Went in off peak time, but looked like fun place to grab a drink or bite and stare out at the ocean. Didn't eat but menu looked good - average selection on tap list. Nice bartender

Drinks were okay, but the place just looked unsanitary. Spills were not mopped up, instead they pour salt on the floor, so wet salt is walked all through the restaurant, including the rest rooms!

This place was supposed to have a large selection of beers but everything we really wanted was not available. To top it off, the food was pedestrian at best. Crummy burgers that tasted frozen. Not a good experience. What's sad is that it used to be a pretty decent place. I'll be going out elsewhere from now on.
I was please with the meal and the service. We had a late dinner and our adult children wanted to go here. This was our first night at the beach and what a nice welcome. The steak was done to perfection and the side were large and "over the top". Head for the Taphouse!
Went here for drinks while on vacation. Didn't have trouble getting seats at the bar. My wife had several mixed drinks, she thoroughly enjoyed them. I had beer. Selection on beer was pretty good. Appetizers looked really good. Prices seemed a little high, but it is a boardwalk location. We would go back again.
Taphouse has great beer and always has, but their service can be awful. I've been several times and the beer and food are always good but the servers tend to not be attentive or helpful. I'd sit at the bar if you visit, you'll get way better service!!

We went here for lunch today. I had the shrimp and steak burrito wrap with onion rings. My husband had a hamburger topped with mac n cheese, his 2 favorite foods combined. He chose fries that he said were very good. I had a summer lager on tap and he had the hard apple cider that we enjoyed very much.
A couple of years ago this place had an amazing risotto ball app, but it seems to have fallen off the latest menu. Too bad. Now it's just a nice bar with a fine burger. Nothing at all wrong with that, but certainly not even close to one of the best meals I've ever had. Nicely average place.
Sorry...we didn't like this food. My hubby had the wings - can't remember the flavor - and because there was nothing appealing to me on the menu, I ordered popcorn shrimp from the kids' menu, and it was not up to par. The breading was yucky. The crab soup, however, was very tasty. Anyway...we wouldn't go there again.

My wife and I visited the 11th street tap house when in VA Beach. They have very good food and very good service. I really enjoyed there wings of the day. But above all they are an excellent Tao house. With 32 beers on tap. A lot of them are local craft beers. The local craft beers are very good....
Ordered 2 burgers and it took more than 45 minutes to get our food. One was cooked too much. The other was a burger with Mac & Cheese which sounded good but was awful. Mac & Cheese was from a box with a spray can of cheese on top. Onion rings and drinks were great.
Taphouse Bar & Grill is located at the Hampton inn Oceanfront South. It has a nice patio with great beach view but also large TV screens to watch sports as well inside. We had two apps during app happy hour, a burger one meal and three cokes. $55 with tip. Service was excellent. Food was nothing special at all and the price was just a bit high for value. But, the location and the outside seating are great, great, great. Recommend for beachside conversation.

This was very convenient for us being located in the Hampton Inn where we were staying.
The food here is pretty typical for beachside food, but it was prepared correctly and much better than the average. Service is efficient and friendly. Good selection of beer and wine. Lots of seating inside and out.
