Inspired by constructivism, yet fueled by bohemian creativity, the intimate atmosphere lends itself to an urban vibe of sophistication and style. A caviar Bar that prides itself in serving the best cocktails and martinis alongside Russian inspired food, there are...

That back-in-the-USSR frisson endures at this "subterranean" NoLita bar/lounge, where the "Russian feel" is defined by "pouting waitresses" delivering "tricked-out vodka drinks" and house infusions in "dark" digs decorated with Soviet kitsch; not as buzzy as before but still as "expensive" as ever, it's a standby spot "to hide from the city."
This subterranean bar is still one of the sexiest spots around, despite the glasnost theme. Grab a low-slung table, hail one of the slinky waitresses and order one of the bar's many infused vodkas, single malt Scotches or bottles of…
Pravda is an underground Caviar Bar that prides itself in serving the best Cocktails and Martinis alongside Russian inspired food. Modelled on a subterranean Russian speak-easy, one can almost imagine the smoke filled rooms of yesteryear. The small bar upstairs is one of New York's little secrets, and is a perfect place to start an evening of debauchery. Although you might have a hard time...
This Bolshevik-chic lounge (which careful watchers might recognize from Sex and the City ) makes pricey but perfect martinis for a classy crowd drawn in by the romantic pre-Gorbachev revolutionary vibe. More than 70 vodkas are on hand from 18 countries, and plenty of Russian caviar to wash down with those pricey cocktails. There's no sign, so look for the light that says "281" on the east side...
Having fallen from its place on the hot list serves this clandestine underground lounge and its imported-vodka devotees well. Without pressure to impress, its dramatic interior casts a much warmer...
I absolutely love coming to this place. The service is stellar, the coctail menu diverse and the atmosphere vibrant.
.......although being there on Date Nite (Thurs) probably made it much louder than I recalled from previous visits.
The infused vodka was excellent. I would suggest the fig, chili and horseradish, and ginger infusions.
First time at Pravda...loved it all...thought the place looked cool ...very hush, hush.
Outstanding food and service.

Late Night / After Hours, DJs: When it first opened, Pravda was one of those places that only the pretty people could enter. Today, the restaurant/lounge is still a favorite among some local sophisticates but not the glamour scene that it once was. Fortunately, though, Pravda has managed to maintain a bit of mystery (of course, the sub-level location helps) — from antique Russian furniture to...

Billing itself as an "underground caviar bar" and boasting over 70 varieties of vodka, Pravda offers a touch of Europe in Manhattan. The food is also of a Russian bent and those not to try one of the 10 the house-infused vodkas can sip a martini or cocktail.
