We went here for NYE and it was a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and our service was great! Don't come here if you're in a hurry...come to sit back and relax and enjoy a few courses.
We came here for our buddy's rehearsal dinner and was really impressed with the food and service. We got the grilled shrimp for the appetizer, cafe chicken for the main course and the chocolate...
The food and service are wonderful. My wife and I ordered off the Fix Prix Menu. A good by the glass wine selection.
I had a great dinner here with my husband last night. It was a quiet Friday night in southern Maryland. The ambiance was good. I eat out a lot and the food was the best that I've had in southern...
We are always pleased when dining at Cafe des Artistes! Rather it's 2 of us or 12, the food is always wonderful and the service excellent.
My daughter lives in Los Angeles and when she visits southern Maryland we always take her here. Cafe de artistes is literally a slice of heaven. Atmosphere is wonderful, food is always great. My husband and I like to go when there are specials for three course meals. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the area. Well worth the drive...
I met a friend for lunch. I ordered just a salad, but it was as big as a dinner plate! And was reasonably priced as well. Absolutely delicious; great service. And we sat and chatted for quite some time after we'd finished our meals, just enjoying the friendly ambiance here. We plan to return soon again.
The food here is excellent! Often there are unusual specials offered. We have never been disappointed. It's hard to list any one dish as our favorite as the menu changes frequently.
A wonderful relax atmosphere with French food. Can never go wrong with any of the entrees. Reasonable prices for the quality
My husband has had a stroke and does not have use of his right arm. When the server realized this, she helped with the meal to make it easy for my husband. We have never had this sensitivity at a restaurant before. Oh, yes, as usual, the food was fantastic !!!
We took a day trip and ended up in Leonardtown. We spoke to a local, and he said that there were several good spots for lunch, but this was his favorite. We had a Bison Burger with a side salad, and a Blue Moon beer. Everything was delicious, and after seeing the fries (frites) go by to another table, they...
I typically go here for special occasions; holidays, anniversary, birthday. The food is great as well as the service. It's a quiet restaurant and in a cute location.
Celebrated my upcoming birthday with friends this past Saturday, and, as usual, the place never disappoints! Many times we journey into the city (DC) to dine at one of the endless number of fine restaurants, but every time we go to Café des Artistes, we say, "Why?" when we have such an excellent place right here in our neighborhood!! Definitely...
Drove over from Virginia to celebrate our daughter's birthday with her.
My husband and I have dined
here before and liked it so
we recommended it for the occasion.
The service was superb - attentive but not intrusive allowing us to enjoy our family gathering. The food was excellent. My 15 month old grandson may have been the biggest fan....
Our favorite sprci as l plave, especially wh err m zgretvhen is there
Excellent in every way. It's as simple as that.
The food is excellent, the staff is friendly & engaged, and it is located in the center of Leonardtown overlooking the Square. What is there not to like?
We ended up at one of the area's best restaurant's - Cafe Des Artistes. We have had dinner here several times and it never disappoints. The chef consistently serves up fresh, quality, classic dishes with just the right amount of butter and heaviness that you expect from a good French restaurant. The ambiance is exactly what you want it to be; dark lighting, kitschy decorations, and friendly...
We come here for all our special meals,,, and they make it truly special
went ONCE - service was snobby and horrible. The food does not deserve the reviews it gets- ppl from Southern MD dont know good food. A lot that he makes is weird and not fresh tasting. He has a very over rated rep this chef.
Enchanting. We made reservations for the Cafe at 5 (which I def. recommend doing). They have a wonderful deal if you order by 6pm of an appetizer, entree, and desert (or two appetizers if you don't want a desert) for $21, which is not too bad for the amount of food AND FLAVOR that you get. The waitress was very nice and helpful for recommendations and the restaurant itself was enchantingly French.
Love the fries!. The fries are so crispy!!
Delicious, charming, and remarkably affordable for a fancy french place. We shared a bottle of wine, two entrees, and dessert - and the total came to $90 with tax and tip. Dinner was lamb chops and…
Stopped by here for lunch and was pretty impressed at their daily specials. I had a fried tilapia croissant sandwich that was pretty good, and a very delicious mushroom and corn chowder. The special…
I was born in Southern France and the Cafe des Artistes made me feel I was back in Provence. It is an authentic cafe and as we know all memorable cafes have their quirkiness. So the screen in front…
Pros:Nice staff, cool interior, interesting unique art and a great collection of old cameras. The menu is diverse and interesting.Recommendations:The bloody mary was just right. The French onion…
I've been here twice. The food is good (not a fan of French cuisine) but I have enjoyed both of my meals. The quantity served is perfect. I ...
