I wish that it was possible to give this place ZERO STARS! What a clown show. We reserved a 24' moving truck a on a Monday, on Friday took the train down to Syracuse (~$60), only to walk in to this hell hole Saturday morning 8am, just like it said on the reservation--that we made 6 days ago--to be told, "Oops, it seems no one called you. You don't actually have a truck--no truck at all, as a matter of fact! NOTHING is available. BUT, to compensate you for your woes, we can give you a "substantial" (the actual word used) discount....of 13% off!" What?? are these people serious? An international cooperation belileves that 13% is a substantial discount? Do they know that when a person reserves a 24' truck it's because they have a lot of s@!t to move? As in, you call your friends, and make sure people are available and coordinate and.....wait! hold on! just kidding! no one cares and no one can help you! Haha! Joke is on you, silly person, Budget "Reservation only guarantees the rate quoted and shows a customer's preferences for a pickup location, dropoff location, time of rental, date of rental and equipment type." And it is apparently impossible when you do get some one on the phone with you at Budget to explain how despite the use of the word "guarantee" NOTHING is promised to you, or held for you. They frankly don't even promise to be professional. BOO BUDGET! BOO RENT-A-WRECK! YOU ARE A S@!T SHOW! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! Now we get to spend another $60 (you do the math! we're out $120!) to take the train home and because they promise you nothing, YOU are responsible for THEIR failed reservation and THEIR failure to call you and inform you if this fact.
I made a reservation for a truck 2 weeks in advance and gave a credit card to hold it. The day of pick up I got a message on my voicemail at 8 am asking me confirm my reservation (I was supposed to pick the truck up at noon). I got another message at about 11 am letting me know my truck had been sold and they have nothing available. I'm moving in 2 days and now I have no truck. This place is very unprofessional. Luckily I got on the phone with penske and got a truck for a decent price. It was slightly more expensive (5%) but it was worth in after the jam that that rent-a-wreck put me in. I would avoid this place and make your reservation somewhere else becaue clearly a reservation means nothing to them.
