given a minimal amount of time to clean a room between guests. Basic spring cleaning is required here too! A property can be old but no excuse for...
The Best part about this hotel is the location! Its across the road from Water Country, about 3 miles from Bush Gardens, and its about 6 miles from Colonial Williamsburg. The hotel was recently renovated new beds, furniture,TV etc which made for a comfortable stay after longs days at the parks. The only thing they did not touch was the bathrooms which do need help. While not new the bathrooms...
Stained pillows on both beds, remote control for TV wasn't programmed the ac had filth in/on it. The outside dumpster next to the building/parking was filthy garbage all around
Was ok air conditioner kept leaking and shutting off the toilet was loose other then that it was a good hotel
Rundown but in process of remodeling. One elevator in service for 8 floors and it was very slow, quicker to walk stairs. No vending machines, was told none of them work. The breakfast was good as far as continental breakfasts go. Across the street from water park but you can't make a turn in the right direction so you have to go way down and do a u-turn. Will not stay here again.
Near parks but not real close to the busy restaurant area. Room was clean and updated.
Right across the street from water country USA and about five mins from Busch gardens. Trash was found behind the dressers but overall was a decent hotel to stay at.
Hotel was easy to get to. Staff was helpful and polite. Room was clean and comfortable. Free, hot breakfast was surprisingly good, and probably saved my family $40 a day. Pool was nice.
No problems what so ever. Only thing was the hotel was being renovated but didn't cages any problems.
Pool liner needs a good cleaning. Breakfast was good. The staff went out of their way for the customers.
This former Days Inn is in the process of being renovated by Wyndham which was evident in the rooms. Standard size rooms but the beds were pretty comfortable. Bathroom was OK except that there is no exhaust fan in toilet/bath area. Would be nice if they installed hair dryers like some other hotels. AC units in hallways didn't keep them very cool, and elevators were slow and hot. Full breakfast...
Very nice stay! The only complaint would be the breakfast.
Name change from Days Hotel to Wyndham caused a little confusion at first, but overall good experience. Hotel clean and updated. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet and in an excellent location for the purpose of our trip, i.e. Busch Gardens/Water Country USA. The breakfast buffet that is included in the cost of the room was really very good! The best "continental" breakfast that I can...
Hotel is clean and nice. The breakfast was decent. The only thing that bothered us was the noise from air conditioning unit.
Front staff was very warm and welcoming. Hotel very clean.
The room was amazing. Only minor complaint was that the hot/cold water was backwards on sink.
Checked out a day earlier due an insect problem in the room! Rooms were not clean!
I had a relaxing stay. The room was clean and the hotel is close to everything going on nothing is furthers than 6 miles.
This is my absolute favorite place to stay when coming to williamsburg:)
We were visiting Bush Gardens for Hallowscream. The hotel is very close to the park. When got in our room and pulled back the linens to get in bed we saw the bug. We took a photo of it then killed ...
Stayed here for a week, hated it. No hot water,no internet. web site showed a full gym, all they had was 3 treadmills.also showed huge game room which was actually a few games from the 80's.the po...
I don't even know where to begin.1. The nonsmoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. The front desk guy said there is nothing we can do and he sent up a maintenance person with air freshener. Air fr...
We got a very good price for this room. Excellent price through trip advisor, very comfortable bed, excellent housekeeping. Could use some updating and the air conditioner probably should be repla...
The hotel was nice, rooms & bathrooms were clean, free breakfast was a good perk. The only thing keeping this rating from being higher was that the heat didn't work in the room.We told the front de...
This hotel was great for a visit to Busch Gardens, but the rooms are worn and need refreshing, stained carpet and walls etc.
I booked this hotel to stay while my daughter and friends went to Busch Gardens Haloscream. It was close to the park, met all of our needs and the breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.
When we arrived, the building felt hot. Went up to room and the room was 85. Turned in air and it only chilled down a few degrees never under 80. This was a room on the 5th floorThe floors were stained. There was hair in the washcloths and sheets, and the room smelt bad. Asked for another room and the desk staff was rude. She finally gave us a key to check another room on that floor and it was...
The issue I had with this hotel was its lack of cleanliness. The carpets were dirty, as if no one ever vacumed, the windows were dirty enough that you couldn't see out the window clearly, and there were dead bugs on the walls. Also, the staff was not professional. one of the employees was dressed in jean shorts and house sandals with socks!I just got the impression that no one cared.
The hotel is just minutes away from the water country park usa. The continental breakfast is great. The rooms are kinda dated but clean. The price was reasonable. I would love to come back again!
Fantastic breakfast, really mean it! Been at a bunch of hotels primarily through my job. This hotel stay was for pleasure and definitely no other hotel breakfast even close. Staff very polite, friendly and very helpful, definitely would recommend.

We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the Busch Gardens and Water Country theme parks. We basically needed a place to sleep and shower for two nights.Although the hotel could use a general fixing up with regard to minor maintenance issues, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the price was great.
The hotel was a very pleasant experince. I do have to say the free breakfast was terrible, so if that is your deciding factor this wouldn't be where you would want to go.But staff was very courteous, accomodations very nice.
My husband and I had no problem at this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast wasn't too bad for being a hotel breakfast. They serve sausage, biscuits, pancakes, toast, etc.
Great location to the Busch Garden. This room is excellent rate and nice crews.Good breakfast.
Big size of bed room and very kind all of staff.Very good breakfast.Very convenient to the Busch Garden.
The hotel room was nice and clean. It was a smaller than expected. Breakfast was okay. No variety. There were only a few things to choose from and they were the same each day. The gentleman in charge of breakfast was very pleasant and friendly. Members of the front desk staff of the hotel would stand out front smoking and leave the doors open so the hotel lobby and breakfast area were filled...
I dont really know where to start so let me go this road. The good - It's close to Water Country and Rt 64. It has a pool (but these days that is no biggie)The Bad - The place is very dated all the way around and it borderlines on creepy in appearance at night. It wasn't secured so you could just walk in the back or side door w/o keys. I know it was the off season but in two days I only saw 3...
Staff was courteous and friendly, very friendly and helpful; efficient. Room was good, no issues.... All in all .... Had an awesum stay.
perfect but need bacon with breakfast******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
We stayed at this hotel off season for something other than tourist reasons, so the entire place was empty. That said, it was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The woman at the desk was pleasant. The free breakfast left a little to be desired, but I don't fault them because with so few guests, they couldn't put out an entire spread, but they did offer eggs, sausage, biscuits, etc. -...
I read before some negative reviews like always do,but the Hotel is clean the appearance look great staff is friendly and the value is great I am really happy with what I got for my money
Great hotel good location enjoyed breakfast great service
The hotel is in a great location for Busch Gardens and Water Country. The hotel needs to be renovated. Everything feels very outdated and dirty. When I checked in, the hotel didn't receive my room reservation from Cheap Tickets. It took them about 15 minutes to find it after searching through their system and many booking sites. Thankfully, they had a room available that we were able to stay in.
great location. staff friendly and courteous. mattress could use an upgrade but room was clean and nice. will definitely use this hotel again.
When we arrived at the hotel we were happy to be granted a late checkout time but our experience went downhill from there. I turned on the heat before leaving for dinner and returned to find the room cold and not changing. Calling the front desk only resulted in the clerk telling us she couldn't do anything and would have to move us. After packing up the kids and pack n play and going back to...
When we arrived to this hotel we were very excited because the lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We we arrived to our room however the light in the room wasn't working, the floors were unvaccumed, the temp control on the Heat/AC was broken making the room uncomfortably hot or cold and when we removed the standard comforters the box spings were bare and one was crushed. I believe...
The hotel was alright at best. The location is close to Busch Gardens (our reason for the trip) and restaurants. The hotel staff seemed unfriendly and bored, and were slow to meet needs. We had to call down twice to ask for a cot, which they charged us for. The carpeting was stained and there was no continental breakfast offered. However, you get what you pay for, and the rate per night was...
Clean room. Friendly staff. Good restaurant! Close to all the attractions (Yorktown, Jamestown, Busch Gardens, Williamsburg)
Hotel location is perfect...easy to find right off I-64. Close to everything but not in the middle of the heavy Williamsburg strip traffic. Staff was friendly. Rooms satisfactory. I did not like the fact that the whole hotel was pet freindly. There needs to be a pet free section for those of us with allergies. Also didnt like the price of the breakfast buffett, which seemed to be nothing more...
Overall the hotel was nice and met our needs- we needed something close to all the attractions and did not want to pay an arm and a leg which we did not. Our room had some issues- the outlet in between the beds did not work so the lamp and clock did not work and the coffee machine was broken in our room. We also thought having a mini frige would have helped but they did not them.
We requested a wake up call in the morning for checking out and never received it.Could have been cleaner, there were hairs in the bathroom before we used it.
Wow...The hotel was just in poor overall condition. The bathroom curtains looked dirty. The "bar" was terrible. Employees were just hanging around smoking. My son and I tried to set up a busted pingpong table. The empployees just wached did offfer to help. water leaking in the lobby hallway. Our rooms did not get cleaned until after 2:00PM...If you and your buddies want to go cheap; cool. Not a...
The hotels location was very convenient to Busch Gardens and the hotel staff was very polite and helpful. While walking through the halls, I could hear the other guess conversations. While in my room I could hear my neighbors conversations and their alarm clock woke me up to. The room was clean, but the hotel tub was stained,so I could not determine whether it was clean or not. The vending and...
Our room was not a five star hotel room. But I guess we got what we paid for. We did not have that mean channels, our remote control did not have the back batter cover. The walls seem to be fall part as in water opening and marks. No fridge, no high defination tv or chanels. Restuarant was not a high quality place. Employees did not seem to friendly, as in I saw them, they saw me and did not...
The pool patio bar was very nice and relaxing. the room was clean and neat and the staff was very friendly and helpful each time i encountered them. This is the perfect location for all of the parks too. just perfect all around. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
We had 7 of us who drove 3.5 hours for my nephews (and their sons) Coast Guard Graduation that following day. We arrived at 8:30pm, hungry, tired, and ready to visit with our Coast Guardman whom we havent seen in several months. We were told the restruant in your hotel was open until 10pm, and that there were numerous other places in the area in which to eat. We drove around town, nothing was...
Close to Water Country USA and Busch Gardens. Nice, Clean Hotel. Friendly staff.
We were so pleased with the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. The room was clean and well cared for. The only thing we missed was there was no refrigerator in the room for our cold drinks. The restaurant, although it was only open from 8-11, was clean, food was terrific and the staff was excellent. We were made to feel right at home as if it were our hometown restaurant. Our appreciation...
As far as location, very easy to the parks. If you want an inexpensive hotel with average comfort, the Days hotel was perfect. No real complaints. I was looking for an inexpensive option and this one worked for me. I just needed a place to sleep after the days at the parks.
We hated it After reading the review about them having bedbugs I didn't want to stay there and was very worried about it.
Great location for the price, easy access to the interstate.
We had asked for a handicapped accessable room. When we checked in they only had a room with a king sized bed. There were three adults in our party, so the clerk offered a roll away bed. We agreed to that. The roll away would have barely held a child. Called the front desk and was offered the room next door that wasn't handicapped accessable. We took it. The first room smelled bad. The second...
Great staff and our room was clean. Easy to find from the interstate-
Great location. Across the street from Water Country USA and an easy 2 miles from Busch Gardens. We were on the second floor above a very noisy ball room being used by a family reunion. Could clearly hear songs word for word. Doors need better padding. A young group of teenagers were on our hall constantly slamming doors at late hours of the night. However, if none of this occurs during your...
There really isn't anything nice I can say about this place - it was disgusting. I guess this is a classic case of "you get what you paid for". The price was cheap and so was the hotel. Rooms were dirty (there was nasty goop like stuff on our comforters, we ended up going to Target to get other blankets to use) the cleaning staff was rude. They came into our room, took our towels and trash, but...
The hotel is located less than 5 minutes from Water Country USA and only 10-20 minutes from any other place in Williamsburg and Lightfoot. The room was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff did forget to leave us new cups and ice bucket liner on one of the nights. The free Wi-Fi was weak during prime usage time, but the hotel does have a business center that has free internet access....
Location was good, room was clean, noise level was high. I was on the 7th floor and could hear everyone in the pool past 10 pm when the pool was supposed to be closed and doors down the hall closed very loudly.
My husband and I chose this hotel due to its location to Water Country & Busch Gardens. It was a perfect location, across the street from Water Country & 1 mile to Busch Gardens. The property was clean and our grandchildren had a great time in the pool. We only used the restaurant for breakfast and the food was excellent. The staff were all friendly and would always greet you if they passed...
visited busch gardens terrible breakfast for the price
OK for the price. My only complaint: Would not let us check in early for some reason even though the hotel was empty. I stay in hotels almost weekly and almost never come across this problem.
If your looking for a place just to sleep, then this is the place. It's an older Hotel so it looks it's age. The people were nice and responsive. The bad was it needed new rugs the furniture was old. It was not a good place to hang out in, but it was close to everything.
My daughter & 3 friends stayed...very cheap price, they went to Busch Gardens for a day and needed somewhere cheap and close...this was it!
This by far was the worst place i haver ever stayed in.the room stank of mould, smoke and god knows whatelse.the windows were filthy inside and out,the bed linen you wouldnt let a dog sleep on them.there was … This by far was the worst place i haver ever stayed in.the room stank of mould, smoke and god knows whatelse.the windows were filthy inside and out,the bed linen you wouldnt let a dog sleep...
