We went here for NYE and it was a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and our service was great! Don't come here if you're in a hurry...come to sit back and relax and enjoy a few courses.

My daughter lives in Los Angeles and when she visits southern Maryland we always take her here. Cafe de artistes is literally a slice of heaven. Atmosphere is wonderful,food is always great. I met a friend for lunch. I ordered just a salad, but it was as big as a dinner plate! And was reasonably priced as well. Absolutely delicious; great service. And we sat and chatted for quite some time after we'd finished our meals, just enjoying the friendly ambiance here. We plan to return soon again.

The food here is excellent! Often there are unusual specials offered. We have never been disappointed. It's hard to list any one dish as our favorite as the menu changes frequently.

great food and handicap sensitivity

My husband has had a stroke and does not have use of his right arm. When the server realized this, she helped with the meal to make it easy for my husband. We have never had this sensitivity at a restaurant before. Oh, yes, as usual, the food was fantastic !!!

went ONCE - service was snobby and horrible. The food does not deserve the reviews it gets- ppl from Southern MD dont know good food. A lot that he makes is weird and not fresh tasting. He has a very over rated rep this chef.

Enchanting. We made reservations for the Cafe at 5 (which I def. recommend doing). They have a wonderful deal if you order by 6pm of an appetizer, entree, and desert (or two appetizers if you don't want a desert) for $21, which is not too bad for the amount of food AND FLAVOR that you get. The waitress was very nice and helpful for recommendations and the restaurant itself was enchantingly French.
