In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters....
I am a Stubs member and have coming to this theater for years. It has been completely remodeled and has upgraded everything. Best part is that when purchasing tickets you can choose your seat(s)! No more random folks coming in late during the movie and asking if good seats are taken when your trying to watch the movie. In addition,...
Although it is a little pricey, sometimes you just have to splurge on those special movies. Seeing Star Wars at this IMAX location was the perfect date night.
This theater has just undergone a complete renovation. We were anxious to compare it to a newer local theater so we visited yesterday. We were very disappointed. We ordered our tickets online. I like that if you are a Stubs reward member, there was no service charge for the online ordering. When we arrived, we went to the kiosk inside...
This was my first visit to this theater in many years, and I was pleasantly surprised. The theater now offers oversized reclining seats which provide excellent viewing comfort.
I'm a hard core movie goer. I can see up to 4 movies a week. Possibly 6. Since the upgrade I'm favoring this theater more and more over the Paragon theater in Newport News. Both theaters have reclining seats that are Uber super comfortable. With the new upgrades at AMC. The seats are position as if you are watching the...
Let me tell you why this is my favorite movie theater. This AMC location has redone the right side of the building in all stadium full recliner seats. Yes you push a button and you feel like you're in bed. Feet up head back and comfy chairs. And you have good viewing if the screen. They are redoing the left...
I hate writing bad reviews this is justifiable. Roger Waters - The Wall was showing around the world for a limited engagement. How limited? One night only, September 29, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. One showing and it will never be in theaters again. My brother got our tickets back in June so we were looking forward to this for months....
Excellent theater with 24 screens plus they can also play IMAX movies there too. Excellent customer service. The theater was clean and well maintained. Went on a week night to see MInions and had no lines to deal with. Restrooms were average and did not see any issues as you do with some theaters. Sound quality and screen were average...
I have never sat in as stiff a movie seat as these. Ticket sales are outside (not so much fun in the rain, even though there's a roof) and the ticket gal sold us tickets to a wrong movie. That wouldn't have been as big a deal except there are 24 theaters and finding the right one without the theater...
I love this movie theater, it is the one I always go to. I love that they have the earliest showtimes of any other local theater and the early show is a little cheaper. There is a huge parking lot and the inside of the theater is huge. Sometimes they have showings as early as 10ish, right now in November...
Expensive!!!
AMC needs to improve their popcorn sizes. Their large is the same size as Regal's medium.
I practically live here. Best place for avid movie goers!
Ive been going to amc 24 for years, their prices can be steep; however, its a great experience when you go. Their mon-thu prices are great, if you don't want to pay 10+ don't go to the movies. If you don't have a job and can't afford $5 mon-thu per person then you probably shouldn't be going anyway, go to redbox! Its cheaper. Downside, you have to wait till the hits are on dvd. The staff is...
It's bigger, for one, and two they have $5 showings from Mon-Thursday all day long. Unlike the Regal who charges $7.50 for matinee. The theaters are bigger than the Regal and it's not flooded with senior citizens, it's very diverse when it comes to everything. There's more food choices, even though it's extremely expensive like every movie theatre. They give you back rewards for going to...
Amc shows the best quality films and they stick behind customer satifaction. Their theater is clean and the space view at the top of the celing is beautiful. They employees make you feel welcome and make you want to come again.
AMC Movie Theater is clearly the best. The staff there are very kind and helpful. You guys are always working hard and that's why your number 1!!!!!!
Expensive, you bet...but the best tasting popcorn in town.
There are 6.5 million people who have lost their jobs since January, these people are in rough times but still have the need for entertainment. Your earily $5 shows are great, $4 would be better. Example: your very first movie goes on sell for $4.00 (like 11am)----the very NEXT showing goes to $5.00 for all movies on that day. Now lets talk about your FOOD PRICES, they are TERRIBLE. I have...
With what they charge for popcorn and a drink, their concession employees should be better trained. You get better service at McDonalds....at least they "act" appreciative of your business. I have been coming to this theater for years. The employees behind the counter lack expression, emotions, and act robotic when taking your order. They should train their staff at at least smile at the...
I know right? That bugs me when popular business like amc 24 give out numbers and never answer the darn phone!!!!!! {The theater it self isn't bad, but they need to up grade with there telephone people, you know}
Great place for movies. Very clean very big. Has lots of theaters with comfy seats and big screens. Never to cold or to hot. Quick to get in even with lots of people going. A little more expensive but worth it...
