this place is awsome from the time you walk through the door to the time you leave. the staff was very well trained and very personable. i loved the seafood everything tasted amazing, and was presented perfectly. i would recomend this place to everyone.
I have to disagree with one of the reviews on this page that said the restaurant is run-down with over cooked vegetables and such. I went for dinner a few nights ago and I was completely impressed with the atmosphere. The dining room is especially classy with white tableclothes, carefully folded napkins, and nautical-themed artwork from a local artist. The decor is simple so the focus is not...
Took a visitor there from out of town and we were both very pleased. I had the stuffed pork chop and she had the sea bass, both were excelent! The service was promt and friendly and the atmosphere was great. We have both eaten at some of the finest restaurants on the East and West coast and this place ranks right at the top. Would highly recomend to anyone.
Pros
+ Great food, service, and atmosphere.

The Blue Crab used to be a classy, gourmet seafood and steak restaurant with creative specials featuring fresh fish. Within the last year it has changed to a gloomy run-of-the-mill fried food place. Cold mashed potatoes, overcooked veggies, mediocre entrees. The prices are way too high for what you get now. Go for the view, or the cranberry cornbread, but don't expect the 'old' Blue Crab menu...
I had been to the Blue Crab previously and it was great. This time the seafood platter portions were much smaller not as tasty and the waitress dumped a tray of wine glasses on the floor near my feet. Other patrons and myself got a foot wine bath.
THE BLUE CRAB, VERY NICE atmosphere located in a marina. It is hard to see from the main road so you have to naviagate yourself down into the Marina itself. Although I have not been there for dinner. We went for a saturday breakfast buffet, which was quite nice, it was small but very adequate the food was hot and the service was great although you can help yourself the waitress made sure there...
The food at this restaurant was fabulous. I really enjoyed the cranberry cornbread that was a different taste. The staff was very friendly and was there when I needed something. One can either sit in the inside or on the deck and look out on the marina. I give Blue Crab an A++++ for the experience I had at the restaurant.
The Blue Crab has a great view but tries to seat you in the back of room first. The wait staff appeared bored and not happy to be there. The menu was very limited with only a dozen or so entrees at $20 average price. The food was mediocre at best. Broiled fish plate with crab patty was dry and no flavor. The best item on the plate was frnech fries and spaghetti squash. Plate presentation seemed...
This establishment is in my neighborhood. The restaurant overlooks the marina and is nicely situated at deck level with a gorgeous view. This review is of the lunch meal. I had the crab-cake sandwich, others in my party had fish & chips and hamburger. All of these items were very well prepared, attractively served, and delicious. Service was friendly and efficeint. All of our selections were...
Adequate – Friendly staff, plenty of outdoor seating. Food was a mixed bag... Shrimp & scallop Rockefeller was tasty, with nice large shrimp and a abundance of scallops, but we couldn't find the bacon that was advertised as being in this dish. Very messy to eat if you try to get every morsel out of the shrimp tail shell. The seafood platter was mixed. The flounder was excellent, if a little bony as were the hand cut calamari (though no bones in those). The shrimp was tasty, but few. The scallops were dissappointing, but that may have been the breading. The crab cake was decent - better than...

This was my first visit to Blue Crab and certainly won't be my last. We were seated by the window with a beautiful view of the marina. Wednesday night is half-off a bottle of wine night and we enjoyed a delightful bottle from a local Eastern Shore winery. I highly recommend the crab cakes, served with black bean and corn salsa. The crab cakes were loaded with crab and served along side coconut...
It was so nice to sit on the patio overlooking the marina and enjoy such nice service and wonderful food. I was so impressed with both the wine list and with the excellent martini list. Two thumbs up.
Pros
+ Wine list, Fresh Seafood, View
Tasty new menu and great view...most of all my wife loves it.

This place used to be my favorite seafood joint until I saw the cook *ticking on the fish. After he put awway his trouser snake, he washed his hands in the oyster stew. And another thing, the special seasonong in the flounder bisque is a hefty helping of dog *crud. The cheese is comes fresh from the chef's sweaty nutts. *dump this *crudhole....I'm eating at Long John Silvers. At least the...
My husband and I love this place! The service is great, and the food is outstanding . . . and we are very tough critics. Whenever we are in Norfolk, we will definitely visit The Blue Crab! (The shrimp savoy and crabcakes were excellent!)
Try the fresh Oyster Stew- it's great! Makes the whole night worthwhile!
