I visited this hotel as part of a wedding party April 1 through April 3. The hotel was clean, the rooms were spacious and that was exactly what my family and I needed. Space to get ready, a small kitchen so that we could have feel at home away from home with the hectic wedding schedule. The internet did function,...
We were very disappointed because it was nothing like the pictures on their website. There were lots of construction. The breakfast was disappointing and we ended up venturing out to another place for breakfast. We stayed for two nights on the morning of our departure, our toilet broke. It was conveniently located but I felt like I was in a...
Stayed here for 2 nights while my son visited UNH. Hotel was conveniently located & clean. Penthouse suite is large and well-appointed. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Carissa made my day! Construction in the suite next door ruined a day of relaxation for me. I called front desk after patiently "dealing" for 3 hours. I was told...
After researching hotels we choose the New Haven Village Suites and sadly to say it was the WRONG CHOICE! The carpets were filthy, there were people playing loud music in the parking lot. The door lock didn't work and every time you call the desk there is never any manager on property or available to speak with nor did a...
New Haven Village Suites hotel says in their flyer in the room: "AT the New Haven Village Suites, we are proud of everything we have to offer, but we aren't done yet. You may have noticed that some parts of our complex are under construction; this is because we have been renovating and upgrading around the clock to ensure that...
Seven of us came from England, Arizona, New York City, and California for time together in New Haven. We chose this hotel because it is a terrific place to really be together: fireplace, kitchen, big comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, spacious, and good wifi. 7 of us shared two rooms, and it worked out fine. The place is at Long Warf....
Stayed here for one night. Staff was very friendly but there was no working internet in my room. I called the front desk as soon as I arrived. They said they "called maintenance", but i never heard from them again. The internet never worked, I ended up working on my phone for the rest of my stay. Place is under...
We stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday, and before and during our stay, had the best service from the people at the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance people. The beds were very comfortable and the area was quiet for a good nights sleep. The room only had a couch and could have used more seating, the appliances were old, but functional...
I reviewed this hotel twice previously, in 2012 and 2013. Normally I do not do repeat reviews unless things change, and that is the case here. I had previously given this hotel a very good rating, and now I am downgrading it to average. For an average hotel, the price is reasonable, as hotels in New Haven are on the...
The listing makes you think that this is a nice, 3 star hotel in/around downtown New Haven. The listing says that it is 1 mile from Yale. This is not true. It is located in a blighted industrial-park-looking area, 2.5 miles from Yale. When we arrived, the concierge was in the midst of calling the police on a drug-fueled party. Against my better judgement I still took the keys to go look at the...
My wife was attending a seminar at Yale and she asked my to book her a room near by. I looked at several options and the website of this Premier Hotels and Suites looked just perfect. I was proud to send her the information but was not expecting her call from the parking lot telling me she was afraid for...
Not sure who this place is catering to...
Large amt families here w/ kids waiting for school bus p/u. Playing music in lobby even tho' tv was on.
Hard to find a parking spot. Place is currently in renovation mode. Agree w/ all comments about check in staff. Took quite a while for us to be acknowledged. Seems like all...
Located behind the old New Haven Register building down the street from Ikea, this place is definitely an experience.
At checkout around 9pm we were greeted by obnoxious unsupervised children hanging out in the lobby drinking free coffee and using the free computer. The clerk finally came around the corner, sighed, and directed us to our room.
Parking is a...
The wifi doesn't work on my room. I spent hours trying to connect and even called the Internet company but the internet doesn't work at all... The room is fine...
I had a hard time imagining just whom this hotel is catering for. It's right off the interstate that runs through New Haven, so perhaps exhausted interstate drivers? But the hotel has "suites" with kitchens, and presumably they are only really useful if you're staying a while. I found the whole thing deeply mysterious. I was put here when I...
The room was comfortable, however Pricey for one night. The breakfast was pretty good. Could stay again.
This place was recommended to the person arranging my business travel, and I knew better, but I made the mistake anyway.
The rooms were big, and they were not dirty, but they were run-down, and the location is not good. If you want to walk to anything, this is not the place. The only thing it is convenient for is...
A group of friends stayed over to go to bars in downtown New Haven and we were all extremely impressed! the staff was wonderful and friendly, the room clean, huge (we had a suite that comfortably slept 7 all in beds) and so comfortable, I couldn't believe the value! I would come back in a heartbeat!
This place seems to mostly cater to extended stay patrons. All of the rooms are suites. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our bed was nice and there was not a lot of noise. The biggest drawback was the location. It is located west of downtown New Haven and there is really not much close to the hotel. Breakfast was...
Very nice room with kitchen, and the shuttle is very convenient. Jake is very nice, he always ask us what we need or what we feel, he makes us feel better living in this hotel. That's very nice, we feel warm and comfortable. We will come again next time.
Not sure what was going on at this hotel. The room was a mess, lights didn't work. Electric outlet (on floor) was popped out and we were concerned that a fire could start. When we booked the room, we indicated 3 adults, there was only towels, etc for 2. The TV worked when it wanted. I would not recommend this hotel.
Apartment type suites. Was outdated and worn. Bed listed as king but not a true king.
Front desk worker Linda was great.
Stale odor upon entering the room. Dated bathroom and kitchen. Bathroom/tub area dirty. Bed very comfortable and great pillows!!! Nice continental breakfast and very nice staff.
The room was very comfortable, private and had everything we needed - the one disappointment is that we couldn't watch NY baseball. Channel selection could be better. Parking was tricky - busy place.
Such a great value! The room was spacious and comfortable. Every staff member was friendly and helpful housekeeping did an excellent job. While the location is a bit industrial, it was quiet and I felt safe. While it is not located where you could leave your room and stroll to a restaurant or bar, that was not something we required. The complimentary shuttle available was a bonus and would...
We stayed here because it was Yale parents' weekend and everything in downtown New Haven was booked. Turned out just fine. The free shuttle service from the hotel to downtown was incredibly helpful!
Great place. Spacious. Wonderful experience! Would definitely stay here again! Great staff and lots of space in our suite. Easy shuttle to downtown!
Odd industrial location. Needs updating, not very clean.
Although the people at the hotel were nice. This is a shady area. The other tenants were very mixed. It seems some of the people might have been on a wanted list by the police. The rooms were dark and not updated. You got the feeling it was dirty but since it was so dark, you couldn't really tell. This is not a do again. One night was quite enough.
We stayed at the hotel for six days. We were very comfortable and were able to entertain friends in the living area of the suite. The breakfast was very tasty and it saved us from having to go out for food. When I return to New Haven, I will stay there again.
Had reservation on 09/05/15 for 1 night. Showed up around 5 to check in. There were 2 car loads of questionable looking individuals hanging in the parking lot. The desk assigned us a room on the 1st floor towards the rear of the complex where the door was right across a broken fence. It looked unsafe and we asked to...
I love this hotel, because i feel like home, clean, confortable and very quiet place to relax, very good breakfest, definily i recomend this hotel !!!!!!!!!
Where do I begin with this place. I am not one of those picky people who thinks I'm staying at the Ritz Carlton for $100 a night here, but I felt obligated to write this review to Warn people of our experience with this hotel and let them make there own decision.
We stayed here for a month because of...
This is a quiet, clean area that is not in the middle of New Haven but still right off the highway so easy to access. There were a few little things that could use repair but overall very comfortable. Would be a great place if one were staying for more than one or two nights since it has a kitchenette....
it was good quiet clean. gym needs better machines the ones there are outdated and broken.other than that had a pleasant stay.its location to yale is only 20 minutes .great restaurants are near like lennys seafood which is the best one you need to try it.
The pictures should be updated. An the location is not the best. Tucked alway behind a few closed down factories is not the best place for a hotel, and the road leading to the hotel is full of potholes.
This was a sight unseen choice, selected from the internet. I found the staff to be very friendly and professional. As we walked to and from our room the housekeeping staff smiled and greeted us. The grounds were well taken care of especially the courtyard area next to the Gatehouse. We stayed in the Executive Penthouse Suite which was clean...
Dank, musty, has seen better years. I booked the "Executive" Studio Suite and it was horrible! Sofa was stained and mildew smelling, carpeting was suspect and furnishings were poor quality. Will never stay here again nor recommend to anyone. Spend the extra cash and stay in a more reputable place.
I stayed one night in August, when my daughter started college. I wanted to walk back and forth to Yale so was heartened to read on the hotel website that this hotel was one mile from Yale. Google Maps said 2.4 miles (49 minutes walk) so I called the hotel to check and was assured it was one mile. It's...
Brought our son to college in New Haven and this hotel was a great choice for our trip. They are located 10 easy min from Yale. Not a great neighborhood but absolutely no problems whatsoever. Very reasonable fee (approx $150 night) included a nice breakfast and wi fi. We were able to park our very overloaded car right outside our...
Wifi did not work during my stay.
The place could be excellent with a thorough cleaning, exterminator inspection and fresh paint.
I'm glad I returned for another stay. I was lucky enough to get a penthouse suite , which had been newly renovated. The beds were fantastic .The linens were soft and I loved the down comforters. The management Tim, the G.M. Falisha Sales Manager and Wilfredo Assistant G.M. lead a fine well trained staff. There are even better breakfast and...
The upstairs bed had blood on the bed sheets. The front desk didnt care and just said sorry. Aparently room service wasnt available either. If you think you want to eat or have a glass of wine or a beer bring it with you. This town shuts down between 8 and 9 pm and you can not buy anything but gas.
My husband and son and I stayed here for two nights. It was quite comfortable. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfy (although they were doubles, not queens, so it was a little tight with two people who are used to sharing a queen-size). The room condition was good, although if you're used to the Four Seasons, it would probably seem shabby. I stay in Hiltons and Hyatts and such,...
Came to drop off our daughter. Expensive for what you get . Cheap furniture, the bottom fell out of the sofa bed in the middle of night. Veneer peeling off the edges. Surly staff - refused to send someone to make sofa bed. Rooms were not cleaned until late , around 4 pm. Good location, but go elsewhere.
The property is in need of a substantial refurb.
One night in a "penthouse" suite was an adventure. The "suite" was dated at best, creaked (up/down configuration), was marginally clean, and had a general feeling of
why doesn't anyone care.
As far as the free breakfast, why bother. The attraction was the complimentary newspaper.
Avoid.....the name does not support the...
This hotel was nice. It is an older, residential suites hotel. The suite was condo style with stairs that led to the upstairs bedroom/bathroom. The size was spacious. Obviously, the facility allowed pets in our suite. The smell of dogs was very evident. It was also sprayed to offset the smell which magnified the intensity of the odors. The staff was pleasant. The breakfast was average. It was...
We stayed here to celebrate a birthday in New Haven. There was 6 of us who rented the executive suite. Two floors, kitchen, tv, fireplace, cups dishes, everything. Really clean!
The staff were really nice. We worked out in the tiny exercise room and grabbed complimentary coffee in the lobby. There was a free breakfast too that we saw people...
I had a reservation for 2 nights from august 14-16. Checked in about 7pm to a penthouse with a broken airconditioner and cieling fan. Was moved to a different penthouse with a broken tv, filthy ceiling fan blades and a capet of dust on the air intake and was told that all of the penthouse ceiling fans were disconnected for...
Nice layout of suites. We stayed in the executive Penthouse 2 bedroom suite, which had a bedroom with a King size bed, a loft with a double bed, a pull out sleeper sofa, living room, kitchen and 2 baths. The rate was reasonable. The breakfast buffet was adequate. The property had a good layout. The beds are clean and comfortable,...
New Haven isn't exactly a destination for fine travel. Even the more esteemed chains here are tired. The New Haven Premiere hotel seems like it must have been an old Residents Inn at one time.
Only now are they spiffing it up with fresh coats if paint and replacing damaged wood. They've still got a ways to go, but what's...
Very convenient, safe, and clean. Great people. Breakfast is just right, and the light supper early week is wonderful.
The facility could use some upgrades, but they are working on that.
Overall, it was a wonderful place for a great price.
Delayed check in with no explanation, poor front desk staff experience, indifferent decor in the rooms, poor location with nothing around
We only stayed here one night but this lovely duplex (looks like a community) was perfect! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. They offered a free light dinner (salads and pasta) and a full breakfast. There is a little courtyard where we hung out all night and had some refreshments. All and all...
The complimentary food service (light supper and breakfast) was surprisingly good, and the lady who ran it went out of her way to be helpful. Definitely 5 stars there! We needed a large room because my husband, son, & I were traveling with our cat, and our daughter who lives in New Haven came to visit for the evening. The room, while not luxurious, met our needs perfectly.
I booked my stay on relatively short notice needing a break from my household demands. Falisha Smith assisted me and the overall staff was very accommodating. My room was bright and clean and the provided the calmness I required to decompress. In addition to a full kitchen, the facility offers breakfast, and an area outdoors for grilling. My two night...
Traveling with my niece and her softball team we arrived at the hotel very early! The lady at the desk was very nice and did the best she could being that she was alone and we watched mangers walk back and forth and not try to help our group! As we were checking in they next person came in very...
I recently stayed at the Premier Hotel and Suites and had a very pleasant experience with my group. The management was great. They accommodated all of us and was also able to handle a few last minute changes. Comfortable stay. No issues with our rooms. The breakfast was good everyday. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Pretty cruddy motel all around. The guy who works the desk is nice enough, but was unfortunately unable to solve the problem of the broken wifi. He referred my dad to the service company, with...
Prior to booking reservations at this hotel I tried reaching out to the sales department for a group rate for my friends wedding, never got a response but upon arrival saw staff members outside smoking only to find this was were she is and doesn't return your calls! We ended up booking all 21 rooms on the website! Bad business!...
There were a few things wrong with the room. It smelled bad, the WiFi did not work well and the room was very dark, some of the lamps did not have bulbs in them.
Our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, giving us great tips on what to see and do. The tips on where to eat were right on!!!! The complimentary shuttle service was excellent! The king size bed was very comfortable.
We stayed the weekend on a summer road trip with our children. The suite was clean and well laid out. There were 3 TV's and space for everyone to find their corner to relax. The courtyard was a...
The Executive Penthouse is a great option for traveling with family; and the breakfast makes the morning so easy for everyone. The staff are wonderful (even when you lock yourself out of your room.) Could use updating, but then again--the price is right! We stay here every summer.
Surprised to have a full kitchen with a full sized frig, a full stove and a dishwasher, complete with dishes, pots, etc.
Plenty of closet space with 2 full sized closets with mirrored doors (one had problems opening it) and a smaller one in the living area. One dresser with 3 drawers and 2 night tables, each with a small...
We just checked in and after getting our two kids in their pjs and letting them run around the room for a few minutes before bed the bottoms of their feet were BLACK. We took off our shoes and felt the carpets-completely soggy and disgusting. It's too late for us to find another hotel but we are out of here...
the hotel was a little off the street but it was really nice & the service we received was great. the breakfast was amazing & the beds were so comfortable. Every time we needed something the front desk took care it & Kwame at the front desk was so kind to help us move in our suite. look forward to...
It was reasonable and clean but old and needs updating. Also not too near things
When we arrived we were greeted by a very rude receptionist. We had blocked rooms for my wedding and all of our rooms were all split up. My mother asked if we had the ability to block them closer together as some people in different rooms had shared suitcases. The receptionist responded with, "You are all being difficult and it...
4 star
We enjoyed the hotel but there were small inconveniences. Some tv remotes did not work. In our first room the a/c didn't work. However, they sent a tech over quickly to check it and then moved us to another room where the ac worked.
Horrible. old old converted hotel and old rooms. Way over priced.
Comfortable but needs to be cleaner, easy to get to shoreline.
Was in need of repair! They actuall was doing repair....first thing in the morning. Had leakage in kitchen on the floor. We did have ample room however and was just for one night.
Had a lot nicer for less
The was the last stop on 5 day east coast trip. Arrived around 7pm, checked in. I was not told that the building or the room in which we would be staying in would be in the boarded up building. I have pictures. Me and my family drove right pass the building because I just knew that they would not put guest in this building. I was wrong. Our room was in that building. It was too late and I...
The staff were very professional and extremely helpful. The service I received was A+ and 5 Star. There was pool and breakfast was subpar.
We had to change rooms our first day because the dish washer was leaking. Our second room the lock broke and we had to wait for someone to fix it before we could get in.
Staff was very helpful and kind!
Room was not very clean and definately dated.
Busy place so the room wasn't ready when it was supposed to be, but could live with that -- just came back in a while.
Was given the wrong room, which was a little difficult to make an 88 year old lady climb 2 sets of stairs to get to the right place (BTW - there is no elevator).
And the wifi is poor at best -- but otherwise, rooms and beds were very spacious and comfortable.
Yes it was great! clean and comfortable! I would deff recommend this to a friend in the future!
This hotel is badly in need of a face lift. The furniture is laminate and full of dings, the paint is peeling, the appliances in the kitchenette are beat up pretty badly, the outdoor cigarette disposal buckets are left overnight full of used butts swimming in water (from the rain), the breakfast is comprised of poor-quality high-fat processed foods. If you like powdered eggs with cheese-whiz,...
Place was very difficult to find. Excellent shuttle took us to a restaurant and to the train station.
This hotel has so many things going for it: It's right next to One Long Wharf (where I work); It serves a breakfast and a light dinner; the grounds around the lobby are lovely and the new tables and chairs create a fabulous place to enjoy a meal or cup of coffee. The rooms have a full sized refrigerator, stove,...
Really enjoyed our stay. It was a cozy two story place with a loft that my son loved.
This was a 4 night business trip for work at Yale New Haven Hospital. Some might consider the area a bit "industrial", but it's actually a great location for easy access to I-95 and the hospital. The suites have a fireplace, full kitchen, small balcony, sitting area with TV, and ample closet space. The King bed was very comfortable. With...
Nice place , Breakfast is ok and light meals in the evening! Full kitchens
Booked without realizing the hotel is "pet-friendly", and the strong odor of cleaning products had us sneezing throughout the entire night... Guests should be alerted and given the option of choosing rooms that are off-limits to pets.... The rooms we stayed in were clean, but in sore need of some refurbishing...
Not very clean
Very disappointing. Advertising these rooms as suites is incredibly misleading. They've essentially thrown a couch awkwardly in the middle of a regular sized hotel room. Originally, we were given a room that was inaccessible as the stairways to the room were blocked off with wooden boards and there were large chunks of concrete along the walkways. It frankly didn't look safe. I'm unsure why...
This place is super tucked away and maybe not as up to date as it could be but it is really nice - our room had a fireplace and kitchen. If you were in New Haven for a longish period of time and didn't want to have to eat out constantly this place would be perfect for you. They even...
My first stay at this hotel was okay. It's in an area with a lot of construction. The hotel itself is very nice .The staff is courteous and the rooms are clean ,with comfortable beds. Wifi is available .The rooms have kitchens and a supply of dishes. It is an excellent hotel geared toward business travelers. Hot breakfasts and suppers...
The suites were so nice and accommodating and the staff we very helpful and very pleasant. Would definitely recommend this to others. It was like being in a condo. We stayed there for our nephews wedding they even had a bus to take us to and from and the driver was also pleasant and thoughtful.
Enjoyed our stay here. Everything was perfect! Just hope they have a shuttle service to town.
A bit of a ways away from town center, but with a shuttle into town and the university every 30 minutes. The staff are very helpful and friendly - always ready to add value.
And not far away an Italian restaurant - Brazi's - that I will return to at the first opportunity.
I stayed overnight with my family. We had a good time at what first looked to be a deserted area. Don't be fooled by the big empty parking lot that sits adjacent to the Premiere because, once in, you'll find a warm and accommodating staff. We were there for a party and next morning we had a nice time at...
We stayed at the New Haven Premiere Hotel and Suites because it was graduation weekend at Yale and every other place within a 5 mile radius was booked. On the phone, I was told there would be a free shuttle leaving for Yale every 30 minutes. I figured at least our transportation for the many matriculation events during the weekend...
Nice , friendly service. The rooms are comfortable and the offer a light dinner and breakfast through out the week!
Needed to find a convenient hotel to stay at for an important MD appointment I had the next day, the location was perfect, it had a full kitchen and nice bathroom. It was quiet considering the location, the hotel staff couldn't have been nicer, I had a early afternoon appointment so they gave me a late checkout to accommodate that, All in all very restful, the bed was comfortable and the room...
A highly discounted price is appropriate. Out in the middle of nowhere, but that is obvious from the map. Very noisy on the back side of the hotel, near the residences.
A very large, rusty tack awaited my foot upon entry, part of the disintegrating carpet or furniture I guess.
Breakfast was bottom of the mid-economy level - i.e. it existed but barely edible for anyone that cares about health.
Everyone was so kind!!! The room had everything we needed for a splendid night in :)
The hotel is great! I needed something close to the medical building next door and it is literally next door, and they allowed me to stay in the parking lot instead of moving my car. If you don't need the Medical building, it is still in a great spot for many reasons. It is very close to the highway and to downtown with historic, scenic and shopping areas. It is close to the park and the Light...
Every where smelled like someone was smoking. Nothing in the area at all
Picked this hotel so we could share a suite with my daughter and her husband for 2 nights. Found the room most suitable. Clean, comfy beds, 3 tvs, nice living room area and a decent breakfast. This place more than satisfied our needs and was close to where we were going. Affordable as well. The hotel seemed a bit "tired" or old and it was being worked on while we were there but we would stay...
I booked 10 rooms at this hotel. Not really a hotel, more of an old fashioned Motor Motel. My room was smelly, like mold an old cigarette smoke. Carpet was gross. You could see the old build up of dirt and dust around the edges and corners. Carpet was bumpy and felt like it had no padding. Bedding was good and front desk service was fine.
Rooms were ready for all 10 of us. Check in was ok. My room had dirty and very old carpeting, moldy smell. Very much like a cheap motel. Rooms not worth more than $80 per night.
Cozy and convenient. Fireplace is awesome feature. Breakfast is delicious.
Great location. Close to Yale and other Universities. Right off 95. Restaurants close by. Rooms include a full kitchen if you want to prepare your own. Comfy bed. My only complaint would be that the hotel could use a update. But it's still a winner. Good customer service.
Great value. Location couldn't be better. Very close to Yale and downtown area. Directly off highway. Good customer service. The place could definitely use a renovation on the inside.
I was extremely satisfied with the staff and the service. the room was beautiful and clean. It smelled fresh too. I was excited to see the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, pots, pans and silverware. The fireplace and comfort was an added bonus. Lastly waking up to an continental breakfast was such a delight. I would definently recommend this place.
Excellent location and services. Stayed during last snow storm. Fireplace was nice feature as well.
Un lugar muy lindo y acojedor
The Premiere Hotel and Suites is not within walking distance of much of anything, but if that doesn't matter to you, it's a nice place to stay. The staff are very helpful, going to the trouble of storing two bicycles for us for a few days after the end of our stay. The room was quite large, and had a fairly well-stocked kitchen, certainly good enough for takeout, and maybe some cooking from...
It was a nice place. My only complaint was there was dirty roim linens outside my room the whole time I was there. I dint feel that is cleanliness.
The price was really the seller for this room, and the fact that it was close to the highway and easy to get downtown. Other than that, unfortunately, it wasn't great. It sounded like there was some animal trapped behind the wall of our bed; the tank of the toilet emptied loudly and frequently; and it was hard to regulate the temperature in the room. I'd give it a C+
Huge 2 bedroom 2 bath was a surprise. I was expecting a regular hotel room. Free shuttle from train station and to Yale was helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.
I will not blame the hotel for the difficulty getting to and from downtown due to ongoing construction. I do blame the hotel for the layer of grit present in the closets. Breakfast was good.
Well-run hotel but pretty out of the way in New Haven. No problems with staff; they handled my late check-in without any issues. Room was clean, though the staff didn't clean it during the first day for some reason.
5 star
Clean and nice hotel. All staff was very nice. I would visit again.
The room was neat and the bed comfortable. However, for a smoke free establishment the room smelled as though there had been smokers in it prior to our visit.
The room did not look like it had been vacuumed in a long time, and I feel like I should have cleaned the tub before climbing in a for a soak. It actually grossed me out a bit.
Not bad, just average. The rooms did not look like the pictures on the website. Stayed there to attend a Yale Football game so it was convenient to the Yale Bowl and downtown New Haven. The hotel room was dated and the grounds where in need of landscaping.

Old Residence Inn. Staff works hard to keep things up to date. Clean rooms, quiet location. Full kitchen. Good breakfasts and snacks/dinner in the evening. Front desk let us look at three rooms to decide which one we liked the best. Very satisfied and glad we found a good buy in New Haven. No pool for kids, but large rooms.
Good for what we needed. Would be good for a multi-day stay. Close to where we needed to be. Comfortable bed. Overall a good stay.
This was very comfortable and convenient for an overnight stay, but would be ideal for a longer stay. It had a full kitchen, living area with fireplace, and provided a complementary hot breakfast and light dinner.
We spent two nights here on our way up the East coast. We picked this hotel simce it was only a mile away from train station for our trip to NYC. Very clean, very friendly and good breakfast. Free shuttle to train station was an extra perk. The only complaint we had was that it was a little hard to find due to construction and the fact that it sat pretty far off the road and you couldn't see it .
New Haven does not have the nicest peploe in the world but that motel had the nicest ones in the town, I loved the rooms, it made me feel like i was in someone's home staying with them it was that nice.
For those traveling by train, the hotel is a mile-plus hike from the station through a remote industrial / office building area. However, once you are there, they have a shuttle that you can reserve to go back into town, the rail station, etc.The room (at least mine) was equipped with a full kitchen. Alas, grocery stores require a mile-plus hike. The complimentary breakfast buffet had good...
The hotel is good. Check in is easy. It looks as advertised. Good for a family to stay.

The suite is roomy and clean. very comfortable. The staff are very helpful.

Un lugar muy acogedor que te hace sentir como en tu propia casa !!

The hotel is right off the highway so it's easy to get to. I had a room in the back facing the neighborhood and that was kind of noisey. The neighborhood we faced is not very nice and there alwasy seemed to be something going on in the street or loud music. Next time I would ask to stay in the front of the complex. I did not expect the fully loaded kitchen so that was nice. For a family you...

The hotel layout allowed privacy but also made common areas very accessible.\n\nThe hotel shuttle was not very convenient for business travelers, starting at 7:00 am and ending at 8:00 pm. It was particularly unhelpful in the evening as some airport shuttles do not go directly to the hotel.\n\nSuites are very large and well-laid out. However, the stove in my unit didn't work - it was fine for a...
Nothing stands out.\n\nLimited parking at night Breakfast ran out. Bathroom floor dirty - hairs from past guest. Low water pressure in bathroom - had to call for service. Room was small/darker than expected. Furnishings, carpet, wallpaper etc.. older/needed updating.\n\nCheck-in staff in afternoon was a little ... short/aggressive attitude.
The room was clean and the hotel had an easy accessible location with free parking. The room was spacious and although not fancy, it may have been the nicest in the area. I was really surprised with the breakfast that was served. I would recommend this hotel.
clean room; well managed -- they even prepared a plastic bag for laundry!; nice free breakfast; free parking and wifi.\n\nNot easy to find the location after got off highway 95.\n\nThe owner should post a big sign by highway 95. If you are driving on 95 north, it is on your left hand side. My GPS did give me correct direction after got off from 95.
The staff was nice and it had a full kitchen\n\nThe dishwasher leaked, the thermostat didn't work and the air vents rattled and blew so loud it would wake us up. There is absolutely no natural light in the room and it felt like a dungeon. The pots they provide you with are dollar store brand\n\nI would never expect this to be a three star hotel. Although the food was free it was not very...
very comfortable beds, working fireplace, nice kitchen area with full size refrigerator.\n\nAccess road from main road had large pot holes--potential for damage to car.\n\nI would definitely recommend this hotel to others---comfortable and quiet.
I liked the fact that it was a suite and not a standard hotel room. I especially liked the fire place.\n\nWhat I didn't like is that there was no firewood.

It was comfy and cozy - I believe that I was upgraded after I arrived. Beautiful fireplace great bed and wonderful working fireplace!\n\nI had to take my heavy luggage upstairs with no assistance\n\nI will go back.
My husband and I had plans to see a play in the area. The play unfortunately was cancelled but we decided to spend the weekend away anyway. The hotel staff were very friendly upon arrival and departure. The room itself was not quite what I expected. It was clean and comfy, but not as elaborate as is portrayed in the pictures.

I had a very great experience. The room is very clean and cozy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also offer the complimentary transportation to all places within or near New Haven and pickup service. Three meals are included in for free everyday and the food is actually pretty good and they change the variety all the time. But they seem to have only one vehicle for complimentary...

I am a consultant being sent to Conn. for business matters for a month. It was a long time to be without my family and needed a location that would accommodate all of us for a month, but give my wife the feel of our normal home. This was perfect because the room had a full working / functioning kitchen with a stove.

I use priceline all the time and am very flexible as to my expectations. THERE IS NO WAY THIS SHOULD BE RATED A 3 STAR PROPERTY.
close to I95\n\nWaste of money...did not like this hotel, mold, rotting wood, dirty....etc.\n\ndo not stay here it is a one star at best.

Advertised as 1 mile from Yale, but can take 1-15 minutes on side roads due to all the light s and stop signs. Highway exit going there is closed. Our room was on the second floor. .all stairs , no elevators. With lots of luggage , it was not pleasant. The room is spacious with a full kitchen. Could not find anything to warm up food in the oven.

Working out of state for a few month I booked this hotel for a coworker to stay at with his wife and new born baby. He has been very happy with this hotel and continues to request I book him to stay at this location because of the convenience of a full kitchen for his family.
The Premiere is located off of the interstate that is under construction, so it surroundings leave much to be desired. However the hotel property is very well maintained and friendly place to stay. Additionally, it was eco-friendly environment and quiet place to stay which means a lot to me.
Handy location from I-95\n\nFor the price and being on the east coast, not bad at all.\n\nLocation was handy for the area, seems the hotel was full on the weekend but all went well. I enjoyed the hot breakfeast. My room had a nice full kitchen...didnt use it but would be nice for an extended stay...
Big room with full kitchen, comfy bed, free hot breakfast in the morning - recommend if you have a car.
Location to the train station. The hotel was quiet and they provided breakfast and to put surprise dinner. It was just sloppy Joes, but we were tired from traveling all day and were glad not to have to go anywhere to eat. Beds were great, room quiet\n\nThe carpet was dirty. It made my feet dirty when walking around without shoes. That would be my only complaint.\n\nOverall a good hotel.
The room was really a small apartment with a full kitchen.\n\nLocation was a little remote and hard to find.\n\nWe had plenty of space to spread out in the room, which was really a small apartment with a sitting area, kitchen, bath and two big beds. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom vanity was very large and open to the rest of the bedroom,...

Located close to my destination and the bed was very comfortable.\n\nAlthough a smoke free hotel the pillows smelled like cigarettes. Also the heat and refrigerator were noisy. I shut of the refrigerator at night.\n\nThis was a place to sleep. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

This place was fantastic. It was clean, spacious, well located, comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The price wasn't bad either.
Easy access to and from I95 and I91, yet quiet surroundings. Also close to New Haven's train station. Also easy access to and from downtown New Haven.Breakfast room very pleasant, and attending staff very helpful.Magnetic keys to room became demagnetized easily, and even when freshly magnetized required several tries before unlocking room door.Suite furnishings of an older style and era, yet...
This hotel is a 5 minute drive to Yale, although it is in an industrial area near the water. It is an enclosed space, nicely landscaped and protected from its safe but unattractive environs. Rooms are large, kitchen is functional, bed and sheets are very comfortable and has a mix of feather and non feather pillows. Everything was clean, well kept, and the best part was the kindness and...

The hotel was a bit outdated and it just looked tired. However, that was just the tip of the iceberg. The night was packed with screams from the near by residents, and a loud confrontation by some hotel guests. Not a pleasant experience. Beware.

Although I gave this hotel average marks, I definitely would stay there again. There is something unique about it. It is dated, but the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace. They not only have a nice morning buffet, but they have a light everning meal as well. We stayed in the more basic one-room suite, but it was laid out nicely with a good-sized kitchette. Other than the fact that...

The room was very comfortable and relaxing.\n\nGreat service I like the hotel very much.\n\nGREAT STAY!!
great room, helpful staff\n\na real find... very good value,
The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.\n\na little hard to find from the main road. No signs.\n\nwill stay there again.
The bed were comfortable and the breakfast was decent...Waffles, fruit, cereal, eggs and a potato dish.\n\nThere was no wifi except in the business center. Also there was limited plug ins.\n\nOverall, the hotel was nice, the staff were friendly. Although a manager and another staff member having a argument about in the lobby during breakfast, which I found to be unprofessional.
The room wasn't well cleaned. There was an empty beer can in a corner that i guess was left there by the previous guest. There was hair on my bed sheets that did not belong to me. The internet access in my room was horrible. It kept disconnecting every 5 min. There is nothing near that hotel for food and the complementary "dinner" was burnt hot dogs. I do not recommend this place.

We just wanted to stay someplace between Boston and NYC. New Haven was a kick--Yale campus was a sight worth seeing. Staff couldn't have been friendlier. We had a problem with a wet carpet and they relocated us right away. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. And, best of all, their shuttle was readily available, even into town. Not an easy walk from the train or airport but a perfectly wonderful...
Spacious room and comfortable furnishings; well maintained interior.\n\nLocation
Profession throughout the staff.\n\n
Excellent more than what I expected.
We had a full day's drive into New Haven and we'd never been there before. This worked out to be a great, quiet, off-campus location to rest up before driving home the next day. (We needed the GPS to find it.) The full kitchen made it easy to stock up on snacks and refreshments to get us through the move-in and driving chores. However, it does show its age in small things like dresser drawers...
loved the spacious room and lovely linens. great staff. excellent staff
the bed was heavenly, having a refigerator and microwave was wonderful to have\n\nthere was no pool to swim in.
Very disappointed. Stayed here to assist a cancer patient who needed to be minutes from the Yale Cancer Clinic for daily trea

I picked this hotel because it was the nicest one that offered a shuttle to/from the airport and other spots around New Haven. (Not sure what the max. distance is, but reasonably far. If you tip the drivers, they're happy to take you wherever.) The shuttle runs from 7am until 7pm (pretty sure -- that's within 1h either way, at least) . They run every 30min., and you can either schedule your...
We only stayed for one night, but the staff was very friendly. The room was very cozy with kitchen area and fireplace. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint is that the shower did not drain well. The sink area is separate from the toilet / shower which is nice but the room with toilet and shower was not well ventilated.
Every time I come here the service is great. My only wish is that the free Internet they provide be wireless. The beds are great too.
Great experience. Friendly and helpful staff. The executive studio was better than I expected. The room has all kitchen appliances including dishes, pots & pans, and silverware. Very nice hotel although a little pricy.
Front desk was empty, no bell. Room had no parking left, had to park on far side of complex. Hotel is in a dank industrial section, not much around. Room smelled like cat pee, must be pet-friendly hotel. Pretty much the worst experience in a long while.
This place was perfect. Great location close to the highway, clean, comfortable, friendly. In lobby, food available for guests, for breakfast and lunch. The kitchen in the suite is well equipped to cook a small meal.
This was an unexpected pleasure. The room was spacious with a *really* comfortable king bed, sleeper sofa, large TV, Comcast cable modem in the room, working fireplace, kitchen with fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, pots, pans, dishes, silverware. Toilet/shower separate from sink/mirror, good shower. Notes in the room ask visitors to reuse towels & sheets to reduce pollution.Close...
good location, parking. Quiet and clean but room smelled
It look me about an hour to find the hotel, called the front desk 2 times for directions. To be fair there was road construction which did not help.
It's tucked away off the interstate, not within walking distance of Yale (but there's a shuttle), but once you find it you'll find it quite nice. A former Residence Inn, even the smallest suites have full kitchens.
