We will be back. Delicious, fresh salad....not sure why we don't come here more often! Next time I am going to try the Italian!

Oh, old friend, how special you are. I just love this place. May be the most irrationally glowing review I'll ever write. Too many good memories and solid meals here. Nothing ever takes long....

Great place for a weekend breakfast stop. We had 3 kids and 3 adults.....given a huge table in the back dining room. Breakfast was delicious, fast and our server was a sweet heart. Great coffee...

Walked in, saw the sign that said wait to be seated and waited for four minutes before a young woman behind the counter said, “You can sit down.” We did. As our server approached, she said to the young woman, “Who told them they could sit down?” It went downhill from there.
Three other parties that entered the restaurant after...

Ate here for dinner the other nite. We had eaten breakfast here before and wasn't impressed but thought we would give dinner a try. We wanted so much to like it as they have a great old fashion menu with lots of comfort foods. Unfortunately the meal was not very good at all. The fries were very greasy tasting.. My...

Very good diner food. I had the bowl of chili and a grilled cheese sandwich. My partner had the steak sub and fries. Both were very good. Nothing fancy, just good food at a good price. The service was quick and friendly. It is nice to have food that is not fast food and this place offers just that.

The place was exactly as I expected...clean..servers were experienced..food was fast and tasty and my burger was served MR as ordered. If your in a hurry and just want a tasty reasonably priced meal this is the place to go. This is not another chain or food network fantasy it's traditional tasty food served by people who understand we just...

1st visit - Place is dingy and dated and appeared to have never had a good cleaning. I ordered loaded cheese fries which were actually pretty good until I discovered more than 1 beard hair in them. Cook was in plain view and the owner of the lovely hairs was obvious. Mentioned it to the wait staff, but denied the...

Great place for breakfast

We were looking for a breakfast place in a particular area this morning and decided on Angelo's. My husband ordered a western omelet and I ordered an egg white/spinach/tomato/mushroom omelet. We both ordered the home fried potatoes and we both got toast. My husband got coffee and I got hot tea. The drinks arrived quickly. The water for the tea...

The food and service is excellent. I have never been in a place where there is so much love for the customers.
The food is overwhelming and you don't go home hungry. Couldn't ask for a better place to go...

Nothing too Impressive to Report

We have lived in the area for 10 years and had never eaten here before. We thought we should try it for breakfast first. Nothing impressing or yummy from the 5 of us that ate that day. Even the pancakes weren't that good :(

Pulled off in a normal Newport News traffic jam to get a quick meal and wait out the traffic. We were pleasantly surprised at this Shoneys/Frisch's type diner offerings of breakfast, lunch and dinner combined any time of day! Our table was filled with an eclectic mix of pancakes, lasagna, grilled chicken and Greek food. There was something for everyone's...

Great Prime Rib and Salads

This restaurant has Prime Rib and Steak specials on Friday nights. The prime rib is seasoned very well and is so tender. You get a choice of potato and a garden salad. Recently I went back for dinner. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and bacon bits! It looked so appealing and tasted just as good as it...

My family and I just left this establishment and were very disappointed. I had a chicken sandwich. The chicken was so hard I could not cut it with a knife. The fries were sitting in oil. My children ordered the kids pancakes but never received syrup or butter. They were very dry. I would have asked the server for butter...

Angelo's steak and pancake on j Clyde in nn via is by far the worst place I have ever eaten at!! My family and I will NEVER EVER go there again!! The service was great from the servers but our food was cold and had to wait after sending my meal back 3 times for my steak not being cooked...

Let me tell you I have been a customer for MANY years. Sometimes we eat there 2-3 times a week including weekends. The s...ervice has gone to hell. Valentines Day night was the worst experience ever or so I thought. That night after waiting more than 45-minutes for our food I watched the waitress sit my meal down in front of two different people before bringing it over to me. I was so grossed...

First time at Angelos - visited with little kids. Felt like a family restaurant. The waitress was excellent (very fast and faded away when the kids started having a tantrum) and the food was all good. Have to say that the Pepperoni Baked Spagetti was to die for as was the french fries. OUTstanding.

We usually check the reviews here first. But our family eats here often and love it! Since we almost always give good reviews, we want to show our honesty! We share our actual experiences. The family said the chopped steak is the best and Bill agreed! Not being a red meat eater, both one sister and I went for salmon....

Not What I Thought. I have been wanting to pop in and try Angelo's for a few months. So this morning I popped in for breakfast. Upon entering my first impression was DATED. Really dated. There is a table in the entry that is covered with tons of business cards, flyers, for sale tickets, etc. So many business owners think this adds to their client loyalty. When all it really does is add clutter...

At breakfast at this restaurant this morning, We were disappointed. It is an "Old Fashion" style Restaurant so we were expecting a good Old Fashion Breakfast. The decor is old but clean. we've stopped here several times on our way to & from Va. Beach, and we haven't been disappointed. Good sized portions, reasonable prices & good service. The atmosphere could be improved, it's so-so and.they're going through bathroom renovations.

We visited this restaurant back in August 2011. I honestly can't remember what we had but our bill for the 3 of us was over $70. The chairs were not only lumpy but my husband thought he was going to fall through his. It was in dire need of updating but it okay. I think we would return if back...

Have eaten here largely for breakfast. They have reasonable prices, the atmosphere is acceptable as are the wait staff. The food comes out quickly but the seats are bumpy and the decor aging quickly. Bad day I assume!

I would rate it poor except that the apparent owner decided he would rather yell “What did you eat” rather than ask what the problem was! At about 6:30 on Thurs 09/15/2011, 3 of us decided to have a hamburger steak dinner and hamburger boat at Angelos. We were seated and 2 of us were asked for our drink order, 1 wasn’t even asked. A different waitress asked for our appetizer and salad order. 30...
