Help us make it rightThis course continues to be a recommended spot seasonally. We have had a lot of rain so far this Spring. Course wet but greens in good condition. Very few areas of standing water or GUR. Visually appealing. Not narrow so plenty of room for errand shots. Residential course but not tight so not a lot of out of bounds.
Early spring so fairways were brown and quite hard - tough to take a divot in spots. Greens were fine.
The greens were great shape. The pace of play was terrible with a special grouping playing before us. Overall the weather was great but pace of play really messed with our tempo and focus on the course and scoring. I would recommend the course for customer service but it needs a course marshal. The cart lady had a big smile and came by often. Great 19th hole bar and grill.
Great course for the money. Fairways and greens were in good condition with only a few wet spots. Can't wait to play it again when the grass comes in.
The course was awesomely scenic, plenty of teeth and challenging but not overly difficult. Big smooth, perfect surfaces for the confident putter. Had a great time and will definitely be returning again soon!
Course was in wonderful shape. Well kept and clean. A neat design which allowed for views into the backwaters. Very scenic. Course was fairly open, but well placed clusters of trees made shot selection very important. If it wasn't for a golfnow.com deal, I would not have played this course. I will be back again.
I have played the course before and it challegnes the golf but lends itself to the weekend golfer from the forward tees. Was cart path only but that was ok. Pace of play was very good finished in 3:45 mins and that was walking most of the course. Always a pleasure to play here on a deal from Golf Now
This was a great course! It was very challenging and well maintained
There is enough conturing to make it interesting without tricking it up. Several challenging shots that course knowledge would help with the second time around. The greens could be faster to my preference but that could be a result of the Autumn season and recent precipitation.
Staff was awesome.....course is in great shape....a challenging course but gives you opportunities to score .....greens were awesome .....we played in rain and they rolled fast and true cannot imagine how fast they are when dry....we will be back !!
We have played this course several times, and consider it one of the best in the VA Beach/Norfolk/Suffolk area.
Beautiful condition, a fairly challenging course to play on a windy day!
I totally botched up my tee time. I thought I made it for the same day I booked it online. I didn't realize this until I showed up at course. The staff accomodated me for that day and were understanding in the mistake I made. Thanks Cypress Creek
greens have knitted well from last months aeration. fairways in good shape, as usual!
No matter when I play this course its well-maintained. Good mix of easy and moderate holes.
course is always in good to very good shape. this time, fairways were excellent and greens were 'mending' well from recent aeration (notification of aeration clear & provided in advance!). sand traps were unkempt, but this is more the fault of inconsiderate golfers than course maintenance. club house folks cordial, snack bar girls very friendly/good service. will play here again soon
Great course and staff! Well maintained and somewhat challenging. Will definitely play again very soon!
Worth the drive out to Smithfield. Easy holes are followed by good challenges. Number nine may drive you a little crazy. Make sure you look at the layout before teeing off. 15- 17 have some great river views. Have fun
A friend and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to play for so cheap. Cypress creek had one of the best layouts in the entire area with scenic views and wide fairways. The greens were great except for several that were a little wore out from folders refusing to correctly fix ballmarks. On the whole great bang for your buck and I would play it anytime I can find a cheap deal. Thank you...
Great course that presents a real challenge from the Blue Tees and a BEAST from the back tees...Bring your game because this course is ready for it!
This was my first time playing the course and would recommend other to play the course. Nice layout and golfer friendly.
One of the best courses I've played on this year. The putting greens were in excellent condition and challenging .
Great layout and good pace of play. Friendly staff. Will play again.
Course in Great Shape ... Fun, but Challenging ... Will Play Again ...
Very nice set-up. Staff was friendly. The snack bar staff was also friendly and made a great cheese Berger. The course played great. A couple of tee boxes on the back nine could use some love but had a great day of golf at a wonderful course. Would have given a 5 star but for those tee boxes.
Golf Now provided me with an excellent incentive to play Cypress Creek at a discounted rate, especially being a recently-furloughed government employee (on my "day off"). Cypress Creek offered some challenges I've not come up against during my short career (e.g., 570-600yd par 5 on hole 4)...what!!! Didn't play the course as well as I'd have liked but I'll be ready next time! Great Staff, as...
The course is very well kept. Greens were sprayed. Our group enjoyed our round and we look forward to going back.
The Greens were horribly slow unlike years past. The price was good. The fairways were in good shape. The greens, however, were beat up. For every 10 to 12 ft putt I had to fix at least 3 ball marks. Every put I saw my foursome hit bounced like a basket ball and the greens speed reminded me of the Smithfield downs days. There is a great course there but these guys need not get comfortable take...
Golf Now price was a steal! The course was in great shape, pace of play was not an issue, played with my wife and she was also happy(not overwhelmed). Would recommend this course to golfers of all levels.
The Cypress Creek Golf is my local favorite. The course is laid out to take the golfer in two big loops around lakes and marsh area's. The course is challenging to all levels of players and is beautiful to enjoy. The rate of play is faster than most courses and you don't feel like you are "on top" of others playing adjacent holes. With the special deals you can find on Golf Now it is very...
Cyprus Creek is a semi-private course. I rank if very high in play-ability and beauty (especially back-nine). I love the variety of holes and how quiet it is, overall. The cart paths are hidden behind mounds in landing areas which adds to the beauty of the layout. CC is normally in great condition with pristine/soft fairways and good greens. Have played it many times and keep coming back for...
Course is both playable and challenging for average golfer. It's in very good condition. Assistant pro is friendly and very helpful.
Starts with two easy par-4's,then a long dogleg right par 4.water on right of #4.#9 is short with steep green(green is in rough shape).back nine is ordinary until 15 thru 17.swing away on 18.
Cypress Creek is great. Fairly typical new course style with huge fairways and big greens. The black, blue and white tees give three very different views of the course and really do suit different skill levels. Course has a nice mix of long and short par 4s: 1, 9, 10 are all short fun holes but 3, 12 and 17 are monsters. All par 3s are reasonable distance....I can't stand 200+ yard par 3s. 3 of...
Overall the course played great, the course was recently aerated which was a minor setback.
The course was very good conditions besides the green, which were being aerated. Even so I thought they still rolled pretty well. For the price this golf course was the best I have gotten so far. And I would definitely go back
Enjoyed the Course. Great shape and friendly staff..
my first time to play this course. very well maintained and i enjoyed it very much except for the mayflies from 14 to 17.
This course has a rather unique layout for this area, but they had recently aerated the greens, but didn't have any signs up or any notification of such. Also, possibly the slowest snack bar in Hampton Roads
Course in Great shape, enjoyed the rolling scenic fairways. It is always a challenge and excellent outing playing Cyrpess Creek. It is my Grandsons favorite course in our area so we play there quite often. We feel like we are on a Pro-course when playing there know it will prepare us for our upcomming trip to M Beach. BC
Challenging course , great staff super friendly...
The course was in excellent condition. Putting and chipping area had sufficient range balls for pratice prior to playing. The course layout was challenging but not to overwhelming. Third trip on this track and I'm sure to return with the great deals offered through GolfNow.
Cypress Creek was a great course, great conditions, awesome hole layout, just it was quite the drive from Virginia Beach but for the great deal we got with GolfNow, it was well worth it!!!
Course was in decent shape for this time of year. It was a little slow but it was Sunday and windy. Overall, decent round of golf.
Used every club in my bag......great bang for your buck
Nice course, overall great greens, great pace. The staff was friendly. Nice practice areas
I recommend buying the $4 yardage book at the clubhouse if you don't have a range finder. Wish i had seen it before i started my round instead of after. In spite of my play i still managed to have a wonderful time. Greens were in great condition and fairways were what you expect for this time of year. The layout and course were memorable and enjoyable. If you've heard good things about this...
If you can get a discount rate on Golf Now, this course is worth the trip to Smithfield. Though the day didn't start well with a somewhat surly staff, the course conditions were very good for November and the Ault/Strange design is interesting visually and just the right degree of challenge if you pick your tee boxes correctly. Greens were in fine shape, quite fast and smooth though a couple...
Playing a round of golf at Cyprus Creek is just a pleasure. The course is always in great shape, the staff is friendly and the pace of play is the best in the area. The course has the most beautiful scenery in Hampton Roads. The holes run through lakes, rivers and tree lined fairways. The views of the surrounding fields and large homes are exquisite. All the holes are separated. Very relaxing....
