If excuses were dollars, Mr. Jones of Cutting Edge would be a very wealthy man! We paid in full and did not get a completed job. After the removal of eight trees, they did not grind the stumps as agreed upon. This was not without MONTHS of calling and asking him to come and finish the job! Oh, he had excuses! No shortage of those! He also had assurances of "first thing tomorrow morning." Still, he never showed up to finish the job for which he had been paid. As if that weren't enough...when he DID show up to take down the trees in the first place (which was not without excuses and delays), he destroyed the invisible fence system we had for our dog! We finally had to hire another company to remove the stumps that he left. Needless to say, not only would I NOT RECOMMEND this poor excuse for a business, I would issue an ALL OUT WARNING to all Hampton Roads residents to avoid this shady outfit at all costs!
We had 2 huge pine trees in our yard and they were covered in Ivy. We looked aound and got other quotes. We went with Cutting Edge Tree Service because they had good reviews and we liked David. They came and took the trees out quickly. Now we don't have to worry about them in the next storm. I highly recommend them to everyone in the area. (Our neighbor decided to use them too to get some limbs off his Oak tree.)

These guys do good work. I know because I've worked with them before on several jobs and David does an amazing job looking after his customers and coworkers.
Even in this heat this week, these guys took down 5 pines, came back next day, did a great job at clean up. Highly recommend.
hired cutting edge to do a job they started but never completed this was in December of 2014. I even still have a peace of their equipment in my yard. the owner David jones broke my fence by running over it with his bobcat promised to fix that as well but to this date he has been a no show. no stars wasn't a choice.

Cutting edge has not completed a job I paid for in full. I paid July 3, 2014 and have been lied to on several occasions by Mr. David Jones about them coming to grind the stump and had nothing but excuse after excuse. I only want what was agreed upon and what I paid for. Finish the job they got paid for. I would not use them or recommend them to anyone, terrible customer service.
Please do not hire this company! They repeatedly did not show up. They damaged my property and left a huge mess in my yard. Dishonest and unprofessional.

I had a HUGE water oak in my backyard that was dropping a lot of limbs. My backyard is really small with 2 sheds in it and cedar privacy fence all the way around, so not a lot of room to bring down the tree. They did a great job and didn't damage a thing. Received a fair estimate nearly a month ago ask needed to wait until payday to have a maple tree removed. This company hasn't returned any of my calls nor showed up at any of the three times that work was scheduled to start.
