We contracted with them few residential and rental properties termite and pet control since July 2017. They did not do the job.
They also are crooked and dishonest.
1. I gave them my credit card for initial contract. They kept auto debit duplicate payments two in one month and there after. I told them I was not authorized the charges and they was over charge.
I called back few times. Their office manager told me that their manager would call me back. I have never revived any phone call from the manager.
2. Moreover, they have over charged my money and promised to refund, but never did. They also have not installed any termite monitors on my properties.
3. I called them told them about they kept charging me, but have not installed the termite monitor or came to visit to do the pet control. They said they did. I told them my house have video camera and can be proved. The office manager told me again. The owner/manager will contact me. Again, never did.
4. In the contract they promised to treat the roaches, aunt, mouse, rat, hornets and wasps. When they came the initial 1st treatment after the contract was signed, they said they did not do mouse, rat, hornets and wasps.
I called these guys on a Monday morning with some pest problems that showed up over the weekend. By 12noon they were at my house and handle things. Above and beyond! I'm impressed!
Customer service is awesome at Bioguard, they always call before my service is due along with sending me an Email reminder. Seems now that they are under new management, things have only improved. Thanks BioGuard

Products they use attract more bugs. Never ending contract with no guarantee of work. Requires a ridiculous cancellation letter to be put in 30 days ahead of time along with a $50 ETF. All their business is door to door. Anyone online can see their poor reviews, poor bbb rating, poor angies list rating.
I have researched this company after meeting the branch manager at the Hampton home show recently, very suspicious reviews. BBB rating is F, why ?
The BBB rating for BioGuard is an F? The Angie's list rating is a D? The other branches in Nashville TN,Boise ID, Manassas VA and Provo UT have been shut down for various reasons. The Hampton Roads community deserves better.
I have nothing but good Service for the last 3 yrs from the Virginia Beach branch of Bioguard. They never charge me for a reservice or for getting the spider webs down off the House. Been a Customer since early 2010 and I can't think of any problems I have had at all with. Had a different local company before, had nothing but problems. With Bioguard though, I am happy and I will remain a customer for a long time!

Q: How did you become a pest control salesman?
A: I was in Alaska and I called my buddy who was in California, and he told me he was doing a job as a door to door salesman. He told me to come join him, so I did.
The company put us up in this small apartment complex in Thousand Oaks. They gave us like a $500 stipend, which was like a loan until we could pay it back. And the apartment, utilities, and cable were all paid for. The place was really nice too—it had like two gyms, two pools—it was posh. I almost felt like I ripped them off.
All of the people I lived with were devout Mormons. I’m not Mormon, I’m not religious, I’m nothing. It was like one giant social experiment. I learned a shitload about Mormons. This company recruited Mormons through the wazoo. Mormons are born and bred salesmen—once you’ve sold religion, pest control is nothing.
Anyway I didn’t know what to expect. I shared a room with my buddy—with Mitch. Mitch dropped out two weeks later though.
Q: So what kind of thing did you do on a daily basis?
A: First thing we do, we drive to Chatsworth, like 45 minutes away. I live in a small town that is like 18 miles of road, so driving 45 minutes just seems f@!%!*g insane to me.
You knock on doors till noon, and then start again at 4:30 when people are coming home from work. You knock till around 8.
Q: How did you know where you were going to sell each day?
A: The team leaders had map books and they would mark off the areas where we should go. They give you each an area and then we knocked alone.
Q: What did the bosses do all day?
A: My main boss, I think he chilled at home all day.
There’s the potential to make a lot of money—like 30 or 40 grand in a summer. My boss made 80 grand.
You try to attach people to these yearly contracts and that’s where you make the money.
We had this other sleazebag boss who told us how to improve our sales, but it basically consisted of him telling us how great he had done the summer before.
Q: So what’s your spiel when someone answers the door?
A: Basically you open and close with a lie. Like, “Hi, I’m a pest control inspector and we’re working on your neighbor’s yard, and they have lots of ants or black widows…”
Q: Which is a lie? What if they ask you which neighbor?
A: You say, “Oh, Dave Johnson down the road,” unless you actually have contracts from the neighbor in your hand.
Q: Are the Mormons allowed to lie?
A: They can’t have caffeine and can’t watch R-rated movies but they didn’t have problems throwing down a few.
Q: And what qualified you to be a pest control inspector?
A: You’re gonna love this. You have to take a class, a one-day class where you had to identify bugs.
They give you a little certification card and everything. In California you’re not legally allowed to identify bugs unless you have this card.
Q: Do you remember the names of any of the bugs?
A: Oh man… lots of ants… carpenter ants, red carpenter ants, Spanish flies… Oh wait, that’s like a male aphrodisiac or something. Scratch that. Umm… cockroaches, black widows…
Q: Aren’t black widows dangerous?
A: Oh, people are vindictive as hell. There are people who just want to f@!k with you. They’ll show you a black widow’s nest, like come on in, look at this…
I can spot back widows a mile away. There is no pattern to their web and once in a while one will crawl up your leg and bite you.
Q: Can’t they kill you if they bite you?
A: I think if they bite you close to your heart or something. But you can get it treated. It happened to me twice over the summer.
Q: What did you do?
A: You’re like, “Bye, I gotta go.” Then I call my boss, he comes to pick me up and I gotta go to the hospital.
Q: Ok, so you knock on someone’s door and they let you in.
A: Unless you’re an attractive female they won’t let you in. You always stay on the front porch.
I’ll look around the doorway to see if I can spot a trail of ants, or a gecko floating around is a good indicator that there’s lots of bugs around.
Everyone has an ant problem in California. California is one big anthill.
Q: Really?
A: It’s absolutely true—it’s an anthill. That was always a big selling point.
If I found somebody who had cockroaches I was set—nobody f@!%!*g likes cockroaches. My catchphrase pretty much used to be, “If someone tells me they have cockroaches, I’ve already made the sale.”
Anyway, ninety nine out of a hundred people tell you to get lost. If I ever met people and they said, “Describe your job,” I would say, “I’m the guy whose door you’re slamming in his face.”
Rejection was my constant companion. But I was never afraid to ask a girl for a date again.
Q: This sounds depressing.
A: Yeah, there were like thirty people at the beginning of summer and seventeen at the end. It takes a LOT of will power to keep doing it. Sometimes my buddies and I would always just take off and drive to the beach…
Q: So if someone said yes to your services, did you have the pesticides strapped to your back and then you started spraying or something?
A: No, we’re just salesmen. We carry a clipboard of information and a pen and wear our company shirts.
Q: Did people ever do anything meaner than just slamming the door?
A: One old man called the cops on me.
Q: Why? What did you do?
A: In Simi Valley you had to have a solicitor’s license to sell door-to-door but our boss would send us anyway. Sometimes people there would ask us for our license and if we didn’t have one they’d call the cops.
The same cop picked me up three or four times. His name was Dean—I got to know him on a first name basis. He’d drive me to the city limits and drop me off.
Q: Did he put handcuffs on you?
A: The first time he cuffed me, straight up. But no prosecutor would take that case. The second or third time he was like, “Get in the back.”
Q: I don’t think I’ve ever been in the back of a cop car.
A: Oh man, those seats were as uncomfortable as you can get. They were like these molded plastic seats—like elementary school plastic seats. And there was the fence in front, and of course you can’t open the back doors from the inside.
Q: The more you describe this whole thing, the more I think maybe I signed up for this kind of thing a few years ago. And now I feel like a bit of an idiot.
A: Well you are giving people a service but you are also lying to them. It’s really the same service no matter who you call though. The chemicals are all the same.
If it makes you feel better, it made me feel bad. I mean, I’m not THAT guy. I did it for the summer but in September I didn’t want to continue so I packed up and went home.
We have been with Bioguard Pest Control going on 2 years and I have only GREAT things to say about Greg Smith, who operates the Virginia Beach location, but every Technician we have ever had has been PHENOMENAL! We started with him due to a RAT issue in our backyard - which he QUICKLY eradicated. The following year it was ANTS ... and they were EVERYWHERE - Inside and Out, and he took care of them also. I get service every other month, but if I need something in between they come out AT NO CHARGE and take care of it.
If you need an Exterminator .... Look to BIOGUARD and Greg Smith and his Team. You won't be sorry.
No matter what you may read, hear or think this Bioguard Pest Control, LLC is, just know this : They are all about getting you to sign the "contract" . Once you sign the contract , they attempt to "service"you before the 3 day rule provided by Virginia Law. Your service will cost you more than 3 times the discounted price in the "contract", which is actually illegal under Va. law. , But if you do not fight them,well you lose! You MUST READ the fine print of the "contract", about the only way out it ,is if you are in the Armed Forces. Bioguard will hold you to the"contract" you will pay dearly if you cancel.Do not go by what is told to you, the fine print is what matters. In my case, I purchased the service for my parents ,who are in their nineties and still living independently. The company charged me for the service and them also. That's right they double charged and the ant problem they had still existed. I did better with ant bait from the local hardware store! If a few people are happy with the service they have received from BPC,LLC. good for them. But if someone is knocking on your door, trying to sell you a service , there a reason. Word of mouth ain't working for them. Bioguard is selling contracts, and actually a prime target for a class action law suit, their operation is more about working the number and collections, than providing a high quality service. The motto: Some will, Some won't, SO what, fits them well. Once they know you are on to them, they could care less ! My advice DO NOT FALL for the sales pitch. And those that did, join forces and protect other from this kind of deception. (Edited June 23, 2012)
We had an ant problem last summer and they came in and they were gone, but most of all we are a military family and we got orders to move, they cancelled the agreement, No problem.
We bought the service 2 years ago, completed the TEN required services with no issues. Then they show up without calling and charged for a service that we thought we were done with. We called and spoke with the manager it turns out when you sign a contract with this business you are NEVER done unless you send a request in writing to say TERMINATE my services. The remainder of the phone conversation with the manager, who has "30 years experience" did not go so well. We have filed a complaint with the BBB and WILL get some resolution to get our 75.00 back. DO NOT GET FOOLED INTO THE CONTRACT!!!

We were on a contract...every time they sprayed, it seemed to make no difference in the ants/spiders in and around our house. Absolutely pathetic!! Sprayed and still have bugs. Asked for them to come back out, said "sorry, you cancelled your service, we can't come back out". What a joke. Cancelled your service because it doesn't work, why continue to give you money for nothing?? Not once did you ever spray the interior of my home. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of your services, what little they are.
The salesman are very deceitful when explaining their services. I told them I only wanted my house to be sprayed ONCE. Now it is on me that I signed the stupid contract, but they should have explained that I would have to use their services every three months. Not only that, but we are moving to an area where they do not service and we have talked to THREE different people who give THREE...

Do not do business with this company the salesman are decietful so before signing anything make sure to read the full contract because the salesmen will lie to you. They are coming back for a 3rd time to redservice my home becuase I am now experiencing more of a problem then I ever had before I signed up for thier service! I was assured by the salesman that there would be no cancellation fees...
Absolutely bad experience!!! Tried to have the agent arrive at my house on a weekend and could not get anyone of the agents to make this happen, was constantly told that they had to call it in to teh home office and they would take care of the rescheduling.

The salesman lied about services and said whatever to get you to sign the contract. Then the tech comes and sprays the first time. BEWARE...They knock on your door and tell you they are all organic, and then send an unregistered technician to complete the service with BIFENTHRIN a common over the counter pest control. This company is a scam and should be under investigation.
We have been customers for a few weeks and they scheduled a termite inspection, moisture and fungus were discovered in the crawlspace.
