Very good value.
Has microwave, full-size refrigerator, 2-burner stove, and hotel-size coffee maker. However, no pots, pans, dishes or silverware.
Limited coverage at the front desk, but a lit of contacts with one onsite provided.
Enjoyed myself comfortably it was a nice hotel with minimal interrupting noises
I have stayed at Crestwood Suites of Newport News, VA many times. An extended stay works well for me. I would have given it 5 stars.. But to my dismay I arrived Town Suites had taken over Crestwood. As I walked into the lobby there was a sign stating that the lobby would close at 11:00 p.m. Then there was another sign stating that the lobby is not open on Sunday. ??? I went to my room...
Where do i start, front desk gave us the wrong key, a drunk man came to the door after our numerous attempts to use our key, luckily he was not upset. Front desk apologized but we were not comfortable with what happened especially with my children with us.The hallways smelled like hampster and fecal matter. The noise from people upstairs and on our floor walking back and forth in the hallway...
You can hear EVERYONE around you
sports trip for my daughter, needed a place to stay for one night.
It was only a quick trip, stayed only a night. The room was a little noisy at night, can hear everything right through the wall. Altogether it was a nice place to stay.
The beds were hard and uncomfortable and the refrigerator was loud. If these problems were corrected, we would give the hotel a 4.5 star rating.
Good value for price. Friendly accommodating staff
Nice hotel, furniture and floors need cleaning. Not bad for price paid.
Hotel staff was beyond amazing!! Made my stay a lot more comfortable.
Bad smell in room. No pots and pans or dishes in kitchenette. No one to speak to about situation from Saturday night until Monday morning because the office is closed on Sundays. Even their customer service line didn't lead to speaking to someone and couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full.
My stay was brief but the customer service was outstanding. When I checked in they were training a young lady, but they were very nice. When I awoke to take a shower the water was cold. They end up refunding my money for the night and gave me the next night for half price. Nice!!
it was just great, a very clean and safe enviroment
Price for 2 nights was reasonable but you pay for what you get. Kitchenette with no cooking utensils, room clean but very worn; front desk gave me a key for a room on the 1st floor that was disgusting, went back and was told that they mistakenly assigned me to a room that's not being rented right now bc there's a leak from the room above it which explains why it smelled so bad. I asked for a...
We used the hotel because my son was competing in the Jr Olympics. The price was great and the room was clean on arrival. However, I never saw a housekeeper and our room was never replenished with fresh towels or washcloths. I also reserved the room because it advertised a fitness room that was not in service.
I did like the fact that there was a laundry room in site and that the room had a...
I stayed here some years ago and I must say it has certainly plummeted in quality. Upon entering the elevator, it was filthy and trash was all over the floor. When we got to the floor and the elevator doors opened, it smelled as if it were a totally unkept ward at a hospice facility. It reeked of bad body odors, what seemed like the smell of elderly feces, and some dollar store brand cleaning...
I booked a non smoking room but the room smell cigarette all night.
We didn't complain because we checked in about 12:00 am. (Room 422)
We were tired, need to take rest. The iron in the room didn't work. We couldn't iron anything. I liked the staff. They were nice and recommended me the good beach restaurant.
Me and my two kids stayed here while playing in a aau tournament and it was awful. My room smelled horrible and my son found a bug while showering. The front desk never answered the phone. Seemed like a neighborhood place to stay. Guess you get what you pay for. I checked out the next day needless to say.
I don't know if the good reviews for this dump are very old, or what??? What's wrong: our trash was not emptied once in four days, we did not get clean towels in four days (were told on checkout that we just had to come to the desk and ask for them, lot of good it did then), the carpet on the second floor hall was not vacuumed in the four days we were there, our floor was not vacuumed in the...
Very nice staff but when it came to how the room ACTUALLY looked and how it was "described on line" was a total lie. It's no longer called the crest wood suites it's now called in town suites PLUS. Me and my boyfriend traveled 12 hours to visit family and we only stayed here because it said it had a kitchenette with pots and pans and dishware. Lies ! We had to spend our OWN money on dishware so...
I spent two nights at the Crestwood suites and while the room was comfortable for a suite there were a few problems. The bed was very comfortable however the sheets were super think and the comforter was only one that covered part of the bed. They either need to provide a blanket or a full comforter because with the air conditioning, even on low, you need a cover on you beside the super thin...
The staff was inattentive, room smelt funny, dirty and the bed and bathroom were disgusting
when I first checked in I was given a key and went to my room, there was apparently someone already in there as the bed was un made and trash all over the place and the door was actually proped open with the lock. So I went back down and got a different room key. This room was better but definitly not cleaned right.there was 3 squares of toilet paper left on the roll in the bath room and no new...
Room wasn't in clean condition. Housekeeping was terrible. Cigarettes ashes left in the room and I asked for no smoking room. Someone hair was in the bedroom after being made. Hair coming out of vent in the bathroom.
The room smelled, dried on food stuck on the floor, bathroom walls filthy, old food stuck down inside the air conditioner/heating unit, pillows old & flat. Paid extra for a suite with a kitchenette & there were no dishes, no pots to use for cooking, no utensils, no paper towels absolutely nothing in the kitchen. I had to go out & buy plastic cups, bowls, utensils & napkins.
My husband & I...
More of a extended stay faility. No the bet for a overnigt stay.
Left the hotel and went and paid for another room at a different hotel. Outside is fine but inside was nasty/cheap/disgusting. I couldn't think of making my kids sleep there. The smell is terrible.
Suite kitchen had no dishes, pans, etc. Requested a blanket; no blankets in the hotel. Requested extra pillow; even though our room had a pull-out couch hotel had no extra pillows/linens. Room was moderately clean and in a great location.
This hotel did not meet the standards of any hotel that I have been a guest. The beds were not comfortable nor were the bed linens adequate (200 thread if that). The comfortor was only half of the entire bed. The floors were sticky and we had to repeatedly request toilet paper, soap etc. There is no room service available and when requesting something from the staff, some actually were not...
Once we check in all was well. I worked for the Marriott and what the guest wanted they got. I know there are changes being done. Long term short term the service could had been better.
I really like A'Ronda and I think Victor, they eased me and gave me a better understanding of whats going on.
The rooms have an awful smell. Not sure if pet smell, smoking odor or just nasty. Our team reserved 7 rooms and 5 checked out and moved to another hotel. The other two suffered through for one night.
My wife and I came in from Fort Bragg, NC, to spend the July 4th weekend in Newport News, VA. We spent two nights at the price of $65/night (usually goes for $55/night) because it was a holiday weekend. Location is close to town and many other sightseeing places. We made a trip to water country in Williamsburg and an another to King's Dominion from this hotel. Welcome service was impressive....
Room was clean and nice. The staff was pleasant and curious
I couldn't stop laughing from the moment I walked into the room. I expected it to be a little more welcoming but for the price I really can't complain but so much. It smelled like it hadn't been occupied in a while and the pillows were like sheets of paper and the blanket was a napkin. Nothing to it. The TV was super nice though. The refrigerator was really clean. It was "clean" overall just...
The room was just very outdated. It needed a new carpet, pillows were soooo uncomfortable, they only have housekeeping after you check out, you have to exchange towels to get a new one, and the room appearance needed some serious new decor. Sofa cough look soooo used and two different styles of chairs.
We were lucky, we got a room on a sold out day. The hotel was very busy, but the staff took time to help check me in and were very courteous. The room was a non smoking room, but it smelled like smoke. The room was very clean and functional. Since the hotel was sold out on rooms, we were not able to get an extra blanket, but we made do with the bed spread. This hotel is located right off of 64...
die Zimmer rochen äußerst unangenehm, sie wurden während unseres Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt,
der Teppich war schmutzig, die Kaffeemaschine "klebte" und auf dem Telefon lag zentimeterhoch der Staub
We were greeted by staff on the way into the door. Our room was ready so we were given early check in which was great coming off the road. But, our room smelled of smoke, the beds were uncomfortable, nothing's been updated. The best part was the really friendly staff and the location is good.
I enjoyed my stay there. The staff was very helpful
They didnt provide coffee in lobby nor did they have a coffee pot in the room. We ran out of toilet paper they had to take out of another room as the desk clerk said they were out.
I would only recommend if this was for long term stays, this hotel was more on the effiency appartments .
I stayed in this hotel years ago when it was just a month old. It was very nice. New is always nice, isn't it? Now it's not so new, and it's been converted from a Sleep or Comfort Inn to a Crestwood Suites. It's undergoing yet another change as it's being re-branded as an InTown Suites. I arrived on a Saturday & left on Wednesday. I only showered and slept here. I was in town for a funeral and...
The front desk clerk was awesome but that was the only good thing at this hotel. The hotel was very dirty and the room was worse. After asking to switch rooms becuase the one they gave us had full trash cans...we noticed the second one was not much better. There was stuff stuck to the mirrors, stove tops etc and no dishes or cookware when the room had a kitchenette. I will never stay here or...
The hallways smelled like garbage. The sheets Had corners stitched into them which made it hard to cover up and the neighbors were loud and awake in the middle of the night.
The room had a funny smell but everything else was good.
We were only staying for a night and got there really late and had to leave really early. We considered making food in our room to save time but there is not a way to make toast and there are no stores near by to purchase from. The hotel is easy to get to from the freeway so that was good. The layout of the room is good except the bathroom door is oversized due to room design so it was a little...
Requested a wake up call, no call. Alarm clock in room never went off.
No plastic cups in bath or kitchen. Only one chair for breakfast table in room.
36" door swings in to bathroom leaving little room to enter or exit, just misses the toilet.

It was nice to find a place that's pet friendly, but you need to let customers know that the hotel only allows one small dog.
It was pretty clean (the couch was very stained)--didn't sit on it.
Not fancy but did the trick in a pinch.
The overall hotel stay was fair. My family and I had to make several adjustments in our expectations. Hotel room needed an overhaul when it comes to cleanliness and odors. The hallway also needs air freshener. As a customer I should not have had to lower my expectations!!!!

I'm gonna save the calories and echo Seth completely, adding that the suites are kinda in the cut. So they're not really very close to the action whether...
You get what you pay for on this one. We were in town for a business trip and needed a place to stay. Most of the hotels were booked for some jazz festival,...
