When White Dog closed it's doors here, we were saddened as we had designated it as "our place". When we found 805, we knew we had found a wonderful replacement for "our place". We have thoroughly enjoyed every meal we have had there. I find nothing over seasoned and the menu choices are wonderful

This is my neighborhood's best restaurant that isn't a pub. Love it. I'm only telling you about it so that it continues to thrive. It's never too busy that I can't be happy waiting for a table at the bar. Monday nights are cheap date night, absolutely a must.

We've eaten here often. Mostly come before going to the theater. It's always great dining. We love that there are no kids. We have 3, we don't want to eat with other peoples kids when we go out. It's quiet, small and welcoming.

I was excited to try this after reading the reviews. Overall it was very disappointing. The Caesar, while simple (just romaine and croutons) was great. My entree, however, was extremely bland. Simple salt would have been and improvement. I had pasta, and it needed parmesan and none was offered or supplied. In all, far better restaurants in Richmond.

I live in Richmond and go out for brunch every Sunday. Needless to say, I have eaten brunch in every restaurant in Richmond that offers it many times over. Avenue 805 is without a doubt the best Sunday brunch to be had in Richmond. The food is simply extraordinary.
We absolutely loved brunch at Avenue 805 - so much we took my parents 2 weeks later. Can't wait to try out 'cheap date night'.

we have had excellent experiences at 805 north davis. the food is unusually good, the service is very good and the value for the money is excellent. I had the best scallop and pasta dish I have ever had at 805.
Went there for cheap date night on a Monday night and we had dinner for two with pasta and mussels which came with salad and dessert and a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious and the price was very reasonable. The total bill was $50, including tip.
Ave. 805 is one of the best jewels in the rough in the Richmond. A tiny place with excellent ambiance, food, and service. Chef Andy Howell and his staff have a way pf making you feel welcome and at home. Make sure you are hungry when you go, as the portions are huge and delicious.
