I had heard a lot about Club Soda. My fiancee and I met friends for dinner there and I was extremely impressed with the ambience of the restaraunt. The food was amazing and the presentation wonderful. The service was a little slow, but there was a large party demanding a lot of attention. I highly recommend a special night out at Club Soda.

Nice atmosphere too bad there was only one waitress working during restaurant week! The other was downstairs tending a private party. We're served our meals and I start to cut into my "prosciutto wrapped chicken" and it starts bleeding & is raw! Was sent back & after 15 min comes back, same piece of chicken & nothing more than a "sorry bout that." When our guest's dessert came, were chinsy servings of choc. mousse. Disappointing!

This sexy, upscale space with high-class snacks is known for its singles scene and cosmopolitan flair.

Great Club insiderpages.com

Club Soda is a great place for a special night out. The beef wellington and the flirtinis were amazing. We had a great night out with friends in wonderful atmosphere and had great service all night.

Good Kudzu

The food here is awsome. I love the way they changed things around, its better than ever and you should eat here!!!

Good Kudzu

Club Soda is a good place to go. A few years ago they would have gotten a negative review from me. They have changed things up now though.

exquisite food! Kudzu

i think they changed chefs, and this one rocked! the last chef maybe two years ago wasn't all that great! little pricey, but its worth it. the last few times i went in, there wasn't a ton of people, but...

Tasty & Expensive Kudzu

Great food & atmosphere but a little on the pricey side. Could be larger as well.

Only if you fit in Kudzu

If you don't fit in here don't go here. I felt very out of place when i went. Even though we were spending money they still made us feel like we did not belong.

We took my friend for her birthday and had a fabulous time. The food was superb. I liked everything, even stuff I normally detest. Everything on the menu looked yummy, ended up choicing the beef tenderloin, perfect even at medium heat. Get the spring roll appetizer and a martini. Trust me, it's all worth the price. Treat yourself.

Very hip, urban atmosphere with excellent food

Very chic, hip atmosphere with great ambience. Love all the cool blown-glass light fixtures and mini lights in the floor. The food was creatively presented and excellent. Very extensive wine menu. Good cocktails too. Great place for a small group or a date. One complaint: the service was on the slow-side.

Pros

+ Atmosphere, food

Cons

- Service

Yelp

Extremely loud - conversation is difficult even across a tabletop. Overpriced drinks. Snooty waiters. It is a "see and be seen" kind of a place.

In ShortThe sunny upstairs with its hardwood floors, and the dimly-lit downstairs with its moodier ambience each offer seating for about 50, between the bar stools and the booths. Those choosing to sit in the high-backed, velvet-covered banquettes that front the plain brick walls will find crowd-gazing is mandatory. This is the place to be seen in downtown Norfolk. 7 Eleven is down the street

A native New Yorker and restaurant owner, I was rather impressed with the atmosphere, drink selection and crowd at Club Soda and considered myself a regular there. I was appalled with the service, though, and now refuse to patronize the establishment. A friend of mine ordered a Red Bull w/ Vodka and recieved the following response ""7-Eleven is down the street...We don't serve that stuff here."" What kind of elitist response is that? Who did this bartender think he was? Is a Red Bull and Vodka not up to the high class standards of this upscale Norfolk martini bar? Give me a break. If...

I have eaten all over the world, and am constantly seeking creative foods exhitbiting extraordinary prepartion... Club Soda is equal to or better than ANY place I've EVER eaten. I look for every opportunity I can to cross the country (I live in California) to eat there... it is that good.

When you walk in you are reminded of the restaurants you've seen on tv...very hip, happening and now. You now have that chance to experince what cool really is; the atmosphere is on point and wonderful. The wait staff treated me better than I've ever been treated before. They remembered me and even remembered what I had ordered on my first meal with them, when I returned on my second visit at this wonderful establishment.

Pros

+ great drinks, seasonal menu
