Very pleasant stay

Enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and the location was close to a lot of local attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our short weekend getaway!

Clean and comfortable

Hotel employees were nice and curteous. Pool was huge. Breakfast layout was mediocre, needs inprovement. Room was cozy and clean. Microwave and fridge in room (we stayed is 232). Bathroom vanity was pretty with an additional cosmetics mirror. If I'm in the area in the future I will stay here.

Good option for location, budget and parking

Very nice location and plenty of paring slots, breakfast is basic (egg, juice pastries, bread, butter,..coffee, tea,..) but it is more than enough and served around 7am, the staff is very cooperative, opposite side there is a huge cheap supermarket, it is not a luxury hotel but clean and organized, thank you.

Clean, good value

The hotel is clean, has a heated pool, good breakfast in the morning with eggs, bacon, yogurt, waffles etc. There's a fitness room, laundry facilities, vending and ice. The beds were comfortable and each had 4 pillows!!
Minor issues like not perfectly painted, rust in certain places. If your looking for RESORT type quality look somewhere else. We are already...

Decent for the price

This hotel is pretty nice. The lobby decor is nice. The rooms are small, but clean. The mattress was pretty uncomfortable, but pillows were nice. The breakfast was decent. Stayed Friday through Monday... there was apparently a high school soccer tournament during the weekend which caused breakfast to be a bit crowded. We like the best western plus hotels. We find super friendly front desk staff and this was no exception. We had a nice room, great price and an indoor pool. Breakfast was your standard fare for a hotel. The price was great and we would stay again.

Quick getaway

Hotel was very well kept and clean in all areas !! Very accessible to plenty of restaurants and shopping. Check in / check out was easy. The only disappointment i had was the breakfast didn't have variety of non pork products

This hotel is well situated close to the historic area. Rooms were very clean, well equipped. Hotel lobby was very impressive and inviting. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the nicest GW's I have stayed at. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away.

Never a disappointment

This was my third visit to this hotel. And, once again, it did NOT disappoint. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for visiting the Visitors Center and historic town. (Not to mention nearby Jamestown and Yorktown.) And the price was extremely affordable. The indoor pool and hot tub are delightful...

Great break

This stay was exactly what my family needed. The customer service was great. We enjoyed the variety of things they had for breakfast. My only wish was that the gym be brought up to date. The equipment didn't work.

Just a Little Off

Great location close to Colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The lobby is bright, open and modern promising fun rooms to come.
But our room was quite small and dark, dark brown carpet, small grey uncomfortable sofa and a small window half blocked by a dark roof. One of the lights...

Breakfast ok,not great but staff friendly.
Good location for visiting Williamsburg

What a contrast! On our two week driving vacation in mid-March Best Western Plus in Williamsburg was not only the best (included breakfast) for the number of options available and nice hot servings but variety from day to day. We booked this hotel as a package deal with room, tickets to Colonial Williamsburg and a $50 gift card to use there. We are Best Western loyalty members as well.

Great value and a convenient stay

This hotel is great for families with children. The hotel indoor pool is much bigger than your average hotel pool, and the breakfast was fantastic. The decor in the main areas of the hotel is updated and decorated nicely. The bedrooms are clean and good enough.

Nice stay

Stayed here for the night with my son for his bday. Took advantage of a Groupon. The room was clean and the staff were helpful. It was as quiet as any typical hotel would be. Standard continental breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub (although the jets weren't working). No complaints, close to the outlets.

We returned and will come back again

It's been a few years since we stayed at this location. There appears to have been come improvements. The rooms were nicely maintained. The staff was friendly. The free breakfast was generally fine and varied. We only experienced one time when the breakfast area had too many people, but otherwise the traffic there was fine. The location is terrific, the...

Location, Comfort, Service, Add-ons - Great Value

Front Desk Staff were very pleasant, caring, and eager to please us. I mentioned very loud neighbors and without asking she moved us to a room with no neighbors. CENTRALY LOCATED

We spent three nights at the BEST WESTERN Plus Historic Area Inn in Colonial Williamsburg. This is a modern hotel located very close to the attractions, restaurants and shopping.
The have a good complimentary breakfast.

Overnight quick trip

Good location to everything in the area! We stayed overnight after a surprise trip to busch gardens with our kids! Hotel is clean, updated! Staff was nice and friendly! The free breakfast was pretty good! Lots of options! Bed was ok, not to hard not to soft. The room is the quiestest room ive ever been in! Almost to quiet!

Excellent hotel and staff

It's a great location in Williamsburg. It's close to all the destinations you would like to visit. You're greeted with a smile and a staff that is nothing less than an A plus. If you're looking for a place to take care of you and enjoy your stay in Williamsburg this is the place

Specific points to know

We were here for a few days in December 2016. The hotel is older so not all rooms are updated. The second floor is the only floor that is updated and has two queen beds in a room. There are also king rooms on this floor. The breakfast is ok with a decent cup of joe, fruit, eggs some bit...

One night only

We went to the hotel pretty late after the Christmas Town closed in Busch Gardens. Easy check-in, we got rooms right in front of the elevators. Great hotel. Clean room. Good food

This hotel is within 3 minutes of Colonial Williamsburg's Visitor Center. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast area was designed poorly and way too small.
The staff was friendly for our entire stay.
We will definitely be back.

Great place for visit to Busch gardens

Great location for a visit to Christmas town which is closeby. Staff was super nice. Lobby was modern and updated & beautifully decorated for Christmas. - Beds were comfy - breakfast has room for improvement - overall a nice stay!

Great Option for the Price

This hotel is in nice shape and, for the price, it was excellent. We were greeted warmly at reception and our room was very clean. Great Hotel

We decided to stop over in Williamsburg to sightsee while traveling home. This hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly. The beds were so comfortable and had plenty of nice pillows. The breakfast bar was hot and fresh. Location is excellent. Close to all attractions.

Very good value

I found the hotel to be very clean the staff were always courteous and responded in a polite professional manner at all times. Shop till you drop

I came to shop and spend the night. The hotel was very clean and friendly. It was easy to get to from the outlet mall and it was also close to Merchant Square...but not walking distance. I would like to come again! I bet it is beautiful in the winter too.

Fine weekend

Please stay here close to any thing good beds good pool the staff is very helpful you can have breakfast their but get out to old mill restaurant use pool it is very nice so is whirlpool good place to call hom.

Recent stay in Williamsburg

Hotel located close to tourist areas and very reasonably priced during the weekday nights but prices doubled on weekend nights. Hotel was clean, staff were helpful, room was comfortable. Breakfast could have been better stocked.

Overall, a good experience and wonderful staff

Overall, a very postive experience. The problem was the inability to run the a fan on the a/c and heating unit in the room. It was annoying to have the fan cycle on and off all night. Would of liked to run the fan all night to help with the outside noise. Also, no fan in the bathroom.

history getaway

This hotel need serious updates. Every piece of furniture was scarred, beat up and uncomfortable. The beds were too small and mattresses so uncomfortable we had to split up and use both beds just to get some sleep after four hours of tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. Most everything did appear to be clean although stained and discolored....

Williamsburg Getaway

We have stayed at this Best Western several times over the years and really enjoy our visits here. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is varied, plentiful and tasty. We already have reservations for a stay in December and look forward to this next visit.

Close to Historic Williamsburg

The hotel front desk staff was very pleasant. Discount tickets for Williamsburg are available at the front desk. The room was clean. Close to the areas of interest. Had to check out one day early and the front desk person inquired if it was due to anything wrong with the hotel or hotel service. I assured her it was not.

Pros and Cons

We stayed in room 312. See pros and cons below as well as a summary of my opinion.
Pros:
The free breakfast is definitely good. Fruit, sausage, french toast sticks, eggs, breads, etc. If you are looking to save money on breakfast this is a great spread. The lobby area is really pretty and modern looking.

Good value

This was a GOOD value for the money. If you are looking for a clean place to stay this is it, for what my husband and I were looking for. Now, it is not a place with a lot of frills but we were not looking for elegance. We were just wanting a clean place with daily housekeeping. You can...

Okay

Unable to get into room because battery dead on door. Had to switch rooms. Picked this hotel for free breakfast. Errr. Coffee bad and eggs bad. If you just want toast and cereal....woo whoo. Key card still temperamental. Bed hard. Pool and jacuzzi not crowded. Room clean.

Would Not recommend

The show head did not work well, the tub stopper was broken and we had to wedge something under it to keep it open. The beds were so hard we were both sore the next morning. We were only there 2 night and it was just so uncomfortable.

Will Stay Again

We enjoy this hotel. It's nicely furnished and good staff. It's convenient to many places to eat and tourist attractions. The eggs on our last visit in the spring were awful and we went elsewhere for breakfast this time.

Highly recommended

A highly recommended hotel which provides at a decent price big and updated rooms, comfortable beds and a good breakfast. This was the only best western hotel that we enjoyed our stay in it during this trip and can be considered equivalent to other brands.

Clean room, good rate

Very clean room, bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water. Great location for visiting Colonial Williamsburg as it is only a mile away. Many restaurants and stores within a mile, and a Cracker Barrel and Golden Corral across the street. Breakfast was good with the usual hotel fare: eggs, meat, waffles, cereal, breads, yogurt, coffee, juice. All was fresh...

A great place to stay for visiting the colonial triangle (Jamestown, Williamsburg, Yorktown) and not overly expensive. Their breakfasts are very good and the staff is friendly. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Everything in the room worked (hair dryer, microwave, refrigerator, etc.) For the amount of time spent in the room , if was perfect.\n\nIf there was one down side, it was that everything in the breakfast area was white. Tables, chairs, floor. A bit much.

Rooms definitely need to be update and our tub drained extremely slow like it was clogged. But I'll tell you the staff here is phenomenal. Ciarra, Miss Mary, Vanessa and I know I'm missing a few names. And I mentioned everything on trip advisor that the staff here at the Williamsburg Best Western verses The Best Western in VA Beach on Northampton Blvd blows them away. Every Best Western like in...

We have stayed at this Best Western three or four times in past when visiting Williamsburg/Busch Gardens and we never want to stay anywhere else. The staff has always been so nice and accommodating (every single time). The rooms are always clean and are a good size. It is a great location for visiting Water Country and Busch Gardens. I cannot say enough about the amazing staff. Last year when...

We liked that it was centrally located near many attractions in Williamsburg as well as stores and restaurants. The free breakfast was pretty good for being included with the stay. They had many food choices as well as several juices.\n\nI would have preferred to have the sink/mirror area outside of the bathroom area. We found one clerk came across a little abrupt/almost rude and we...

The hotel provides coffee all day long. The best thing I like is the breakfast - running from 7 am to 10 am, with lots of varieties: milk, yogurt, waffle, bread, muffin, hot dog, meatloaf, Scrambled eggs, cereal, juice, coffee and tea, etc.\n\nShort stay with check in @ 4 pm and check out @11 am, while I usually check in @ 2 pm and out @ 12 pm in other hotels. Check in time is too late and not...

The location was in the middle of all attractions making it easy to get where we wanted to go quickly.\n\nThe lighting in the room wasn't to good. No light at the table that was squeezed in between the bureau/TV Stand and the hvac unit. No plugs available for charging cell phones, tablets, laptops etc. That everyone uses in today's society.

My family and I rented two nights for Christmas Town the weekend after Thanksgiving. Nicely, on our way to our room we passed guests who had just been trapped in the elevator (which did not operate for the two days we were there). Matter not, we wouldn't have gotten in the elevator if you had paid us. When we got to our room, we found that the heat did not work. We called the front desk and...

Enjoyed the staff and location. The front desk staff, and breakfast staff were awesome. My only complaint is that the air conditioning in our room did not work to it's full capacity. Another guest mentioned that there air conditioner didn't work to the full capacity as well. That being said, I would stay there again.
