Applebee's generally delivers a consistent, good experience. However, I do recall once when we lived on Long Island, we waited twenty minutes without any service, and when we left, we were thanked for our "business". A complaint to executive office got us a gift certificate and invitation to return - which we did. OK experience that time around.
We went there on a Sunday and were seated quickly. Our server was pleasant and prompt. The food was good and appealing. As a non-beef eater, I would have preferred more choices, but the chicken dish I had was good.
