Total bs customer service from sales to shop. Called in an order, was told they would have done ASAP, paid over phone, showed up and wasn't ready. The shop told me we work until 5 and it'll be done before then(@230pm). Then proceeded to tell me if I didn't wanna wait, to go inside and get my refund. Really? Terrible customer service. I am glad steel prices are down, for a holes like this.

Just Lost Another Customer!!!
We are a mid-size general contractor located in NoVA and have done business with Potomac Steel over the years. Called today to inquire about a specific piece of tread plate needed for one of our projects, and was completely blown off by the sales rep. Told me they stocked 4x8 sheets and if i needed a different size to come down and sort thru the piles myself. ...

Maybe fine for pros or large accounts, but unhelpful and a terribly crappy attitude towards me, just a guy looking for a small amout for a personal project.

If you're a home/hobbyist or part time blacksmith, look elsewhere.
