Help us make it rightOnce a terrific bed-and-breakfast known simply as Angie's Guest Cottage, this establishment has been spiffed up in recent years, but it no longer serves breakfast. It does, however, still house one of Virginia's few official Hostelling International hostels, offering men's, women's, and coed dorm rooms plus a communal kitchen. Consequently, you'll find a delightful mix of American and...

Homey little cottage...very clean .Nice and quiet street.
My daughter and I met for a little retreat and I was taking a class there one day. The staff and cottage was nice. The Internet connection was iffy at best. Kept going in and out. TV Very little but did not watch it anyway. Room and bathroom very clean. Would not really stay again because I must have reliable internet connection when I travel in my job
Very nice and close to the beach. Room was very nice and clean. They were doing some construction at the time but kept it pretty clean and organized. Being it was music weekend, it was a little too close to bars/beach and felt like the bands were playing in the room.
We are a couple in our mid 60's. We chose this room because we wanted to be close to the beach but couldn't afford beachfront on this busy weekend. We also wanted a kitchenette. The room was located a block and 1/2 from the beach, easy walk. It was very centrally located on a dead end street, and near a nice beachfront park. It is across from a 7-11, and right near restaurants, bus line, and...
Angie's Guest Cottage, now part of Ocean Cove, in Virginia Beach provided a convenient, cozy and economical place to sleep within one block of the boardwalk with friendly and accommodating staff. Our room provided sleeping for three with a small tv and efficiency kitchen (frig, microwave & coffeemaker). There is an outside sitting are protected from the wind with a bbq. There is no ocean view.
Better than we expected. The king bed needs updated. Close to beach and good restaurants.
We were suppose to stay at "Angies Cottage" but they were repairing the private deck I thought we were suppose to get. The room we got was clean but construction lasted till late and started early in the morning the next morning. Our private deck with hammock was a joke. Would sit on deck and listen to construction and some van sitting at our door step with guys getting in and out all day with...

I was placed in the Virginia Beach area for work and was assigned a different extended stay hotel at first. That place was terrible so I simply walked the boardwalk to find a different place. From...
Of the four Hostelling International locations I stayed at during my monthlong backpacking trip down the East Coast, this was my least favorite. While it wasn't bad, sharing a room with 10 other guys seems like a stretch when there's only one restroom between us all.
