I wouldn't say this is a poor hotel, but somewhat below average. The room was clean and the hotel is conveniently located right next to a Cracker Barrel. However, the shower controls were wonky, the sound proofing is non-existent (lots of noise from the road and from adjacent rooms), and the a/c doesn't seem to work very well. Overall, enough...

We called to check availability, and verify they would accept the coupon we had. The clerk stated that since it was after midnight, and was technically Friday, weekend rates applied. Stopped for one night on the way to FL. Hotel is dated but the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. We didn't have any problems with our stay. Not sure I would stay a week here but it is adequate for a one or two night stay.

Stayed with our 2 dogs while traveling to FL. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
It's not a four star hotel. But while traveling with the dogs, we don't expect that. Good value for the money. Exactly as advertised and expected

Not sure how it got an "Award of Excellence". Staff was friendly enough and breakfast hostess was very helpful, even made the waffles. OJ was not watered down as in most hotels.
