Almost drove right past it! It's a really cute place. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. I wasn't very wowed by their food though. I'm not sure if I...
Well, Well, Well. What can we say about this place... If you are in Virginia Beach and are craving the flavors of Hawaii, this is definitely the spot to...
I wasn't sure about this restaurant since it had some poor reviews. It's actually ok though, since I know what to expect from it now. Much like your typical...
My husband took me here because it was close by and he was craving some good Hawaiian BBQ. The problem was there was a full restaurant and only one cashier/waitress and only two older cooks in the back. The wait was an hour! Now if this was some kick butt, take me back to maui kind of food, that would...
Love this place! I'm sad I don't live as close as I used to stop by at least twice a week for a plate lunch. They also serve the Thai menu from Bangkok Gardens which is also quite good. Another place you can't go wrong with your choice but the beef and kalbi short ribs are fantastic! The kalua pork is good as well but can be on the salty side from time to time. Aloha!
We pulled into the parking lot, near the entrance. We entered the restaurant. The restaurant operators knew us as we were regulars.
We placed our orders one person at a time throughout our group. I selected a menu item that included beef, French fries, rice, and salad. I also ordered Thai Chai.
The rest of the group went through and...
Overall, if you were to blink.........you'd tottally "miss" this place. The roof has a grass skirt type of look and as you enter, the hanging menu can be overwhelming to most....as small groups were standing to my left and right....I would ask, have you ordered yet...and they both replied........."No, we are still deciding." FYI, there is a small trifold menu...
Not Hawaiian but some say I could pass for one.. 1. I've never been to Hawaii so I have no idea what "real" Hawaiian food is. That being said:
If you like bbq, and are in town, this is the place you need to be. The meat is beyond delicious, they have a wide variety of sides to chose from and at an unbeatable price. I will say depending on who helps you the staff can be kind of rude, but there are some that truly make you feel...
My wife and I visited Aloha Hawaiian BBQ (Aloha) in early July 2014 during a five night stay in VA Beach. Aloha is located in a section of town with some small strip malls.
Aloha is a cafeteria style place. You place and pay for your order at the front desk, and you food is brought out to you on...
While waiting for a room at our hotel, we ventured out to some stores to look for a beach chair and found this restaurant. There weren't a whole lot of great choices in the immediate area, and this seemed like it might be something different at least. It definitely was different! It's simple and inexpensive; you order at a counter...
We loved this place...Exceptional Customer Service & Excellent Food!! I wish we had one at home...it was so good we ordered to go to bring some back.
Very close to the real thing.. but still very good.
Beware of employee reviews!! Awful be sure to bring directions to another rest.
Cold food and ... Nin descript.
My kid introduced me to this place. The menu has things you won't find anywhere else. Hawaiian dishes, bbq, thai dishes. Interesting mix. Prices are cheap. You can get a whole plate of food for under 8 dollars. Everyone that came in while we were there was in their twenties. Looks like they found good food that will not break...

Ate there today ...based on past GOOD???...reviews...ABSOLUTELY THE WORST FOOD AND SERVICE IN VA. BEACH!!
Don't even think about eating the food...AND standing in line in this former Burger King is awful.
Food is delivered to your table..COLD...as though its a favor ..and late to your table.
The staff..obviously ,,,a family business...cold and pretentiously aloof!
I ordered A...
Never stayed to eat, always ordered it to go so can't comment on eating in. Absolutely love the Kalua Pork, Loco Moco and must have macaroni salad. Prices are very reasonable and you get alot of food for the price. My husband loves the Pad Kee Mao. Give it a try!
Ordinary. Took my wife out to lunch. She ordered the Lau Lau platter and tilapia. The lau lau was tasteless; it tasted as if it was old pork. The tilapia filets were razor thin with little fish and too much breading. My aloha burger looked like it was prepared by a child. The burger was split in half. I was given a mound of onions, lettuce and tomato and piled on as an afterthought. I don't...
This place was pretty good and the price of the food was not bad for what you get. Barbecue spare ribs my husband ordered was very, very good. My garlic shrimp was alright. I was not blown away. Plating looks good and the atmosphere was nice. We'd definitely come back to try something different from the menu!
Home Run. Me and my wife work a lot so going out to eat is our "recreation." Well, I was a hero when I picked this place last Tuesday! I understood why this place was so good when I saw a menu for Bangkok Garden on the counter. It seems they share the same owner with several of the local Bangkok Gardens according to the very nice lady at the counter. I'm still trying to get my wife to try Pad...
Not bad. It wasn't too bad for Hawaiian, they did a decent job. There isn't too many choices for Hawaiian on this side of the country or in Virginia Beach for that matter. So we were pleasantly surprised. Worth a try but of course keep in mind where we all live.
Aloha Hawaiian BBQ gets 5 stars because it is SIMPLE and has great food nonetheless. Also, it's a "must-have" for me whenever I visit Virginia Beach, my hometown. I honestly get really sad if I…
Nothing special here. I tried their infamous Korean Ribs, and I got what felt like more bones and stringy meat, than flavorful meat served to me. They have great Manapua though! Don't expect to be…
Non authentic Hawaiian food unless you count teriyaki flavoring. The spam and eggs was probably the best. The BBQ mix was overcooked and dry.
I was looking for a good place to take my friends visiting from out of town and decided to take them here based on the reviews. The people working there were friendly and the food came out pretty…

All of you yelpers were right, this place was good! I had the kalbi short ribs, hawaiian fried rice with shrimp, spam musubis and aloha tea. I shared, I'm totally not that fat. The kalbi was tasty. It…

This is a pretty casual bbq place and I liked how we could order the food first and sit down and have the food come out pretty quickly. They had these premade pork buns on the counter and I tried one…

I ordered the Mahi Mahi with mashed potatoes. It was not what is advertised on their website. The Mahi Mahi was a step up from frozen fish sticks and the mash potatoes taste like that were from KFC.…

You feel like FAMILY when dining in! Love the Hawaiian & Thai emphasis! (Bangkok Garden owners?) Very reasonably priced! If they stayed open until 2:00 AM on the weekends, they would make a KILLING!
