Help us make it rightStopped for a night, paid, went to room, walked out, went back to front desk to ask for money back. They refused, left. its gross, dirty and disgusting. Front desk is rude and just takes your money and runs.
Stayed at this hotel in November 2015 because I'm cheap, and this was the cheapest place around. It was a Priceline special, and for $56 + tax it was what I expected. Outdated, musty, drab, run down...but a place to sleep. Keycard wouldn't work to open the door, owner wouldn't transfer us to another room, and begrudgingly gave us a...
The Roadway Inn is a really decent hotel for the money. Yes, it is out dated, but it was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and they had a small continental breakfast. If your looking for a fancy hotel this isn't it. If your looking for a comfortable, clean hotel this one is for you. I had no trouble...
I booked this hotel for one night at this hotel. The room was smelling especially blankets and annoying files in the room. I had some office work in the morning, but I was really upset with files everywhere and no proper wifi (very slow) and mobile signal in the room. I received a call saying that my check-out is in...
The room smelled terrible and had dead smashed bugs on the walls and ceiling. Carpet was dingy and bathroom is 100 years old with peeling paint. The owners were argumentative. It was convenient to where we wanted to visit, but I would never stay there again.
Ok, this is not Shangri-La but for the price (even in the vacation season) it is a clean and comfortable experience. It is certainly on par (and cheaper) than the economy inns at the Maryland-Virginia border. It is close to two very good restaurants (Machipongo Clam Shack and Little Italy) and close to Exeter, Cape Charles and (about forty miles)...
Right on the main road, bathroom was clean and stocked and had a new tile floor. New flat screen TV in the room. Easy parking close to the room.
Hotel de paso, solo para dormir.
Very very rude! The lady at the front desk acts like you are. Bother to her! The place is falling apart the vending machines steal your money! This place is a joke and needs shut down!
Bugs in the bed....beware stay away from this hotel....drive the extra miles and stay somewhere worth staying at....
Hotel reservation services have this ranked 1- or 2-star, and I can see why.
First, I knew I was in trouble when my online directions sent me into a farmland/residential area, and I ended up nine miles back on the same highway after I finally reoriented myself.
Front desk personnel seemed very cold and indifferent, probably because I had booked...
The worst hotel ever!
We booked this hotel for 2 nights through Hotels.com. The first room we were given smelled really bad. The carpet was torn at the main door. The flooring in the bathroom was back with mole and coming up and actually rolling up from the floor at the bathtub. The handle to toilet was broken. I went back to the office and ask for another room. The manager gave me another key...
Gerade noch ausreichend.Frühstück mangelhaft.Zimmer sehr klein.Würde es nicht noch einmal buchen.
I stayed here with a couple family members for a weekend trip to the beach and had the worst motel experience here. I had a hard time finding the place and when I called, all I got was attitude. With no help from the owner, we found the place finally after ten min. Only two can use a two bed...
Hotel had a horrible smell that was so strong I had a bad headache after 5 min's in the room. I had them change my room, from downstairs to upstairs, the smell was still there but not as strong. Plus had some not so pleasant characters around the it.
The desk personnel were not friendly. They would not answer the phone when I tried to call, and I tried several times. Refrige was not plugged in so was not cold for my items. Bed linen was dirty. Television had little choices. No internet service.
However I stayed at an Enocolodge the next night that made this hotel seem like a Hilton.
Got stuck and needed a place with my kids for an unexpected overnight. For the $70 it was clean enough, more than convenient and safe. Rooms could use updates and such but then you'd be paying over $100/night. Perfect for a one-nighter..
If there is no where else to stay or you are looking for the best price and you only require somewhere to sleep - then it is doable. I have stayed in worse.
On rte. 13N another 10 miles you have A Holiday Inn and Days Inn among others. We made the mistake of staying here after a 1000 mile ride from Florida. After talking through 2 inch glass at 1:30 in the am it was another $10 for a double bed and NO late check out time [11:00 am].
There were no...
My stay at Budget Inn was horrible. The curtains was stained, no complimentary toiletries, and the linen on the bed was worn out with cigarette holes and wear and tear. There wasnt any movie channels worth watching to want me to just stay in and enjoy the room, plus the smell was unpleasant. It was a waste of money and put a damper on my visit.
This has to be the most wretched place I've ever stayed. You know it's bad when the staff hands you a taped up remote control when you check in. It reeked of curry and there were roaches scampering about everywhere. There was even a handmark (bloody, maybe? I didn't do a taste or sniff test) on the wall in our...
The room had a moldy smell, and the AC was quite noisy, but it looked clean and the beds were big and comfortable... I also was expecting to see a couple more power outlets.
Mngr tried a fast one and gave me a smoking room.
Spent last Saturday night there as a stopover after driving from Myrtle Beach to visit family on VA's lower Eastern Shore. Should have bit the bullet and driven another 3-1/2 hours home. The nearby chain hotels were booked so we took a chance on the Budget Inn. My husband and I were traveling with our teenage son and his friend,...
The room was clean and comfortable--OK for one night. HOWEVER--we had a problem with the lock on the door adjoining two rooms, and the staff didn't even want to fix it! We had to insist on it, since there weren't any other rooms available. They said, and I quote, "don't worry, the other people are probably asleep by now." Needless to say, we won't stay again, and can't recommend. Also, the...
So a friend and I booked a late hotel due to playing a golf tournament at nearby Bay Creek. This hotel is about 20 mins. north. Now I usually look for the positive but I will get to that later. The office smelled like a very dirty shower. After getting the key the beds were hard and I noticed 3...
We checked in late at night, and the location was desolate. It had rained earlier, and the wooden stairs were very slippery. The room was clean, but the passage door was misaligned to the point that we were unable to latch it, posing a serious security issue. When we went down to the front desk to request a different room,...
Rate was great. Overall stay was gross. There was no microwave until I had to ask for it and the cord tip broke off the lamp in the room. The staff's attitude was dry and non friendly. All the other descent hotels were full. The carpet to the ice machine was badly stained and looked terrible. The wooden rail that lead up to the rooms need to be painted. Nassawadox,VA
The receptionist was not at all friendly or accommodating. This place has the worst service. Only good for a place to crash overnight if you're passing by to break a long road trip.
I reserved a room through Kayak showing up late in the evening, about 9 PM. The manager looked at me like I had two heads when I told him my name and that I had booked a room for the evening. He then went right to a slip with my information, asked me how many people, handed me a room...
very simple, not very clean, not much polite communication from the staff. But works for quick overnight stay
The hotel was basic. It was not as clean as it could have been. I cleaned a stain off the bathroom wall. The staff was not friendly nor were they helpful. They knew very little about the surrounding area.
Worst Hotel ever, I would call it worst than a motel. Travelocity made a mistake with the price and the reservation; once I realized everything was wrong and I looked at the place...I wanted to run away. I refused to pay them and decided I would take it up with Travelocity, and I was told that if I did not...
This hotel is a dump and ruined our vacation passing through The Eastern Shore Of Va...The carpet was dingy, the bed had a stain on the sheet,no clean towels,an air freshner hanging from the ceiling..There was no hair dryer and even soap..The manager we spoke to was extremely rude and nasty when confronted about our room condition..He threw a temper tantrum...
My stay was a nightmare... The rooms are discusting. Toliet keeps running. No clean towels the second day. They promised on the website that there was a blow dryer, coffee pot, alarm clock, iron in the rooms but there was none. The free wifi don't even work. They only give you one room key. The breakfast is only doughnuts purchased...
We were traveling with our kids looking at the area considering a move to the VA Eastern Shore. We were greeted by a horrible front desk person who grilled us about having extra people and how we better pay up the extra $5 (we had no additional people!). The room was dingy and my kids put wet towels on the...
Very rude foreign man running the hotel. I got a room that was musty (probably because they don't set the A/C when nobody is in the room and it was 95 degrees) and it affected my allergies - literally could not breathe. The man said I was in the room too long to move to another, even though I was...
Upon arrival we requested a late check out (as this was a benefit for being a member of the America's Value Club) This was not granted by the owner Our room was in another building at least 50 yards from the main inn, with no ice machine available. For ice you would need to drive or walk at least 50...
After a long drive from NJ, we needed a place to sleep Friday night 4th of july weekend, we didn't have a reservation & stopped at 3 chain hotels at 10 o'clock at night with the kids getting crankie & mom & dad tired our last stop was Americas inn they had a few rooms left, it was pricey what...
We had booked this hotel online, choices are limited in this part of the island.
The front desk was very unfriendly, the room very smelly and the bathroom dirty.
Free internet only worked outside the room. They do charge for additional people but don't provide additional towels, soap etc. unless you insist.
We did enjoy a great dinner at El...
This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The problem wasnt with the hotel room itself but with the staff. The manager, from what I understand, it an older lady but she was nice. There is a foreign man who works there, I'm not sure what nationality. He is absolutely rude and has no customer service skills...
I have stayed here only because it is the only one our company will allow usto stay at. The rooms are not very well cleaned. the beds need replacing and the smell in these rooms is awful. I need to leave the door open so the fresh air comes in . The manager and his family live here and are...
I was traveling with friends and they booked this room for me. We got in about 11P at night and the 1st thing that was shocking were the spider webs with very large spiders all along the railings of the balconies to the second floor. Upon entering the rooms the first thing we noticed were the floorboard things not actually...
We have stayed there the last three years simply because we travel with two dogs. Thank God we found out the Best Western in Onley, VA allows pets (despite what the website says). The price range is totally off. We paid over $120 for a small room each time, and we only stay one night (on our way to Outer Banks). The rooms were dirty, especially bathrooms. There is no toilet paper roll,...
This was probably the most disgusting motel I have ever stayed in. It was late at night and I was driving South down Route 13. Wish I had never stopped but I was falling asleep at the wheel!I was absolutely grossed out by the place. Room reeked of smoke and was dirty dirty dirty! I dont know what you call...
