They said they had nonsmoking rooms and floors, but that's not the case. Whole place reeks of cigarettes.
I was in room 101, I did not sleep at all, my room is next to the elevator, and was extremely loud. I will never stay there again. I do need to say front desk was extremely friendly and very helpful.

Overall, my 2 night stay was comfortable. There were people noisy and running in the hall after midnight. When I went to breakfast the first day they were out of hot food (8am) and I did not have time to wait. I was out and about all day, so, for the price, it was a comfotable and reasonable place to sleep. The hotel is within walking distance/short drive of lots of restaurants and shopping.

The hotel was convenient for my destination, PFAC. The hotel price was very reasonable and the staff first class. My only complaints are with the aging infrastructure and room cleanliness. The hotel was a good value. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offering was limited, the breakfast room too small for the numbers, and the staff was slow in restocking the food. But for the price, I was fine with getting my breakfast at Chick-fil-a.
This hotel was a decent one. The only complants I have are the toilet did not flush easily and the shower was missing the plug so you were unable to take a bath. Other than that this hotel provided an acceptable experience.

We needed a clean room with a fridge and microwave. Indeed, our room was clean, bed slept good, there was enough towels and it did have a fridge and microwave. The BEST WESTERN PLUS Newport News Inn & Suites is an excellent facility and value.Very small problems: the hotel internet is slow and the cable TV remote control has some problems. The breakfast area can get overcrowded.

After flying in from NH they told me our room wasnt ready , leave and they would call me. My reservation said 2 pm but they yold me they didnt care what it said their check in was 3. We actually got to our room at 4 and the cleaning woman was still working in it. I will never go there again.

We went to Newport News for a family holiday get together. Turned out the room was about 5 minutes away from their house and we count have asked for a better location. So much to choose from, all within walking distance. Lots of food, shopping, you name it. The hotel was clean, the room was cozy and the staff was great from check in to check out

Great location for Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and even Virginia Beach. Clean room, spacious, updated. Pool area is run down a little and could use some sprucing up. Breakfast was adequate, coffee not so good. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast average to maybe a little above.
We've stayed here several times. The room was quite large and easily slept my husband and I , my daughter and my son in separate beds. The room and hallways were clean. the breakfast had eggs and bacon, biscuits with sausage gravy and waffles...more than adequate!We only stayed one night but would definitely go back, again.
Staff very accommodating. Only thing that was wrong was in the bedding their was a cigarette burn and the top sheet was not replaced for three days, not that it needed replacing usually but in the case of the cigarette burn it should have been replaced also we were in a non-smoking roomOverall a very good stay.

The hotel is clean, quiet & close to shopping & restaurants. It is just far enough off of the main road so you don't hear traffic noise all night.
This hotel is convenient to everything. Restaurants and shopping are nearby and it is very close to I-64. The rooms are nice and large. Everything was very clean and the staff was very helpful.
This hotel was at a great location excellent amenities and service. It is off the main street so not nosiey from road noise. good selection for breakfast too. Short drive to Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. Lots of restruants and gas stations too. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to see the above sites.

Helpful desk staff, we had a couple special needs and the staff went out of the way to help us. Comfortable bed, room was the size of a suite, it was perfect!
Stayed for five nights. Exceed my expectations. We had a problem with the hairdryer and maintenance responded in five minutes. Location was perfect for our needs. Planning on visting the area again in Feb 2012 and will be staying here.
On business, hotel was close to my work. Very nice hotel, quiet, nice work space, clean, courteous staff. Room temp was right, bed was very comfortable. Nice size room. Near lots of shopping.
Mall across the street and whatever restaurant to choose from and so much more. It was perfect to say the least. :) I would love to stay again.

Our group reserved 3 rooms, 2 were fine the 3rd was roach was seen and killed in the room. This made the occupants of this room a little weary. Other than than that incident everything else was ok. The location was wonderful, surrounded by shopping and plenty of great eating places. We were there over the Columbus day weekend so it met our needs.
