My experience was very awful. The room was not cleaned, no soap, cup, face towels in the room. The Ac or refrigerator was not turned on upon arrival at 10:30 pm even though check in was at 3pm. I requested for non smoking room, but the room stenched with smoke. I had to request for a room change, yet the second room was not any better. I will recommend that the facility be inspected and will...

was stuffed in a room next to a lady with a handful of noisy kids and a dangerous pitbull that would lunge out the door at people. at one point, this lard butt miss piggy lady started an,argument with me b/c i asked her not to talk to me. she began threatening to "bash my face in" and "choke me...
This is the Days Inn, not the Radisson or the Hampton Inn. We didn't have high expectations, but we did expect affordable and clean place to stay. By that expectation, we got exactly what we paid for.
The staff could have been friendlier, but they were certainly not rude to us.
The breakfast was fairly standard for a hotel. There...
Stayed here in May '12 because it was near the airport and at the time the website offered "free" transportation to and from the airport. We had free transportation to return our rental car the night before our flight out and was assured that would be available at 5:30 the next morning. When we went to the office the following...
Learned a valuable lesson....stick to you gut when it gives you a baaaaaad feeling!!!!!! As stated in the other reviews, the "shuttle" service was bogus (however he saved my tail by getting us the heck out of there). Got there, had some shady characters make comment about my kids (I was traveling without my husband). Had shady looking folks greet...
Room was decent, clean. Comfortable bed. friendly staff. reasonable price. location was perfect. I am sure I will visit you VERY SOON.
I would say one of the nicest hotel in the town b/c of the people and the room. This is the third time I stayed there however I am writing a first review. Hotel is running by new manager and he is one of the fantastic person and other staff were also very nice. I did not feel anytime of my entire stay that i was staying in the hotel, in short amazing family environment. Safe area, Room was...
We went to Richmond to see my cousin, who is at Fort Lee. He will be deploying in about a week so we wanted to make sure we saw him before he left. Let me state, it was a last minute trip. With that said, you still want to have a nice experience. Once off the plan we went to...
safe area, room was okay, location is best, staff okay, has big swimming pool :) , probably will visit again !!
Average. The front desk personnel were friendly. It is a three story building with no elevator, only outside stairways.
There was a ink pen top & strands of hair on the bed upon my arrival. All the lights were unplugged, i thought they didnt work. The mini refrigerator was DISGUSTING!! OVERALL, IT IS WORTH $20 NT $60. I WILL NT B GOING THERE AGAIN.
room smelled of cigarettes, floor was very dirty - like it had never been swept, old food on floor behind door, no alarm clock, packets of pills (advil) was out dated after purchase from machine, staff hard to understand languate, pool was filled with green water
I read a lot of the reviews before I picked this hotel. I went to Richmond for the Nascar race so my options for hotels were limited. I wanted a hotel that offered a shuttle to and from airport and to and from the race. I read a review where someone else had an issue with the airport shuttle so...
Language barrier, children unsupervised, disabled person left outside while care taker visiting the office at 11 p.m., reverse discrimination. Would not advise anyone to pay their money for this hotel.
It is by far the worst experience I ever had at a hotel. I am very lenient when it comes to hotels and am able to overlook most things. I was only staying there one night so it normally wouldnt be a big deal if it was bad.
..
Safety - the back side of the hotel was a zoo....
Worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Please stay away.
There was nothing to like. We left as soon as entered the room, and heard lots of commotion outside. My wife began sneezing when we entered the room.\n\nEverything: safety, cleanliness, condition of the hotel, homeless guest, unsupervised children running through the parking lot, loud noise level.\n\n
This hotel was a major disappointment. The room was dirty, 3 light bulbs were out, and the...
Staff helpful and friendly.\n\nThe air conditioner did not work in our room.\n\nOk, better had the AC functioned correctly.
Nothing\n\nBare bones: bed & bath; no amenities; filthy.\n\nDo not stop or even slow down when you pass this place by. Star rating: 0. No amenities: no microwave, no refrigerator, no hair dryer, no toiletries...nothing but a bed, and a bath that I wouldn't have used for any amount of money. Slept on top of the bed cover.
Check-in staff very friendly, helpful.\n\nNo shuttle bus. Late night check in staff person was very personable and helpful. Hotel rooms were very neat, bottom level recently renovated (excluding the bathrooms), they have "pillow top" beds which were extremely comfortable. The only problem was even though I called to confirm shuttle service, the management told me ran from 4 Am to 11 PM, this is...
Location based on events I was attending.\n\nNo digital thermostat.
Wall paper peeling from the walls, carpets that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, paper thin walls, a toilet that ran every 10 minutes, a sink that echoed anytime another room ran water, and an uncomfortable bed.The whole reason we stayed there was because it was close to the airport and advertised parking and a shuttle service to the airport. They don't mention it, but parking is...
ASAP I emailed Days Inn about how bad this hotel was and they were nice enough to offer me a discount next time I stayed in one of there rooms. Within and hour I recieved a nasty gram stating they were going to sue me for the damage in the room.
Why would I take the time to let them...
Friendly staf.\n\nBroken toilet.
Shower curtain was moldy, bed sheets did not fit the king size.\n\n
The staff was friendly & gave us a non-smoking room, king bed in favor of the room we had to select which was double beds, smoking. The room could have been cleaner, shower curtain was moldy, no tub mat. The sheets on king bed were just top sheet, no fitted sheet on bottom.
Nothing!\n\nEverything.\n\nThere were stains on the bedsheets, burn holes in blanket, no heat, smelled awful, bathroom was disgusting, and there were cockroaches!
The entire property is in disrepair and disgustingly filthy. The heat/ac did not fuction properly. I usually stay at branded hotels to avoid situations like this. I am amazed that Day's Inn has not pulled the franchise for this property.
An old hotel that hasn't been modernized. Didn't look dirty but had an air of neglect. The airport shuttle (at least at 5am) is the front desk clerk and her SUV, hardly high end but she was perfectly friendly. Very close to the airport.I needed a cheap place to crash for 8 hours before an early flight, and this suited. If that's all you're looking for than this is fine.
How do I hate thee-let me list the ways.Room filthy.Door lock card did not work-locked out of room-even after three trips to the desk-desk staff rude and unhelpful (one exception)l-doors to night stand hanging off the hinges- towels tatty and less than clean-bed linen threadbare with holes- just rags- bed uncomfortable-cheap & nasty coffee maker (one plastic cup).No regular coffe-no...
Nothing, room had wall damage and broken shower head.\n\nWas not clean, in need of repairs, mattress cover was wrong size to small.\n\nI would not stay there again, Motel six would have been cheaper and cleaner as well as not having holes in the walls. The shower head was broken and other guest were complaining when I checked out.
There was nothing to like. Days Inn should investigate this property.\n\nFacility was below standards.\n\nTravelers should avoid this hotel. The facility was filthy, the air conditioning smelled and the location was noisy.
The room had an odor. The carpet was mildew. A towel that someone used or cleaned with was on the dresser. The tub was wet as thought someone had just used the room. I killed 2 roaches. Cob webs in the room. I will never use a Days Inn again. The upkeep is poor. The staff was nice. I could not eat anyting in that room. I was nauseated due to the nastiness.
You might get away with treating customers like that in a 3rd world country, but not here and last very long, we also expect things to be cleaner here, unlike the usual dead body and bugs youre use to at home, then to double charge for the stay, you refuse to do anything to take care of it , SEEMS...
stayed 30 min ....told the clerk was the worst hotel i had ever stayed at...bugs,roaches,staind sheets, blood on pillow, nasty, when i told them i was checking out not to charge my credit card ,they said because i had a res,i would be charged...took 2 months to get the charge of my credit card.....dont stays here
We stayed here for a single night stop-over based mostly on price, so I can't really complain since you get what you pay for. The building itself cannot really be called anything other than a dump; while walking the decaying crooked outside corridors you wonder whether they may just break off under you. The rooms themselves are slightly better and...
This hotel is so old and in such bad shape I am very surprised it has not been condemned. The porch on the second level felt like it was ready to collapse and the floor in the room felt like it was compromised. The location is convenient to the airport, but it is very noisy. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.
I really wish I had stumbled upon this page of comments prior to my stay... MITE INFESTED!!!! DO NOT GO!!!! Like all others, I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport. I arrived at the hotel around 12AM and there was no one at the door for me to check in with. After waiting 15 minutes, someone...

The Days Inn at Sandston is very close to Richmond International Airport which is why I made reservations there. There were dead bugs in the bathroom. A wicker basket with the 99 cent tag still on it held the complimentary coffee.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms weren't too clean. The beds uncomfortable and too short. I found 15 cents and plenty of dirt on the floor around the beds. The wood was showing through the material on the box springs of the bed. I went to plug in the lamp and the electric socket was not firmly attached to the wall. The upper lock on our room was broken. ...
