My wife and I and another couple had dinner there a month ago. I was not expecting much based on the location (in a strip mall) and because it wasn't one of the "restaurants" I hear about often. Well, I was wrong. The food was great! The chicken parmesean with the side of pasta had the best sauce I have ever eaten. Everyone loved their dinners and the wine. It was truly one of the best meals that we have ever eaten in Hampton Roads.
Absolutely the best on the Penninsula! My husband and I were looking for delicious vegetarian fare during our Lenten observance. We have given up eating anything with a face for 40 days--so that creates a challenge for us, especially in a seafood area. But now that we have found Al Fresco, we need to look no further! My eggplant dish was scrumptious(it was an expanded appetizer), and his wild mushroom ravioli was exquisite! We topped it off with a delectable tropical sorbet encased in whhite chocolate. Bellissima! Our waitstaff was attentive and friendly, and had the best suggestions to make our meal memorable. We will return to dine there during Lent, and come back again when we're eating seafood! Bravo!
We were a party of 10 for lunch and the food was absolutely fantastic. We had each ordered something different and had a wide sampling of most of the menu. The service was just as great as the food. We were seated out in the patio area which was very pleasant. If you love great Italian food and professional service this is the resturant to visit. My friends insisted that I mention the various desserts available, again we all ordered something different and it was a totally out of the world experience.... definately a place to have a beautiful meal and experience.

Very romantic setting. A bit pricey, so I would save it for special occasions. Cashew chicken was very delicious. It was a special though, so not sure how often they have it. It wasn't the normal Irish fare for St. Paddy's Day but I was in more of an Italian frame of mind. All Fresco is always a sure bet for a lovely evening and a great meal. Great Food. This is great Italian food! Everything is so flavorful and fresh here. The portions are good for the price and service is very attentive and quick.
Nice Quiet Lunch Out. Though a little pricey, to those of you who are budget minded, it was a nice quiet place to eat lunch with my husband. I would NOT recommend this eatery to families with young children since it seems more of a date or business setting....and stays pretty quiet as a whole in that regard.
Classic Experience. Al Fresco is a really nice classy spot for lunch or dinner. I enjoyed there garden chicken salad for lunch. Theyhave amazing Italian dishes as well. I frequent there often. I reccomend you give them a shot. You wont be disappointed.
