Marriott is my favorite hotel brand, but Courtyard is not usually my 1st choice. I was pleasantly surprised. Hotel staff was very attentive and the entire hotel was clean and well maintained. Conveniently located near airport and I-64. Chain restaurants (Carabbas and Fudruckers) within walking distance was convenient after a long days at Busch Gardens and Water Park USA.
This hotel is my personal favorite when visiting family in Newport News. The staff is wonderfully nice and accommodating to my requests. The room was very clean, fresh smell and very modern. The lobby and coffee bar at the entrance are very inviting. You won't be disappointed!

I spend 75-85 nights a year on the road. The first thing I look for upon arrival is a smile from someone in the lobby. I got three, from different team members, so I felt good at the start.
Then I am always wondering, how clean will the property be? Obviously most guests expect a clean property....
This place is very fine and the bathroom is great. Hot shower,spacious room,soft bed, very absorbant towels and the rate would be attractive too if breakfast was included. But breakfast is extra here, thus you get no bread with one meatball.
Upon entering my room I was amazed to see just how large the suite was. Not only was there the standard couch, but 2 additional chairs and table in living room area.
Desk was multi-level which is great for me since I'm short! The bedroom and bath were also huge. I will definitely be staying there again.
